[Q] App with root privileges and monitoring of applications

Hey guys,
firstly I've read the rules and I believe here is the right place to ask that, but if not, please correct me as I'm a new user of the forum.
Well, I'm doing a research related with privacy in Android. I need build an application that can monitoring when another application
send sms in background for example. So I'm trying analyse the possibilities to do that using a application with root privileges or if in
last case, take a ROM and modify it.
My question is: what a rooted application can if fact do? For example, can I have access to the process in executions and know
what they are doing?
And another thing is, I'm starting search about the using of critical data for applications, like location data. As I'm starting, someone can
please guide do in how to know when a application require this kind of critical data? In the level of what should I search for or some link
related with that?
Thank you for now
Pablo

[Q] App for android/iOS, for my business

Hello everyone. I have a quick question...
I currently own and operate a valet parking company and I am looking to have an app created that will give our guests the ability to either scan, using QR scanner, or send a text to a dedicated device so that we can have their vehicle up front and ready for them, 15-20 minutes before they walk out the door.
That is the basics of it, and I know there are other apps in the playstore which do this sort of operation, but I want to create my own.
So my question is, and I have done some research on it within XDA, but wanted to seek the guidance of someone who has done this sort of work. What are my best options for creating and getting this app developed, running, and installed within android and iOS?
Hopefully I am asking this in the correct forum location, if not, please advise me where to post.
Thank You very much!

You can post your requirement on freelancer dot com and set your price. many freelancers are available to do the work.
Once the app is developed, you can publish your app in google play.

Hmm ... network sniffing.
Maybe you want to have a look here:

There also many network monitor apps on Play store.
Not sure about the feature you are looking for, such as blocking selected android devices from accessing the wifi network.
You may have to use the admin console of the wifi router (or the app of the wifi router's manufacturer) to achieve this.
You can try to ask in the General discussion > Networking forum.
Thank you

Network traffic monitor

hi
i would like to monitor all the inbound traffic in and out of my phone.
does anyone have a tool I could use for this?
thanks
glasswire
Glaswire does not provide any details.
Is there an app which provides a log of any DNS/IP query at that level of logging?
Need to know what one of these apps is actually sending to who and what servers.
Have not been able to find anything which does not require root

Prior to Android 10, location permission is a single resource: apps only require permission once to use everywhere (foreground and background) and every time. But from Android 10, background location comes as an independent resource. Apps have to request explicitly this permission besides the foreground one.
For more details, check the official doc here.

Thank you James_Watson for explaining that to me! And notes good I read about it!
