Bluetooth Speaker Connected by bluetooth but music plays through the speakers on S6 - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I never had this issue with my LG G3 with the same bluetooth speaker, a Bose Soundlink Mini, but my S6 when connected by bluetooth to the Bose will play music through it like normal. Then after a few minutes all of a sudden the music plays from the S6 speakers instead. The bluetooth icon in the notification tray still shows the "bluetooth connected" icon. I have to turn off and on bluetooth on my phone before it works again.

How did this happen (and how can I make it happen again)?

Yesterday morning i got my Tilt (Hyperdragon III ROM) off the charger and noticed that the bluetooth icon on the start bar was different. It had a headphone icon around it, instead of the headphone icon with a music note inside it. (I looked for pictures on the intertubes, but couldnt find an example).
Anyway, I'd seen the icon before, but only when I had a meeting reminder going off or if I accidentally activated voice tags. I thought it was odd, so I put my Plantronics 220 headset on and tried to play some music just to see what would happen.
For an hour, I was able to listen to music through my headset! When I got into my car to go to work, the icon went back to a normal bluetooth icon and my music switched to the phone's speaker. I think the reason it did that is because the phone automatically connected to the BT Speakerphone in my car. I've not been able to listen to music through my headset since.
I've tried and tried to make this happen again, and the only thing I can do is get 3-4 seconds of audio through the headset if I activate voice tags. I've read about a third party app that toggles audio output between the headset and the speaker, but I didnt have any interaction with any app when this happened yesterday.
Any idea how I was able to do that?
could be it hands-set vs. wireless stereo bluetooth connection ?
That's how mine delineates between the two...
No. If I go into the properties for my headset, the only profile is "Hands Free"

Bluetooth not work

For 7 +, I connected by bluetouth earphone(Nokia BH-208) to it. The music still in speakers, it doesn't go to the bluetouch earphone. The connection shows "Connected to phone audio", is this a problem?
Please try another headset and see if it still has issues.
I use it simultaneously with a bluetooth OBDII adapter and Torque app while also playing music to my bluetooth audio on my car with Spotify or Mortplayer. Everything works well this way and much better than on my original Galaxy Tab which would sometimes stutter the audio when multitasking.

[Q] [Help] USB Bluetooth connection

I know this is not the best setup, but I have a 3.5mm aux input on my car stereo. I have purchased a usb powered Bluetooth dongle with a 3.5mm audio output. I have paired my phone with the Bluetooth and it connects fine. I can now stream pandora, or any other music app through my car stereo. However, I have two problems that I need help with :
1) audio from streamed music only plays through the front and back speakers on the passenger side.
2) when making a phone call, the audible touch tones play through the car speakers, but once the call rings/connects the audio plays through the phone's earpiece and not the car speakers.
I have no clue as to why everything else plays through the car stereo except for phone calls. Any help is appreciated.

Route phone audio through bluetooth while something plugged in to the headset jack?

So here goes. Currently i have my Verizon S3 with Carbon ROM android 4.3. While i'm in my car, I connect the headset jack to my stereo for music and bluetooth for phone calls. (no audio streaming over bluetooth with my stereo)
With CM 10.2 based ROM's this isn't an issue, music plays through the headset jack and when i receive a phone call bluetooth takes over, no problems. (Music pauses, stereo switches to bluetooth, I answer the call etc. Finish with the call, hang up, stereo switches back to auxiliary and music resumes)
With touchwiz, if i get a phone call, the call is routed through the headphone jack instead of bluetooth. The only way to fix this is to unplug the headset jack. As you can imagine, this is a huge inconvenience while driving.
I would like to go back to touchwiz for a while but this is a deal breaker.
Thanks for any advice guys.

Bluetooth and Auxiliary Audio at the same time?

Ok, so on my other phones I could have my Bluetooth connected, be playing music through an auxiliary cable to my truck speakers, when I get a call, switch audio to my Bluetooth.
On my S5, it doesn't give me the option to switch, the audio just stays on the truck speakers.
Is there any way to change this to have it play music through speakers, but phone calls through Bluetooth?
