Converting Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro China Version to Global Version

Hi Everyone,
I bought the China version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro and I am wondering if it's possible to flash the Global or Indian ROM to it.
Can someone help me with Tutorial or point me in the right direction.

What you need to do is unlock bootloader and flash your phone in fastboot mode using MiFlash and an Global ROM.

I finally Unlocked my bootloader and flashed the Indian Version.
Everything works so well.

Hi can you please install DRM info from playstore and see if your indian ROM has Widevine L1 or L3??
Biggest question i have for now.

I checked, it's L3.
What is the use?

Thanks, its used to certify Netflix DRM and if you have L3, it means you cannot play HD 720p or 1080p videos in the official Netflix app.
of course patched netflix exist in XDA that allow for 1080p streaming. Its just that if the phone was original indian version it would have Widevine L1 certification.
I think relocking the bootloader may bring the certification to L1, Ill try that when i get my RN7 pro )

Don't do it.
AFAIK,
Locked BL should be only done with the original Rom, China or Global, otherwise your phone will brick.

Hi, can you please check if your indian rom has Play protection certification? it is in play store>settings>scroll down to see the status, should say device is certified

Does Indian ROM give chinese RN7 Pro Widevine L1?

I am buying a china RN 7 pro but the china rom have no playstore and Widevine L3,
I know you can flash indian rom on it but im confused as to will flasihng Indian automatically give widevine L1?
anyone with a phone like that can please install DRM info and check? thanks

I have the Indian variant (phone and MIUI) and it supports L1, I have attached the DRM Info screenshot below.

Locked or unlocked bootloader?
I bought my phone in China ROM and it's widevine L3. Flashed Global ROM (India) but still L3. Does locking bootloader will change it to L1? Or installing magisk to pass safety net?

Unlocked. No,locking the bootloader doesn't change it,
Magisk has an option to pass Safety Net once installed.
Maybe the Chinese Variants only Support L3.

So only redmi note 7 pro from India supports widevice L1? That's unfortunate.
But I watched technology jock mentioned that RN7P only has L3 out of the box.
But I hope Xiaomi will be able to amend this in the future.

Maybe whoever you watched was using the Chinese Variant, but chill mate, Widewine is software based and certification from Widewine will get Xiaomi L1 if they want, so if enough requests are raised this could probably be fixed via an update.

Hello,
I was thinking of installing the global indonesia miui 13 stock rom on my Xiaomi 11T, non pro, and I have some questions.
1) Will i have acces to the italian language?
2) The Google Services will work, right?
3) Will I be able to relock bootloader and
have acces to Netflix?
5)Will OTA updates work if i flash via fastboot and relock bootloader?
4) Will NFC work?

Will this guide also work if I have a MTK chipset?
The Xiaomi 11T non pro has a Mediatek Dimensity 1200.

Question Xiaoxin pad plus (TB-J607F) Zui OTA updates

Hello guys,
I have recently installed a stock сhinese rom for this tablet and got stuck on version 12.6, the system app does not allow me to download updates because my bootloader is unlocked (locking the bootloader leads to the message "Your device is corrupt"). Can someone help me where I can download OTA updates for this tablet, I found them for the p11 and P11 pro, but not for the plus model. Or maybe someone just ordered a tablet from aliexpress and can share these updates, I would be very grateful.

You can, but you will stuck on version 12.6, no ota updates (

I bought my tablet from China. Originally, it is in China Rom, but they opened the box and installed global rob before shipping. Is it possible to get updates after converting back to China Rom?
And do you have the tutorial? I really need some features from China rom which is not present in the global rom. thank you!

By the way, I'm on Android 12. Global.

You can instal only chinese firmware with zui 12.6, thats why i originally created this post, because i have the same problem.

Mine is Lenovo P11 5G J607Z.

1. Unlock bootloader.
2. Change your region to 01.
3. Download zui firmware.
4. Flash it.

By the way. Have you tried using chinese vpn and tried updating your firmware? I read that some was able to update their ZUI by using vpn.

Zui firmware
You cant dowload ota updates after you unlock your bootloader, thats how it works both on global and zui firmwares.

Thank you so much. Maybe there's a solution to lock the bootloader.
