The Google Files default sort seems to be "alphabetical" . Is there anyway I can change the default to "newest".
I've looked into settings but there doesn't appear to be anything there.

Select the menu icon in the top right corner, then select "sort by".

Yes. But only works once on my phone, Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite. Newest then doesn't then stay selected as the ongoing default for the next time after the phone has been switched off.

Same here. Only works 1 time. Upon re entry, I have to re sort.
This is true for ANY phone I've had, my current phones, Pixel 4 and S21U.
Any updates on this? Everytime I want to find an image to post, I always have to go to the sort by tab. Very time consuming, especially with small image thumbnails making it easy to post the wrong image. If I wanted to post an image here (or anywhere) it will take me 3 or 4 clicks to find it!

Above is a screencap from the manual, but I am only able to perform video calling thru option number 1, options number 2, 3 and 4 are not available, does anyone else have the same issue?
All four options work here (I'm still using the original ROM though)

thks.. I'm on original ROM as well.. but could be some program I've installed.. SPB Mobile Shell or SPB Phone Suite?! hmmm..
Hello,
I had a problem with the first option you specify, i did not have the icon of making video call.
I installed several software, for my opinion what have disabled me the option is the dialer i installed (don't remember which) but it was the dialer.
Nothing helped & uninstall wont fix it.
HARD SPL helped....
Hope it helps...
Tamir
thks guys.. think I might have found the problem.. it was because I changed the default font from Tahoma to Segoe UI, therefore because of the font size difference, part of the context menu was hidden from view.
How did I found out? The hard way.. I performed a hard reset n install all my apps back, but the options were all there, the only thing I did not do.. was to change my font..
Hey guys, whilst I realise this was probably a n00b mistake with some setting I probably inadvertently changed, but this morning my icons have disappeared at the top right:

This is from my Today screen. If I go into another application and click where the icons should be then they appear, and if I go back to the today screen, they are there, but as soon as I click the start button, they disappear again. If I click where the icon should be, then whatever should happen normally happens (if I were to click the sound icon, the volume would appear).
As you can imagine, this will get annoying, quickly! Any thoughts on what could be causing this? The only thing I've installed today is the Advanced Config tool.
Any help appreciated.
I had this same problem, but I think I figured it out.
I'm running wkTask / wkTaskLauncher. On the today screen there is a blank space where the 'ok' or 'x' would be when a program is open. press and hold in that blank space, and a menu will pop up. Go to Preferences -> General1. Check the 4th checkbox, "Hide task list when there are no tasks".
That got rid of my half icons.
I have the same problem on my asus P535. using wkTask too. but your solution does not work for me. no effect after checking that 4th option. no change after closing wkTask too.
it suddenly appeared after running scummVM.
any other idea?
thx

No, unfortunately even i can not see that option and thus cannot use the OCR function

I have the latest version of Drive (1.1.4.29)
EDIT: You dont need that option, all you can do is go to Options-->new-->Take a photo-->Click a photo-->then check the box "Convert to google doc" and it will convert automatically

Ahh thank you very much
I don't see it either...
I can't see the "Convert to google doc" checkbox either. As soon as I take a photo or select a photo from the gallery, upload begins immediately, no further options

Using Samsung Note 10.1
For those like myself who don't care for Verizon's "butchered" settings menu, press the 3 for menu in settings and select "view as simplified list".

Been doing this with every phone since lollipop. Just easier to find things in my opinion since Android's settings have looked that way since I can remember.
Samsung Cloud?
Is Samsung Cloud available or did Verizon remove that also, like they did with Note 7?

I actually really like settings the other way, and the unlocked rom and a fresh verizon rom install do not have the option. Any idea how I can put it back?
See not there
I too have no three dot button to change back to the normal settings. If anyone knows of a way to get it back I would love to hear it. For some stupid reason the unlocked firmware doesn't give you the option

This is what you have to enter to bring three dots back. As I can see it is carrier-dependent feature.
EDIT: I AM AN ASS - Changing the setting I talk about below simply somehow reverts the Poco theme to the standard theme. I am sorry.
EDIT 2: Maybe I'm not that big of an ass! It appears the bar icons are the ones from the classic theme, but everything else belongs to the Poco theme (and settings tell me the Poco theme is active). Interesting, Or maybe I'm just going crazy.
I'm not sure this is the right section to post this to. If it isn't, mods, you are of course free to move it to questions.
To the point: latest stable MIUI, Poco Launcher, I was toying with developer options (I will explain below) and my battery indicator changed to this...

...which I happen to think looks way better than the simple straight-corner rectangle I had before (that I've seen on ALL screenshots, videos, other images online pertaining the stock config).
How I did it is pretty simple: Developer options > Simulate display with a cutout > Select the second option (the one immediately below the default one), then select Simulate etc. again and go back to the default option ("None").
Beware though, it didn't happen the first time I followed these steps, but the second time it did.
Let me know what you think happened. Meanwhile...I dig it!
Do you know that you can customise miui theme lol
