What's a good stable ROM? - Moto G 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
I just picked up this phone as a backup after reading that ROM development is quite active.
I am wondering what is a good stable ROM to flash?
Thanks.

Hey, just wondering if you ened up finding something stable? I have the 8GB storage 1GB Ram version of the moto g3, and i'm looking for a stable rom, to use it as a game phone / music / camera for my kids. I tried crDroidAndroid-10.0-20201217-osprey-v6.13 but it's super slow.
Any suggestions would be great

Use the lineage official 17.1 version, its works without any problem. Maybe there's a major consume a battery then the stock image, but the stock is android 6, this is 10.

Best Moto G 4G/LTE 6.0 rom?

having freezing and data loss problems with saber rom and that rom isn't being worked on anymore, so i thought i might as well make the jump to 6.0
which rom is the most stable? (all hardware components working etc)
which rom will be most active? (aka best support-wise, I dont want to start using a rom then for the dev to suddenly pull the plug)
seems like official CM would be the best choice? but from what i've been reading, it's not the most stable.
wondering on other's thoughts who are using whatever 6.0 rom, and why
Official CM is rock stable for me, no problems.

[Completed] In search of a good stable rom.

I tried rr mm and its not stable.
I have Xperia ZR
It was charging slow.
OS was laggy and slow.
Gave me 1.9gb internal out of 4.64gb.
It no option to move apps to sd card like sony stock 5.1.1
I need a good rom thats fast stable and supports apps to sd
I know Cm13 but that too is still nightly.
Any tested suggestion please
5.1.1 will do but i prefer 6.0.1.
And it shouldn't have any bugs.
Help me sorry for being a noob.

Pratik,
The developers here build these roms in their spare time. Our job as users is to test these roms and give them feedback and bug reports so they can improve them. They are not here just so people can shop around and take without giving back. Some work is needed on your part to test features, report problems and try to troubleshoot some issues yourself. You'll find that most issues you have with roms can be resolved if you take the time to do that. If that sort of thing doesn't interest you then you'll forever have problems with custom roms and you'll never gain the knowledge and experience needed to make them work for you.
I recommend you try some different roms until you find one you like. Every rom has bugs, even the ones that claim to be stable. It's the price we pay for using cutting edge software.

What is the best stable English based ROM closest to stock?

Hey guys,
My friend got a Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus from his girlfriend, but he doesn't understand chinese at all, and there's a lot of apps he can't use because of that, as well as not being able to access our regular Play Store. I was looking for a stock version but couldn't find one, and Lineage doesn't seem stable enough to install at this point.
Does anyone know what is the most stable ROM that most closely resembles stock Android for the "natrium"? Or do you think LineageOS is stable enough to be used as a daily driver?

Install the lastest rom from Xiaomi EU. I recently switched from Lineage OS to MIUI 9 Beta. All roms from Xiaomi EU are in english without chinese apps and other stuff. Works great.

Also, do not forget to install Google Camera with HDR+ APK for better photos from the rear camera.

Recommended ROM

Hey, I've just found this device (the LTE variant) under ton of dust in the wardrobe and would like to revive it as my back-up phone. What custom ROM would you recommend for this unit? Does installing nougat make sense, or is 1 GB or ram too little? What would be, in your opinion, the most stable rom that is not touchwiz based? Thank you in advance for all the replies, I've never owned this phone, so I have no idea
In my case, I have nougat (with lineageos 14.1) and it works just perfect for me. I reccomend you to try, if you finally don't like the ROM you can always change, for example, to an Android 5.1 based ROM.

ordered Samsung s7 Exynos version[SHALL I INSTALL CUSTOM ROM]

Hello,
I got a real good deal on the samsung s7 so i took it.
My question to you is, shall is stick to stock os or install a custom rom?
the reason i ask this is cause i was using a redmi note 4 and the custom firmware is kinda buggy, i need to reboot once a while. its running on 8.1.
it has LTE issues, Keyboard issues, apps crash randomly, slows down once a while.
Also, if i root it and install 8.1 on my samsung will the camera quality go down? i have heard this is true? can someone please correct me.
Honestly i want a stable experiance with a good camera, thats all.
Please advice.
Stable & Full camera quality, stick to stock
You need a TouchWiz ROM with stock camera app to get 100% camera quality
Custom ROMs are much more likely to be unstable than stock, but I haven't tried any

I've run a variety of Custom AOSP / AOKP Roms on my S7 - Nougat and Oreo 8.1 - After the latest Samsung Firmware update - I figured that I'd run Stock Rooted for a while - Stock is Definitely more stable than any of the AOSP /AOKP Custom Roms and the Camera is one thing that is constantly being complained about on AOSP / AOKP Roms.... That being said - If you like the idea of Running a Custom Rom & are prepared for some bugs - They can certainly be used as a Daily Driver ??

Hey thanks for the reply guys!
i thought maybe since the device is old someone might have ported a stock quality like camera.
its easy for me to say i guess! im sure its tough. well, i guess i'll install the pixel rootless launcher and keep using this beast! im not much of a heavy user its just whatsapp and instagram chats mostly.
though i'll miss android 8.1. but stability is worth it!
i was thinking how about i install a 8.1 rom+ google camera[ is it stable and better than stock now?]
