Where To Buy??? - OnePlus Nord Questions & Answers

Literally every website I have seen so far says that LineageOS 17.1 works with OnePlus Nord N100, except the official LineageOS wiki. Maybe not literally, but I'm getting very frustrated because I started with LineageOS's website, searched Amazon for a OnePlus Nord, they have Zero (that I can see) and instead keep redirecting me to the N100.
Sites like https://lineageos-device-finder.org/devices/avicii-oneplus-nord when you click "Check Price" it takes you to Amazon's N100 page. Not helpful since they're not the same phone.
Not realizing a difference, I bought the N100. Thankfully, I went to double check the versions prior to start the process of loading TWRP and such. But now I just spent $200 on a phone, hopefully I can return to Amazon. Or risk keeping it hoping that a LineageOS release comes to this phone. But, I can't find any information on whether Lineage is developing a version for the N100.
So, back to my main question: Where can I find the base Nord for sale? Amazon. Ebay. Nothing I can find says this is a Nord avicii. Is the N10 an avicii? Not even OnePlus' own website tells me which version is the avicii.
I apologize if my frustration is coming out in this post. I've been looking for days and not finding answers is only increasing my frustration. So if someone could point me int he right direction, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Okay, I kinda found my answer. But before I get to that, I want thank everybody here at XDA. You guys are awesome! I've been rooting my phones for over ten years that the smarter than people over here.
To answer my own question, after taking a break and doing some digging, apparently this phone is not available in the US. It would have been nice if Lineage or something somewhere called the avicii an international phone, but it is what is it.
If you came trying to find a OnePlus Nord and can only find the N100, the rooting steps by Alex over at https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/method-for-root-oneplus-nord-n100-be2011-unlocked.4298907/ worked like a charm. I'm gonna go over there and post a review of the process.
Thanks again everybody.

[Q] Is root possible on 5.0.1?

I spent the past hour or so looking everywhere I could and trying a few things that looked promising, most notably this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/general/vomerguides-m8-bootldr-unlock-s-off-t2800727 Step 0 worked just fine (as far as I can tell) but I can't get into fastboot.
I just got a new M8 through verizon's insurance. My old one running kitkat I was able to root with relative ease, but this one I can't find anything. I've mostly been eliminating posts by date, since (according to wikipedia at least) lollipop was released in November 2014, so I rule out posts like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2697957 since they'll apply to kitkat.
I apologize if I missed a post with my answer already. I know how annoying it can be to ask questions that have already been answered, but like I said, I couldn't find anything.

Short answer is no. You cannot unlock via HTC dev as Verizon has blocked it. Sunshine does not support this os yet.
You might be able to find someone nearby with a java card who can s-off your phone.
Are there any shops that might have java cards and let people use them? I've been itching to use some custom roms but I live on the other side of the country from dottat

I live on the complete opposite side of the country from dottat. But I overnighted my device to and from him just to get it done. (I have a friend that get's 80%+ discounts through FedEx)
But I am sad to say, my device has been destroyed due to hardware failure. (My screen is having a problem, my earpiece is no longer functional, and my volume up button no longer works, all because of my screen cracking... if anyone knows where I can get replacement parts, please PM me.

Tab E T560nu/LineageOS/NetHunter

this is the first device I've had success modding, and i was blown away when i was able to install NetHunter as well I started this crazy business about a year and a half ago when i got an S6 for my wife and an S6 Edge+ for my daughter, needless to say I was not successful modding those devices I was almost discouraged to the point that i was going to pursue a different hobby when i came across some dude selling a samsung Tab E (probably hot) that was locked, and, go figure, the dude didn't have the password. i gave him $50 and decided to give it a go.
as the process dragged on i realized, and no offense to the almighty devs, that i needed to stop adhering to all the "rules". it's quoted like scripture here that one should NEVER try to flash components that don't match... lol

First off I have to say the first link is likely a phishing link. It pops up some reward for 5 billionth search and if you back out wrong another rewards page pops up. Mods please remove the link for security issues.
Second the github nethunter installer is no longer a valid repository.
Ok I'm really curious about putting nethunter on this device. I've had it rooted since I bought it. Twrp on it with a stock rom (oreo) but far outdated security updates. I see in this post I can throw lineage os on it which I never knew was possible before seeing this post. I couldnt find any custom roms. I'm going to flash that reguardless. I did several times in this device flash different versions of this stock rom and never had a problem. Atm I've got a nook device haha. So I know this device is versatile with or without the patching link.
The only place I can find nethunter is on kali site. But obviously this device is not on their page for downloads. I see theyve got a couple different generic android kernel downloads but I'm unsure of they will setup correctly. I cant see any assuring information that I wont damage the device flashing. I can deal with any brick, I just dont want to damage any chip.
This person really didnt layout how he went about it and just posted some useful links of repositories or tools. I really want nethunter and being I cant have it on my newer bootloader locked samsungs, and I dont have the funds for the one plus 7 pro atm, I'm hoping someone can assist me or give me a little more information on how to get nethunter. I have several kali builds on pc and laptops and VMS dating back to 2015 but as far as a useful handheld os I dont have and am unfamiliar with, yet i want it sooo bad. Thanks

Hello all!
First of all I'll say that having spent several hours browsing the forums here I am in awe of what you're all able to achieve!
Anyway, here's my story...
My partner and I have not long moved to South Korea and, with my first paycheck here I decided to treat myself to a Mate 9 after HOURS of research. I've always had older, cheaper smart phones and this was a real 'treat yourself' purchase for me. I ordered my new phone on Gmarket and it arrived, from China, a week later (last Friday). Since then I've been knocking my head against the wall. It's not the international version I've bought myself, but the Chinese version. I can't get google play, gmail and all the other great stuff that really makes an android phone properly useable. I am gutted.
I understand that all is not lost- I can wait two weeks and request a code from Huawei to unlock the bootloader, and from there root the phone and get it onto international firmware... right?
My problem is, after a weekend of looking into this obsessively I feel like I'm in WAAAY over my head. There are so many options for different firmwares, different ways to do it and, well, I'm massively confused.
I'm hoping some kind soul will make me feel less utterly stupid than I feel right now! I'm not wanting to do anything fancy, just change the ROM to make the phone function as if I'd bought it back home in Scotland. Is there an idiots guide to this? I am brand new to this kind of thing and terrified of making a useless lump out of my new phone.
One of the biggest issues with living abroad, I'm over 5000 kilometers from the people I'd usually go and beg for help when I've been a tech dunce.
Specs of the phone;
4 gig ram, 32 gig storage
Running android 7.0
EMUI version 5.0
Build number MHA-AL00C00B213
Thank you all in advance!
-Michael
If that's your only issue you should just get GMS you'll get Google apps.
If your looking to change your Rom and take a dive in this world. Read read read read.
If your just interested in getting it done fast. I would recommend funky Huawei (Google it)
You still need to root. If you don't want to wait for the bootlocker unlock code just get DC-Unlocker.
These are paid services. But they make life easier. If you want a easy step by step guide ask I'll try to make it.

Thank you for your reply! I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you, I managed to get the GMS core working and got so excited I forgot! Unfortunately the reason I've remembered is because I'm back on the forum looking for help again. Just about to post a new thread!

Bought A Phone Off Ebay, How Can I TRULY WIPE The fUNK OUT Of IT?

** WRONG LOCATION**
posted to https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/bought-phone-off-ebay-how-truly-wipe-t3852632
Hello All,
trying to get my learn on.. heard about Nethunter and want to throw it on some mobile devices.
Read their page and they strongly recommended and stated the OnePlus One was their recommended device. So I purchased it on eBay and am raring to go but then life interfered.. Almost a year now has gone by since I purchased it.
Fast fwd to about 2 weeks ago.. Out of Nowhere the seller hit me up stating if everything was ok since the phone hasn't been used. I emailed him back thanking him for his concern and stated I was curious as to how he knew it hadn't been used? 2 Weeks and still no reply..
That got me thinking.. maybe this phone has been "COMPROMISED"
#1 How best to verify and confirm I have a clean phone, I have done nothing but sign it on to my WiFI here at home and used it for a total of less than 30mins to test that it worked...
#2 Anyone familiar with Nethunter and have a best practice guide on how to install on a device? Their webpage lists the following, " Our freely downloadable images come with easy to follow installation and setup instructions to get you up and running in no time at all." However I have downloaded several times the img's and these so-called "easy" instructions are now where to be found.. When I google I come across blogs with 50+ steps.. so I just wanna make sure I'm following something decent before I give it WHAT FOR!
please advise!

Pixel 3 dead

I don't think pixel 3 is ever going to get twrp. I don't believe anyone is working on it seriously. I don't think XDA is relevant anymore. Was once a place to learn and marvel over the ingenuity of members. No more. If you can afford a new phone, you can afford a new unlocked phone. So anyone who can't, make more money. Last post, last look at this wasted site.

My hope would be that comments like this, readers know that 'just because you read it on the internet, doesn't necessarily make it true'.
This is a very disgruntled person. Lineage for the p3 is very much alive, it has it's own recovery freely available also, and it's easy to add magisk to lineage. As for XDA not being 'relevant', that too is a matter of perspective. There's a great deal of easily accessible archived information here, much of it relevant today.
It's **always** about personal choices, always. I'm quite pleased with the p3 I got for 160, brand new, vzw and unlocked bootloader, now running latest version of lineage. While sure, there' s not a lot of new development going on for it... do u need it? I don't. Lineage will probably be available for it for some time to come, years? We'll see.
cheers, everything with a grain of salt.
