When I go 2 cbs full web site and try to click on video, I get a message saying that this video is being blocked bcuz I have an ad blocker or the video is no longer available. I went 2 my apps & uninstalled adfree & rebooted but still get same message. The app is showing up in tb still, but it is showing up as crossed out cuz I deleted my backups of the app there. Can someone please help that knows anything about adblockers cuz I have no idea what 2 do. Samsung advised me that I should probably master clear my phone, but that would b a pain in my azz.
You will need to down adfree again. Open it up and hit the "revert" button. That will restore your hosts. Then reboot and you will be fine. Even though you deleted the app, it still changed your host files. After you have reverted and rebooted, you can uninstall again.

Thanks jayharper...I did a restore of adfree from TB, then hit the revert button in the app & rebooted & CBS works like a charm! Now do I still have 2 uninstall adfree or can I leave it as is since my flash vids r working on CBS?

Phiremod ....- Video, Netflix, Facebook
Running Phiremod 7 Test 2. Constantly getting "android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly." It interrupts my typing. Comes up every 5 seconds! Also, Facebook, Netflix not working. Plus, video on CBS won't play and says "Video is unavailable or is being blocked by an ad blocker on the browser.' Could REALLY use some help!

Running "fix permissions" from recovery could take care of your force close problem.

Thanks, I had already run Fix Permissions and rebooted. The android.process.media error does seem to have stopped. Any ideas about Facebook or Netflix not operating and force-closing? Thanks again for the reply.

I would "clear data" of both applications (via manage applications), reboot to recovery, wipe cache partition and dalvik cache, then reboot (it will take a while to boot).

Thanks again, but now again android.process.media is popping up every 5 seconds. The 5 icons at the bottom are now + signs. I found a way to change the icons and have them operate for various functions. I will attempt Fix Permissions again for the error popping up. And Netflix and Facebook still don't run. I just flashed to Phiremod 7 two days ago & haven't been able to get them to run. Re-downloaded them but no luck... : (

That's weird. Did you wipe data when flashing?
Sent from the most interesting device in the world.
I did indeed. So, I re-flashed and got the icons and functions back. Still no Facebook, Netflix, but now oddly, YouTube is working. : ) I'll leave well-enough alone. Would love to get online video running and especially Netflix. But thanks for the replies.

That would've been my next suggestion (re-flashing). I'm not sure about Netflix, but I'd expect Facebook to be working. Hm, idk. I've uninstalled mine because it was holding a wakelock longer than I'd prefer.

Hm, I replied to you but don't see the post. I did wipe data when flashing. It was part of the instructions. Anyway, I'll be happy with things as they are for now, but would really like to get video online running and especially Netflix. Thanks again for trying to help.

No problem. Maybe someone else will know how to completely work out your kinks.
Good luck.
Well, not quite, but saved me a lot of aggravation! I know most people know this, but I thought I'd share. I had serious issues with a certain app from the market. After a few attempts and a reboot all my apps and system services were FC'ing. I rebooted several times, and the same happened. I could do nothing.
I researched, and others said you need a factory reset, so I girded my loins and did the deed.
By great fortune I had only recently cleared a couple of GB on my external SD and backed up the entire system with Titanium Backup. I could then easily not only restore the apps, but all the data, relieving me from the need to reconfigure several dozen critical apps. I even had my bluetooth and wireless settings restored.
Cannot praise it enough, just coughed up for the pro version to back up using dropbox too. That way, if my Note should ever get purloined, I can buy another one and restore at will.

+1, I agree too..
titanium back up pro
Completely agree! Ever since I converted from Symbian to Android, I could not resist myself with the amount of "playing around" that is possible, and hence the need to wipe all your data.
Over the weekend I used the TB at least 5-6 times and every time it worked flawlessly.
Other uses include- Market application which is a sore point for many custom ROMS, I could solve the issue by just toggling it to user app, uninstalling, installing the newer version and making it a sys app again. As simple as that!

... and DroidWall. I feel naked without it!
TB was the first ever app i paid for. Pro version was not even avaible through android market for my country by that time so i had to donate to his paypal account. It is one of the essential apps on android and it is the biggest reason i root my phone even tho i prefer to use stock roms.
Hi everyone,
I had a headache yesterday with an app called Zombie tsunami, from time to time it started downloading directly from the Play store without even asking me, I had to clear Chrome data to get rid of it, maybe some javascript, that started this process automatically, clearing cache wasn't enough... I don't remember the website I browsed, but it really suck, I have a Nexus 4 on 4.4.2 Stock.
Did anyone else had a problem like that?
Is there a way to prevent this?

Uninstall the application! Or change "permissions" or use a "firewall" to block internet access.

So the two hate each other. I mean HATE. I can't use Package Disabler Pro to disable even a few bloat apps. Facebook, Instagram, Skype. If I use it for anything I get errors all over. Everything Google starts to crash. gapps, google play services, everything. I finally had to enable everything, reboot and my phone stopped crashing and randomly rebooting. Very sad to see PDP become useless. My battery life improved with all the bloat disabled.

reset your phone and do it again, I dont have a problem with it. I'm on 8.1.14

You disabled something that is deep in the system. Since ur testing u have to try 1 at a time over a few hours to see what is up.

No, I'm not rooted. Everything was going smooth until I got the new update to Google Play Services. I found that if you turned off the location services for your phone it would clear up but that only lasted maybe an hour before stuff started up again.

I spent several hours yesterday tinkering. Disabling minimal stuff like the social media apps, the ANT service, Milk player and other minor stuff. Every time it would start to crash and give me issues. I disabled the social media items the old fashion way and am not using PDP right now. I'll play with it more today. I really don't want/need many of that crap running as I have zero use for any of it. I will do the one by one and see what happens.

i think if u go in with root exploer if u was rooted u find facebook in 2-3 spots. whatsapp gave me issues. i gave up on debloating. i have seen a few debloated roms that the dev went in and manually removed and made things work. freeze apps is no longer as simple as it once was .
I'm using " Disable Application " from the play store... I'm rooted, and it works great. I prefer PDP, but it doesn't work on my rooted rom.

If I root, its when its been confirmed that Samsung Pay will work with one of those new root cloaking apps (one is an xposed module) works for it. If it does, I'll be back on root in no time.
My issue may be my phone. I couldn't get it to respond for anything, error messages that wouldn't go away long enough to type a letter. I factory reset and the error codes kept coming. Its going to be replaced.

There are a few supporting apps, but I don't know them off the top of my head. The ones I was able to find (in lists of bloatware, ironically) are:
com.sec.android.app.shealth
com.sec.android.sdk.health
com.sec.android.service.health
And just to put it out there in case it should matter, there is no such thing as system cache in modern Android. Just in case that is suggested at some point.
i just check the list and none of those 3 are delated/disable this is so frustrating.
What apps did you disable
i use an app i found here on XDA called ADB-AppControl under the Disabled section the only samsung stuff i have listed is S-Launcher-Link Sharing-Samsung Internet-Samsung Members-Samsung Notes. none that would make S-Health not to work. under the Deleted tab i have a few stuff so i will post photos.
So you killed off all the Knox stuff? That may have done it. Samsung Health is one of those "not if rooted or unlocked" apps. That may be breaking their detection code.

I would try uninstalling, rebooting, and installing after that just to be sure. It's only a guess, but I know Samsung Health is like the banking apps.

Sadly still not working been 31 days since I got the phone and haven't been able to figure out the cause. Funny thing is that health app works on my watch classic 4 it tracks pretty much everything but if I want to see more information or just open the app on my phone that's when I can't access it.

I know this is an old topic, but I found the answer and thought I would try to help...
@Zirox,
The debloat that you did on your phone disabled a needed app/service for Samsung Health to login. The item in question is called:
KLMS Agent (com.samsung.klmsagent) - it's on your 4th screenshot
If that has been disabled, it needs to be re-enabled for Samsung Health to work, otherwise you'll end up getting various errors and it won't get past the first screens.
I had the issue where SH would not get past the first screen, and just kept looping. I tried clearing caches (phone and app), reinstalling, installing old versions, etc, but none of that worked. I checked my brothers' Samsung phone, and his worked fine, so I knew it wasn't a SH server issue. I then went into my debloater app, and tried enabling various packages that I had disabled as part of debloating, and after trying a few items, I came across the KLMS Agent app/service, and finally SH got past the first screen and into the app. Once you re-enable that app/service, SH should work.
Hope this helps you out!

KLMS Agent is like Google Play Services, but for Knox. I guess because it didn't say "Knox" in the name, it was missed. It's basically THE Knox app, though.
