Guys, I'm turning to you since support at fitbit's community couldn't handle the problem and only resorts to returning the device, which in my case couldn't be done because it's past the warranty period. It's a Charge 3, and it either stays at the smiley face icon, vibrating for a few times and then turning the screen off, but even after that it keeps vibrating erratically (sometimes a lot, sometimes it's just spaced). After trying the reset methods (8 seconds or 15 seconds), smiley face comes up again, but it either gets stuck like that, turning on the smiley face, and then off, or sometimes after a while I get the "001 error" screen with the bubbles that turn on one at a time.
I've tried depleting the battery, plugging in again and resetting with the 8 and 15 second methods, but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone know of a way to push a new (or old?) firmware to the device via pc? I've googled it but couldn't find anything.
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Hi guys,
When I get a message the phone vibrates 3 times, like normal. But sometimes randomly it vibrates 1 time and then unlimited vibration. Until I get it out of my pocket and press the powerbutton so the screen goes on again. When the screen is on again the phone resumes the 2 vibrates. Very strange. I had it on multiple roms with different radio's. I don't use TF3D but HTC Home Plugin VGA edition.
I've experienced the same issue you speak of with the stock ROM, and I haven't found a solution or cause yet either.
I think it was this what caused my phone to sometimes go out. Because the vibration consumed all the power.
Do you use Touch Flo?

That would be the angry bee. It is something that just happens. I've had it so bad that I have had to soft reset the phone. It only happens to me every great once in a while. However, I haven't run the stock rom since about 2 hours after buying the phone.
has happened to me twice now.
ive had the phone about 2 months.

I've had it happen to me a few times and had to soft reset it to make it stop. It doesn't happen too often, so I haven't been too worried about it.
I've had it happen when I launch an application just as it is starting to vibrate to signal a notification.
Do you guys also always have it as the second vibration? When it hangs it always is the second vibration at me. And when I press the screen again he makes 2 after it again.
I had a similar issue with the initial stock rom - my wife messaged me in the middle of a meeting and my phone would not STOP VIBRATING. Since it was on the desk, it buzzbuzzbuzzed really loud.
Now I'm on the Energy 3.0 rom and have not had an issue. Even with the updated leaked stock rom I didn't have the issue.
I discover that it only vibrates wrongly when I have the screen off. Pretty annoying though.
Don't we use some kind of stuff in common?
I use:
HTC Home VGA Edition for front end instead of manilla
HomeScreen++ for the handy shortcuts
I checked some things again, I am not 100% sure but I think it was HomeScreen++ that caused the problems here. The exact settings: at the Tools tab "Lock if Display is Off and vice versa, which didn't work anyway at the touch pro (did work on htc's I had before though), but I checked it off and now it still rings 3 times and no less or more. Hope this was it.
I do not use HomeScreen++ and it happens to me at least once a day, sometimes twice. Mine always seems to happen on the third vibrate, it will do the first two and then the third one just stays on. I press the power button for the screen to come back on and it stops.
I have it too sometimes.
EnergyRom 3.0
And you guys have something that auto lock the screen when you press the power off button? Or do you lock the screen before pressing the power button? Because here it seems to have something to do with the locking in combination of the standby mode (screen off)
Hi guys
I have this strange behavior going on in my Sentation.
Out of nowhere my phone started to have strange screen behavior... Didn't light up after pressing the power button (had to phone my self in order to get screen on).
The next thing was that suddenly the screen goes to maximum brightness or goes to minimum without any explanation (tried both auto brightness or manual).
After that I noticed that the screen went off when I was using it but when I pressed the left side of it it lighted up and off again... making me think of some kind of bad contact underneath. As I already had changed a broken touch screen for t3 times, and let the phone fall for several times I thought it had to do with some plug out of line...
I disassembled the phone completely and mounted up back again. The thing is that the phone started to freeze every 5 minutes (screen on but completely freezed. I have to pul out battery). Sometimes it freezes even in the recovery menu. I've tried several rom's with full wipe and not installing anything and its all the same.
Some times I still not that the screen goes off during the freeze but when I touch the left side it goes on again, but that doesn't change the freezed state even that I let down the phone for several minutes.
I disassemble the phone again, tried different back cover and different battery (one stock and other extra strength) I tried also all the suggestion related to the small pin in the back not connecting well with the back cover (adding an aluminium foil, pulling the pin out, etc..)
Nothing seams to resolve anything so I have clearly an hardware problem... but I don't know what to replace or where to look the damage!!!
Can anybody help me please?!
Update
I have an update on my problem:
I noticed that when I leave the phone on top of some kind of metal part and don't touch it it works all day without any problem but, as soon as I start to touch the phone, it freezes within minutes!
Could it be some kind of static electrical problem? How to resolve it?
I would apreciate any help
Thanks
I encountered my first problems with my Nexus 5, which i am very happy with, about 1-2 weeks ago. After about 11 months of happy, problem free use, without dropping it or anything else, it started misbehaving (about a month with Android L so far). It crashed and wouldn't start up farther than the 'android' screen most of the times. Rarely it would fully boot, but the seemed to go into the lock screen and crash after a max. time of about 1 Minute of normal use. After going through this a few times I checked some forums and found a solution suggesting to repeatitly press the lock screen button while it boots. This solution worked quite good, even though i had go through the process multiple time the following days.
Last thursday evening (today is saturday) though my phone crashed fully once more (just after checking and having an 80% charged battery) , but now the quick hits on the Power button did not work at all. Instead my phone wouldn't react at all. Neither pressing the volume rockers alone or together with the power button would work either. Having plugged in the Nexus though acheived it to at least reach a state which seems to be a more common problem. It has been discussed and solved for many (seemingly everyone) in another thread called '[Q] Nexus 5 constantly rebooting at 'Google' ' (Link to this at bottom). Long explanations and videos of the situation have been given here, depicting my exact situation along with two solutions:
1. Using magnets near the power button (to apparently loosen two magnets used when pressing the power button)
2. Two flick and quickly press the button (for some this had to be done many minutes)
After seeing many (surprisingly) positive reactions to both methods, I tried them myself. I began with the magnet method and without having it connected to a charger it would boot to the google screen twice (note: As said, without a charger nothing happened). First once about as long as when connected to power and once very briefly. This method didn't prevail more than once and i couldn't start it up any diffrently than before.
So next I tried the flicking method and (maybe because of the magnets) it booted al the way to the 4 colored dots flying around. I let go and it crashed once more. I fooled around with the magnets again and tried the flicking method again, without stopping, as other users mentioned a long time needed (15-30 Min.) and after about 20 Minutes I stopped. My Nexus did not crash, but it is now 'stuck' at the colored Dots. I have tried connecting it to a power outlet, my PC and again started pressing the power button and volume rockers, without effect. It has been so for about an hour if not more. I will try to drain the battery and then continue, but if any other solutions are known Please help, thank you!

Update
After having drained the battery completely and then charging it again, the normal 'charging battery' icon popped up. Trying to start the phone, however resulted in getting into the flying dots loop again... I am able to go into fastboot mode, but neither start or Power Off help the situation. Should I go into recovery mode? I would strongly dislike losing all my data....
(Update)
I tried going into recovery mode, but the only thing that happened was that a little android figure, lying down with a red exclamation mark showed up (which should be normal as I recall going into recovery mode before my problems), and a text saying 'no command' above it. What now? I'm all out of ideas and back up plans, except calling google as it should still be under my warranty. But I don't want to give up my data as I haven't saved anything and I don't want to give up my phone either.
The first day allready 2 times black screen out of no where and afther that no reaction on any buttons.
The first time i waited 10 min or more then the S7 reacted normal again.
The second time i pushed the buttons....
The only reaction is when i press the same time: powerbutton, homebutton & volume button down.
Has anyone the same problem?
I had that issue once with the home button. I had to schedule a reboot through the craptastical built in scheduler that is says it is supposed to optimize the device. Search for restart in the settings.
I have the same sort of problems. All in all the s7e seems very buggy to me. Random crashes (especially in oculus app), sd card is sometimes not recognised and after most reboots I get two error messages (one about touchwiz and one about system proc). I'm not sure what is going on.
My wife's is a black too. I had a similar issues with my s6 last year it was the brightness had been swiped to low in my pocket, I was able to barely see the screen in a dark room and turn it up. No such luck with her s7. Hope someone can offer an idea, I'm headed to Verizon later if I can't fix it myself.
S7 black screen
Verizon did a reset for my wife's S7 to fix it hold down volume down, right side button, and the button on the face of the phone together for 15 seconds. The phone came right back on with all apps and stuff intact. Hope this helps, they said this wasn't the first S7 to come back like this they think it's a software glitch.
Im having the same problem....
any one having dead galaxy s7 edge not broken

Try turning off the App Power saving mode!! This fixed the black screen problem on my phone.
I've got the same issue (sometimes 4 times in an hour, sometimes it doesn't happen for 2 days..!!).
I've tried fixing by doing a factory reset and turning app power saving mode off.
Unfortunately this did not fix the problem. Yesterday I got an unresponsive blackscreen again :crying:
Any ideas how to fix this problem?
This happened two days ago with my wife's S7 Edge. She was using it to text me about dinner plans after work, her screen shut off, and it wouldn't work for several hours. The thing was getting very hot. When she was home and charging the phone the screen started working again for a little while, but with several green stripes down the right edge snd aa flashing horizontal band of grey near the top overlaying the screen image. Then when I tried plugging it into my computer to use Samsung's Smart Switch to roll back from the update she had accepted while at work the screen died again. It has not come on since, not even the stripes, and blue or red LED lights once in a wwhile at random. I managed to use Smart Switch to wipe the phone's memory. Then the program took several hours to download something very slowly and install that - a whole new OS update? That completed, and now the charging LED works correctly and the green stripes and grey band are back, flashing rapidly when powering on. Otherwise no screen function. She is shopping for a new non-Samsung phone now. Ridiculous.
Hey everyone who reads this.
I'd like to start my topic with apologising if I post this in the wrong section.
So, I have a LG Spirit H440N LTE for about 3 years now, maybe a little less. I've always taken good care of it, both physically and in updates / security wise aswell.
My phone has been working flawlessly until the last 2 days. 2 days ago i was charging my phone, and when it vibrated (meaning its 100%) I pulled the cable off, and pressed the power button (power button locks - unlocks the screen) the screen didn't turn on. I was like "wow that's strange" but didn't care much, i just kept pressing the button every 5-6 seconds, nothing.
At that point I pulled the battery out, let it sit for a short time and then put it back, start the phone, I felt the vibration (meaning it's starting up) but no screen, so my first idea was that I need to get a new firmware and completely reinstall my phone, as it seems like it got bricked.. for no reason, by itself ? Strange thing but I accepted it and literally been googling for 9 hours now and I find more and more issues.
After I got LG FlashTool, drivers, and even 3 different firmwares, I wanted to start the phone in download mode to start upgrading, but even though I held down "volume up for 5 seconds and then put the usb cable in" nothing happened, no screen, my PC didn't recognise the phone either.
So I got a little bit mad and pulled the cable out from the phone, I wanted to remove the battery, but out of nowhere the phone suddenly started loading in, screen working completely fine, i could do whatever i want, so my first thing was to do a hard reset. After the hard reset I set up my usual stuff (important apps etc) and I locked the screen so my battery won't go down. Little did I know, I ****ed up again, because ever since that happened, I can't get my screen to work again. I tried everything I could but my PC still doesn't recognise the phone (even after a LOT of drivers being installed), charging the phone doesn't do anything. Regardless if I remove - put back the battery no screen, no screen in download - hard reset mode either, it's just completely black.
I'd like to have some sort of help, because I am just completely out of ideas, I really feel like a firmware change could fix the phone, but if the computer doesn't recognise it, I have no idea what to do.

You might be having hardware issues, such as a faulty power button. If you are the type of user that frequently presses the power button to lock/unlock the screen, this leads to excessive wear on the button components, this is why some users prefer to use the "tap to sleep" and "tap to wake" feature, to avoid wearing the power button out. On my LG, this feature is called "KnockOn", it's located in Accessibility settings.
