Hi. I have a quick question:
i have heard and read that updating from 12.0.7.0 to 12.0.9.0 would not be appropriate for the phone and maybe some bugs will appear and making troubles. is that true? because i can see 12.0.9.0 is Stable version, so i can not imagine that. i do appreciate if you share your experience and ideas. Thanks

Don't get me wrong, I am highly appericate the individuals who spent their time to cook these new ROMs for our Prophet to improve its functions while HTC wouldn't do anything about it.
However, I don't think I am the only one who has problem, trying to figure out which of the many ROMs flowing around is the FAST and STABLE one. I use my PPC a lot to do business emails, so I can't install and hard reset over and over again to figure out the most suitable one.
Can we please join and vote which ROM is FAST and yet STABLE so far?
Thanks
IMHO
2.3.1 LsvW Stable
3.3 b1 Jesterz Fast
2.3.1 stable and fast, using it currently
Jesterz 3.3 very fast, but know issues listed,
For stability i would use 2.3.1
JD
i m using 2.3.1 LsvW , fast and stable
The more value of "2.3.1 LsvW" is that have the register optimized.
So you don't have to change the prophet registry.
G3 versus G4
I am trying to change the rom from Spanish but I ran accross this G3 vrs G4 and I am not sure which I have and how I find out. Can someone shed some light. I tried a search and no luck.

Thank you, I had already found the answer in wiki but lets not get offended by a harmless mistake.
I personally use 2.3.1 too, found it is quite stable and a bit faster then the old offical 2.1.5 rom from dopod.
I would like try the Jester rom "RUU-Prophet-AKU2.2-2.20-2.47.21-Jester-ri" but it has not the registry optimized.
Have someone try it with the registery optimized?
Maybe is better that the LsvW one...
Hello,
I've been trying to grab some background on ROM Wizard Love and so far I can't find any detailed information about it at all.
The Readme.doc that comes enclosed in it contains detailed instructions on how to install, but no information about the ROM itself.
I'd really like to know:
1. Who made this ROM?
2. What does it contain (I know it's specially suited to fix bad upgrade problems and so)
3. Is it WM5 or WM6?
4. Can I use it normally on a daily basis or is it just for fixing problems prior to intalling another ROM?
Any info appreciated

This is a WM5 Rom that was made a while back. It is a very stable base rom. you can install it and use it on a daily basis. When you upgrade to a newer version of WM5 or WM6, you always need a good base rom to build off of. This provides that base. That is why a lot of the developers suggest to downgrade to this rom before upgrading to their rom so as to avoid any problems that could be caused because of not having a good base rom. The link to the file is given below. Hope this helps and answers your questions. Also, searching around this site will give you a lot more information about the Wizard Love rom.

Hi,
I'm going to release a new rom based on stock rom very soon. However before I release I want to send it to a small group of beta testers to ensure it doesn't have problems.
I would prefer if you know how to use logcat and know how to send me a logcat file, as well as knowing how to make nandroid backups (and restoring them where necessary ). It would also help if you can follow instructions
If you're interested, please do PM me. Include your phone model (P920 or P925) so I can keep track of phone-specific problems.
As for the feature request bit, comment on what features you would like. I will try not to deviate from the stock rom (v21D in this case) by too much, so I won't do any theming. Don't ask me to solve GC issues, I can't do that. Neither can I make ICS for us. I'm not a kernel hacker either. However, any reasonable feature request should be posted here and I'll see what I can do. Don't bet on every suggestion being included though
Good!!! i am anticipating to see your work!!! btw, i really need a function to tweak the cpu voltage to save battery as i find the battery really drain very fast!!! This is my suggestion, thankyou

I can't do that, it's kernel related and I have no experience with it. Maybe when I have time I'll try to learn.

Hi,
2 things desperately needed --
Internet Pass Through (like HTC devices so that the PC internet can be used on the O3D)
USB on the go
would love to see that in your ROM --

Hi, since I cant post on the development board (not enough posts) I´ll ask here.
I have a P6810 with official Android 4.0.4 and wonder if the KitKat roms available (Slim, CM, Omni) are stable and noticeably better than official 4.0.4? If so, which one is more mature/stable/recommended? Thanks a lot

All 3 have some nice features and have come a long way. Suggest you read the posts for each ROM and experiment with each to pick the one you like best. All of them are excellent to use as a daily ROM. If you have the room for backups you can do a backup on each as you set them up and switch as periodic releases are provided by Daniel. The releases (improvements) have been happening about every two weeks and it is amazing how the developer keeps them all current as possible.
Users have worked to keep the community up to date on potential issues and observations and reading the posts should answer many of your questions. :fingers-crossed: Best of luck and i hope you enjoy the ROMs as it seems that the developer does a wonderful job with each of them.
Thanks ColBill

No problem. Daniel released another version of the ROM (Carbon) yesterday or today. I'm trying this new ROM tonight. The writeup looks good and based on Daniel's prior work this ROM will be exceptional as well. Looking forward to playing with it. How you enjoy trying and picking a ROM good luck.:good:
Hi there. I was looking for some information about this but all I could find was on other devices forums. So I want to know if any of you guys have tried and it worked.
I saw a video on how to install it and the OP said that there could be a lot of bugs on custom ROMs or nightlies so that's why I'm asking.
If you indeed have tried it:
Did it work at the first try?
Is it stable?
Thanks in advance.
