No, unfortunately even i can not see that option and thus cannot use the OCR function
I dont have note but i have Galaxy S2 android version 4.0.3 [ i thought i should let you know]
I have the latest version of Drive (1.1.4.29)
EDIT: You dont need that option, all you can do is go to Options-->new-->Take a photo-->Click a photo-->then check the box "Convert to google doc" and it will convert automatically

I can't see the "Convert to google doc" checkbox either. As soon as I take a photo or select a photo from the gallery, upload begins immediately, no further options

i had it earlier today and deleted it by mistake, i found it on appbrain and tried to snyc it but it keeps coming up cant find it, iv looked on the market thru every weather and news app and no sign of it,
can anyone help me out, it was the best weather app plus i liked the animated side off it,

Search for that and you should get it.
If not, search for and install barcode scanner, if you don't have it already and then scan the image below with it and go to browser from the resulted options.

If you restart your device with search widget at the main home screen, you'll find a grey voice search icon which vanishes after a some time, so heres the tweak you can unlock this, install the app attached with the post and your done.

They dont 'hide' it, your phone just didnt come with it. the widget shows it when you restart it because it hasnt kicked into action yet, it just opened, and since it can support voice search it shows the icon, but when it kicks into action and realizes that the phone doesnt have voice search installed, it gets removed. when you install it, naturally it will appear for good.

because, x10 mini/x10 mini pro/x8 does not support synthesizer. I though that if I will install the data for the TTS it will support it, but Im out of luck, but on my x10 it was supported out of the box.
Can you upload the 2.1.1 version from the android market? Is this the one from there, that its shown to be working only on android 2.2 or higher?
Google Has Updated it's google search App, to enable okay google hotword from any screen, any app, form the lock screen and while charging- the screen is off-!
BUT not all of us has got this feature, And here is the trick!
Just type " Okay Google Everywhere " in the search app, and Wooha! it is there
To enable, go to google search settings, and tick the options!

Google has not enabled the feature for every account. The feature is rolling our per-account basis. If you want to make the options show up, try following the method on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799678
Unfortunately I don't have KitKat, and Google hasn't pushed this to my account.
There is an app OpenMic+ that basically allows the same thing, and it works pretty well so far.
One thing I did notice is that you have to turn on audio history if you want the option of allowing now everywhere to even pop up.

Not working here, shame.. I guess it's location-based as I have my phone set to English US and still nothing (I am from Croatia)

Can you by any chance update it to the One UI 2.0 edition?
the app is not patched, i'm from Argentina, installed fine and after try install modules it give error is not avaliable, better take out the chip, use any VPN and connect to USA, after that go to Configuration-Apps-Galaxy Store or Samsung Store and delete cache, now back and open Galaxy Store and search for Good Lock, install it + modules, configure your phone and after finished, go back the chip and use your phone, the process is done, is not necessary take out chip, now it will work fine, tested in my S8+ 5 minutes ago, hope this help to anyone, leave some caps of proof, if you check in the left corner VPN Hub running there.
The Google Files default sort seems to be "alphabetical" . Is there anyway I can change the default to "newest".
I've looked into settings but there doesn't appear to be anything there.

Yes. But only works once on my phone, Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite. Newest then doesn't then stay selected as the ongoing default for the next time after the phone has been switched off.

Same here. Only works 1 time. Upon re entry, I have to re sort.
This is true for ANY phone I've had, my current phones, Pixel 4 and S21U.
Any updates on this? Everytime I want to find an image to post, I always have to go to the sort by tab. Very time consuming, especially with small image thumbnails making it easy to post the wrong image. If I wanted to post an image here (or anywhere) it will take me 3 or 4 clicks to find it!
