Using 2 SIMS and an SD card at the same time - Sony Xperia 5 II Questions & Answers

Hello
A stock Xperia 5 II can not use both at the same time, not with the glue trick and not with an adapter.
I would assume this is a software lock (A hardware lock would be more expensive)
Can someone confirm if it is a software lock, and if it is will the trick of changing the build prop line work
persist.radio.apm_sim_not_pwdn = 1
If it is that would be my reason to root.

How do I lock myself to 3???

Hi All,
I have found myself locked out of the 3 network as my phone suddenly will no longer connect after 10 days. 3 admits that they block people from using non-3 locked phones on their network and have advised me to fork out for a 3 handset...
I have unlocked my phone (Kaiser), flashed the ROM, etc. as per the tools here, with no problems. So, my question is this:
Can I lock the phone to the 3 UK network by setting the correct code in the KaiserUnlock program to make it work again? Does anyone know what the code is?
Help with this would be much appreciated!
Sounds to me like they screen imei numbers on their network, it is possible to change ur imei but it is illegal.
i could be wrong about this, i'm not familiar with '3' but we will not be discussing the topic of changing imei numbers. If i see anything about it i will close the thread and send some people's account on vacation.
I'm not interested in changing the IMEI for obvious reasons, but trying to find out if there's another way around it.
when the first time you buy your kaiser, does your 3 works?
if you are using custom ROM now, just try go back to original ROM,.
Or try your SIMCard to another phone, to check wheter its the simcard problem,.
i am waiting for your report,.
EDIT: Have you try THIS ?
Thanks for your response.
It is originally a Vodafone v1615 (KAIS 130), now just over a year old. I have unlocked it using KaiserUnlocker.
Everything on it was working absolutely fine (phone, web, skype etc.) for 10 days, both with an official ROM and the 15+ custom one's I have tested.
To find out if it was 3 blocking my phone I tested:
1. If my 3 SIM works fine in a genuine 3 phone.
2. If another 3 SIM would work in my phone.
That all works fine, so, it must be 3 blocking my phone on their network.
I have reverted back to an official ROM as well as SPL, but still no joy....

Complain to 3 customer service?
I think (although I may be wrong) that your contract with 3 doesn't forbid you from using the SIM card in another device, so they have no right to block that device/SIM combination.
I have already spent the best part of an hour discussing this with their "customer service" department, but they are relentless. They say that their SIMs are only guaranteed to work on phones supplied by 3.
if you get desperate you may try the "hardware" unlock sim card. They are an actual sim card that you put in your phone.
Thanks for your suggestion! I didn't even know they existed......

[Q] Nexus S does not recognize SIM card

HI
i have recently bought a nexus S online, which i believe to be a recond set.. running on 4.0.4
the problem is when i put in my SIM card and switched the phone on, the phone does not recognize the SIM card at all (there's no problem with the SIM card, was/is working perfectly in another phone)
so i tried flashing different sorts of factory image for nexus S, including the SOJU, SOJUA and the SOJUK.. but with all the images i'm still unable to get the phone to recognize the sim..
is it a problem with wrong firmware/radio version? or is it to do with a faulty SIM board?
also, if it IS due to a faulty SIM board, how would you rate the difficulty of replacing it? for a non-experienced pair of hands.. i saw the instructions on ifixit, looks do-able..
Please advice.. thanks

I have the same problem
well.. in the end i solved my problem by replacing the SIM board. works like a charm afterwards. nothing to do with radio or other stuff. =)

[Q] Best total SIM card cloner

Hey guys,
I have two phones that I run. My primary is an AT&T Note 4 that isn't compatible with my Appradio 2 that's currently installed in my car. Even if rooted, the phone is not compatible with the phone and can't create the virtual environment required to run the touch controls on the screen. My second phone is an AT&T Galaxy S3. The S3 is fully rooted and does exactly what I need it to while connected to the radio. The problem is that in order to get internet and phone to work properly, I either have to swap the SIM every time I want to go somewhere, or I can tether the S3 to my Note 4 and while it works great for internet in the car, I'm unable to access any of the phone functions.
I would like to clone the SIM card I use in my Note 4 and use it in the S3, so when I'm driving, I can just shut my Note 4 off and let the S3 take over. I've been looking for a good cloner for a while, but everything I find gets mixed review. I came here hoping that someone might be able to point me in the right direction of a cloner that will make an exact duplicate of my existing SIM, so I can do what I described above. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SIM 2 shows "No SIM Card" message on my Galaxy Note 10 although SIM is there and was tested working in the past.

Hi there, I am now facing the issue with SIM 2 not being recognized by my Galaxy Note 10. The SIM is fine as it works if I put it into SIM 1 slot, slot 2 does not seem to react at all. I've tested it working in the past with the same SIM card, just did not need to use it until now.
Question - is it possible that an upgrade from Android 10 (which I think was the OS at the time I tested the SIM 2) to Android 11 might have broken it, so could it be a software related issue, and not necessary a hardware fault? I pretty much haven't touched the SIM tray that much at all from the day I own the phone.
Thanks, please share your thoughts, much appreciated as I'm looking for a solution!
Facing Same Exact issue.. u figure out wat happened.. or just get new phone with proper 2 sim card capability
