Hi everybody
I connect a bluetooth headset and turn on the music, it plays on the speakerphone but not on the headset, is there a way to fix it?
Pixel experience plus android 11 s6 edge
When playing music on Android 11, an option - on the status bar - shows with the audio output controller. It usually says "Speakers" when playing without headphones.
When using a headphone, and it is detected by the phone, try changing that option in case it's still on Speakers.
Otherwise, it is a ROM bug and you have to post it on the ROM OP.

For 7 +, I connected by bluetouth earphone(Nokia BH-208) to it. The music still in speakers, it doesn't go to the bluetouch earphone. The connection shows "Connected to phone audio", is this a problem?
Please try another headset and see if it still has issues.
I use it simultaneously with a bluetooth OBDII adapter and Torque app while also playing music to my bluetooth audio on my car with Spotify or Mortplayer. Everything works well this way and much better than on my original Galaxy Tab which would sometimes stutter the audio when multitasking.
Right here is my issue.
In my card I have a Parrot MKi9100 bluetooth device. It is running on the latest 2.2 firmeware and has had a factory reset.
My Nexus 5 is running stock 4.4.2
The two devices will pair but not fully. Incoming calls can be answered but thats about it.
- The Parrot is not syncing the phonebook.
- And most annoyingly audio streaming isn't working. Google Music thinks it is streaming, the bluetooth icon in the app is blue (on) and the phone isn't playing music from its speaker. BUT no sound is coming out of the car system. Also if I go to bluetooth audio on the Parrot the phone isn't showing. If I go to settings > paired devices my phones isn't showing. Despite the homescreen of the Parrot saying "Nexus 5"
I am utterly confused. Is there some compatibility issue with the bluetooth the phone uses?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I really want music in my car again
I never had this issue with my LG G3 with the same bluetooth speaker, a Bose Soundlink Mini, but my S6 when connected by bluetooth to the Bose will play music through it like normal. Then after a few minutes all of a sudden the music plays from the S6 speakers instead. The bluetooth icon in the notification tray still shows the "bluetooth connected" icon. I have to turn off and on bluetooth on my phone before it works again.
On my S6, when I am connected to the bluetooth device I have in my truck (Himbox HB01 Plus) that has apt-X, if I have both the Call Audio and Media Audio settings within the Bluetooth profile for that device enabled, the sound through the speakers is extremely poor, like a 32-64kbps stream even though using a 192kbps or higher mp3 and a native player. If I turn off the Call Audio setting, instantly the quality improves drastically to what I would expect it to be. I had a friend try with his Samsung Nexus device and he didn't have any such issue with the same bluetooth device. Prior to the Himbox, I had another bluetooth adapter w/o apt-X in the truck that acted the same which is what prompted me to try the Himbox thinking maybe the S6 needed this codec to stream properly. Unfortunately there was no change.
Does anybody have a similar problem or more importantly a fix? Is this a hardware issue with the phone or if I flash a custom ROM could this fix the problem as it has something to do with the Samsung programming? I didn't have any issues with my S4 and from what I gather researching online it is a S6 & S7 issue. Any suggestions are appreciated!
I am on Android 13 (F16) on my OP9. Is there a way to play notification sounds through the phone speaker when connected to bluetooth headphones?
This is a perrenial problem that crops up on every release since people get mad when they miss notifications when they have bluetooth headphones connected but not in their ears. There was a solution for this in Android 11 but I don't know about 13.
