Lost stock camera icon - OnePlus 8T Questions & Answers

After rooting my 8T I lost (surely my fault) the stock camera's icon.
I still can use it by double clicking the power button (I found this option somewhere) but it would be nice to have the icon too.
PS I mainly use the GCam but nevertheless I'd like to find this damn icon
PPS sorry for my poor tech english

Is it in the "hidden space"? Go into the app drawer and then swipe right. Just an idea.

Thanks Good idea but no.
It's not there.
It exists because I can use it, but don't know where!

Because not sure how you did it, try "freeze" then "unfreeze" by using app like OandBackupX or TitaniumBackup. Or run camera once, call recent app, push and hold on camera, tap app info, disable camera and wipe data then enable.

If it still not show up, and you don't want to wipe/rebuild system. You can use some shortcut manager app crate a shotcut icon to call camera.

Thanks!
One of the two worked.
They called me on the phone and I went in auto-mode, so I can't tell which of the two!
Camera reappeared but with the name of "foto pano"!
BTW now I got the link.

Hello guys!
The Screen On application was a success and we thought it could be a great idea to expand the abilities of this application. We developed a new application called App Auto Settings, that works exactly as the Screen On application but let's you take control not only of the screen, but of WiFi, Bluetooth, Mobile Data, GPS and volume!
We have tested the app in as many devices as we could and it works fine, but please try it and report any bugs, suggestions or ideas, we cannot test it in all those mobile phones...

Thx for share.
Not seeing option for GPS on SGSII.

Edit: 20/11/2011
So is this a beta limitation? or a limitation of GB where programs can not call for GPS on without user request like Tasker?
well, that's my bad...
at first, we wanted to take control of the GPS, but unfortunately for security reasons (good in my opinion), Google decided that only the user will be able to enable and disable the GPS, so we removed it from the application.
The screenshot though is old, and I will replace it!
Thank you for noticing it!
OK, I'm confused. No offense, but it is not very intuitive. I just downloaded it, and I cannot tell the difference between Red and Green on the Screen Timeout in the On Charge profile, and either way I set it, the screen timed out! Also, on WiFi and such, what's the difference between Red, Green and the white box? I also don't see my Navigation app.

Where's Call Settings in ICS?

Not something I use very often but today my mate and I were comparing the Nexus on ICS to the Samsung Galaxy SII on Gingerbread, and we couldn't find Call Settings anywhere on the Nexus, to set up things like forwarding calls?
I'm running CM9 A18 and hes just got the stock Gingerbread. I remember Call Settings being there in Settings on my stock GB Nexus S, so where's it moved to now?
did you try pressing the menu button?

Maybe you're opening the People app. Call settings are in the Phone app. I think there were more options in the settings menu on gingerbread as opposed to in the phone app.
edit: nvm

Android 4.1.2 how to make multiwindow button away?

i use android 4.1.2 and use this button to add my own multiwindow apps
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36025159&postcount=39
it is useful but have this button :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
in some apps like facebook , this button will cover the “send” button
is possible to do this?
sorry for my bad english
If you added the multi-window feature by editing the feature.xml file in the CSC folder, then edit that file again and remove the facebook app from the list and reboot. The button should be gone then.
Would like to know it to.
Maybe a bit smaller or something?
I've flashed the multi app mod, working great but sometimes the icon is in a anoing spot.

i remove it and facebook cant multiwindow any more
That's right. Your choice is the button and multi-window or no button and no multi-window. No way to have the button elsewhere unless the app is re-designed by facebook or Samsung re-designs the multi-window framework. Can't see either one happening anytime soon. Sorry.
Also, the button does go away if you run the app in a window, that might help.
there used to be a mod to make the multi windows button smaller.
where is it?

[Q] Cataclysm ROM -> no lockscreen cam

Hello,
I have been running the cataclysm ROM for several weeks now. I like it, I must say. Really nice OS.
However, one think I can not figure out is how to get the camera sweep shortcut to the lockscreen.
In settings there is an option to turn it on or off, but it does not make a difference. I already tried to fiddle around with the widget settings etc.
Also I could not find a setting in the Camera app and I have tried some external apps for lockscreen management.
Re-flashing the rom (no wipe) also does not make a difference.
I am posting here since the ROM thread has been closed for 2 weeks now. Google and search could not help me.

Thanks, that helped!
Is it not possible to use the 'stock' shortcut at the right bottom?
There's no shortcut on bottom left, but if you swipe the screen from right to left like you do on home screen , you will get the camera..
Just assume that there is a shortcut icon in the bottom left and do it..

Question How to hide blank space in OneUI?

In all built-in apps of OneUI, almost the entire top half is blank to enable easy one-handed use. While the idea is good, the implementation could have been better. There should have been a setting to choose how user wants the default view to look like.
Unfortunately, no Goodlock module currently allows for changing this view yet.
Is there a way to hide the blank space in OneUI?
For example:
Current Default view
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Preferred Default view
Is there a way change the default view of built-in apps?
Maybe with root it would be possible but you would have to edit the settings apk etc.
I would love to remove it also such a waste of space.

Don't think that would work.
Is there a way to send feedback to the Goodlock team?

From within good lock app there's contact us link which takes to Samsung members app
I used GoodLock > RegiStar to hide the Samsung Account menu and there's no blank spot.
For me i like this feature to use the device in one hand
