hi all can anyone tell me can both air triggers work all the time.I can only get bottom or in landscape one on the right side.when i am in settings they both work.
You can't. Ask ASUS why not. Only the bottom trigger is used for squeeze action. A work around is to add the app(s) you want to use both triggers for as games in Game Genie and enable both triggers that way.
Can we name the thread something different so we don't have two identical threads about two different issues? (ie. air triggers gesture)

You can customize the squeeze action in Settings. This only applies to the "bottom" trigger. This is something that can be done when the screen is on or off (depending on configuration) and corresponds to an intent action.
You can customize the trigger functions in Armory Crate. Doing so requires you add the app to the Game Library. It isn't necessarily a game, but that is the section where apps that are connected to Armory Crate appear. The actions here correspond to onscreen controls (touch actions).

I think you're confusing the two sets of settings. The ones in Settings are only for the bottom half of the phone, as shown in the onscreen demonstration.

The settings in Armory Crate allow splitting the triggers, but this only applies inside the apps listed in Game Library.

Hello,
We have edited your thread title to avoid confusion with a previous one with same title.
Any questions you can PM me.

I love my nexus 5 but UIs that require me to touch the top left of the screen are hard to reach. Is there any way to apply a per app hack where the top bar can be stretched or maybe lowered? I appreciate I won't be using all of the screen but it will be worth it for a few specific instances e.g. gmail and hangouts.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying your problem is. Everything should be adjustable per your preferences by default. Maybe you can elaborate in more detail.
Had this issue with my Samsung note 2... One of the reasons I bought the nexus 5 is it fits my hands and my thumb can reach the entire screen. This doesn't answer your question but it was my solution to this problem.

Your picture actually did a great job of explaining what you meant to say. I understand now.
Silly question/statement, but do you know that pressing the "Back" arrow in most cases such as that should take your back to where you were. Most often, that specific option like you displayed, that you can't reach, can be activated the same way by hitting the back button.
There are however, plenty of apps and situations where you need to hit an option in the top left corner and the back button will NOT do this action. I have big hands and have gotten used to being able to tap something on any section of my screen.
You could try installing a mod/app to enable custom gestures in which you can swipe a gesture towards the right and set it to that function. (ex: gesture enabled when you swipe from the center of the right towards the middle, it activates a "back" option.
You can try installing "GMD Gesture Control" for this.
Just a suggestion?
Thanks for your reply! I didn't realise the back button could cater for some of these scenarios. I also didn't realise I could swipe from the left for a lot of these apps. This caters for most of the scenarios so I'm happy now, thanks!
Grabbing anywhere on the left edge of the screen and sliding right does the same as pressing the icon up high. Same goes go for play store.
good day.
This is a feature which has regressed since the days of CM7, when it was possible to move the status / notification bar to the bottom of the screen. (See attached image.)
This was ergonomically far superior. Try it yourself with your phone turned off -- the anatomy of the hand and range of motion of the thumb make it much easier to swipe up from the bottom, especially when the phone's held with one hand.
Is there any app or xposed module which allows this change on later ROMs? I've searched fruitlessly.
Thanks.

Very funny, but not helpful!
There used to be xposed modules like Phab7, but they only worked up untill kitkat. After that "tablet mode" has been removed from android code. To make such a module, a whole new statusbar and notification screen needs to be designed and coded. I guess there aren't enough people interested in this concept, or at least nobody thinks it's worth their time making such a module.
I wish I was able to make such a module, but sadly I am not.

Would be really nice to have bottom status bar since a lot of flagship phones are around 5.5" to 6+". Such a waste of time and energy having to swipe down from the top or having to go to the home screen to be able to do the gesture half way down the screen. Even though I set long-press home for the notifications shade, it's just not satisfying.
if anyone did managed to pull this off, please share. thank you
Simple app which will allow you to remap some hardware keys to run specific application or do system action.
Main features:
1. Can map long- and doubletaps on Menu, Home, Back buttons
2. Allow run any of installed applications as action
3. Have list of predefined system actions to do on tap: websearch, screen lock, last app switch, do nothing, quick settings etc.

Can you make a root version that allows all usage of keyevents available on the device and add a per app filter? Detect external hardware buttons like gamepads/controllers or headset buttons? The double click, long press timeout should be per button assigned instead of global system, would give more functionality. I understand I am nitpicking and should be grateful for this but they're a few applications that do the same thing as this one; Button Remapper and Button Remapper.
Getting no reaction at all on Xperia 6.0.1, yes Accessibility service enabled, in logcat (with Debug on) just says "accessibility service is on".
Thank you for sharing!
I'd like to know, if I set this app up with all my custom actions, then back it up with Titanium Backup. Then I go and restore in on a new ROM flash.
Will it automatically retain all my custom key mappings or will I have to set it up all over again?
If it does this, then it'll save me from having to re-setup my key mappings in every custom ROM flash I do.
I read about this thread on the XDA News page. :good:
Can you explain why you need to log keys? I get the other permissions, but that doesn't make sense.
Good idea, up
Great app! Now on tap doesn't work with it installed though
is there a possibility to assign torch to a long press ?

+1. This permission makes me quite uneasy.
I'm not intending to throw this guy/gal under the bus necessarily.. But I asked a question about permissions for key logging, and 2 days later somebody in Malaysia tried to access my FB account. Be warned.
Uninstalled.

WTF guys/gals stop it, the app does not even have INTERNET permissions!
How do you think it will send your keys actually?

Fun fact. If you have an app that logs my keys, you don't need the app to have internet permission. YOU have internet permissions. Simple fix from the developer. Answer the question. Why is key-logging necessary?
Can I use this to assign a button combo to take screenshots in presentation mode i.e. as a snapchat screenshot alert disabler? I want to be able to do it with "Power + Volume Up". Thanks in advance.
(update* seems this new update that came out a couple of days ago fixed the issue I am not able to resize my buttons I know it sounds like something small to complain about but trust me it comes in handy especially when you're playing Call of Duty that double partition comes in handy)
Okay so I have both Rog phone 5 versions. The Tencent and Global versions. Before I rooted the air triggers where it gives you the option to resize when you choose dual buttons, before rooting both devices I was able to resize the air trigger buttons when split in two. After root you cannot resize the air triggers does anybody know or maybe a wild guess as to what is causing this maybe some of you don't use the air triggers like that. I play Call of Duty mobile a lot I use the Dual partition buttons. After rooting I am no longer able to resize the Dual partition buttons

You may also want to try resetting data for Armory Crate to address the configuration issue. That is if the services didn't already solve it.

I'm kind of thinking it has to do with the rooting because it worked perfectly before rooting on both devices as soon as I root it I was not able to resize them but it's okay thanks you guys for the advice I guess I can just live with it it's not a big deal I appreciate you guys responding but nothing seems to be fixing it and it only happened after I rooted the device but it's all good
Is there a way to change the look of the keyboard. I prefer keys that have symbols available on a press and hold.
On my last phone, an LG G7, I was able to install the Google Keyboard that allowed this. Strange that on a Google branded Pixel phone I can't find this keyboard.
Hmm I don't know if this is possible with the stock keyboard (I'll let others confirm or deny). Might be better off using Swiftkey. I know that level of customization is easily accomplished with it, as I use it and have the same preference as you.
i went with smartkeyboard pro cos I'm a dinosaur and have to have a t9 keyboard. its quite old now but still works great.

The stock keyboard does have symbols on press and hold? Are you saying you don't want the symbols visible on the keyboard? I can't imagine that's a very popular feature seeing how I've used these keyboards for so many years and still have to look to see where symbols are from time to time - it's basically the only time I'm even looking at the keyboard - so I'm not surprised there isn't a setting for it.
I prefer to have the alternative symbols showing on the keyboard.
Right now, my stock keyboard DOES NOT have alternative symbols. If I hit and hold on a letter, it types out once, and offers me no optional characters.

I just figured it out!
There's an arrow at the top left of the keyboard. Click it, and another menu pops up with 3 dots. Click the 3 dots , and a Settings gear shows up. On those settings are all the various keyboards and options I've been looking for. Under Preferences I was able to add the numbers at the top of the board, and I was also able to enable "long press for symbols"
