Samsung Gear S2 SM-R720 Mods - Samsung Gear S2

Long story short, I deleted my Samsung account and was forced to remove my reactivation lock manually. This got me onto the idea of turning my watch into a backup storage for my KeePass DB, so far I have de bloated the firmware and installed an ssh server with working users and sftp. In the future I am planing to make a "disable reactivation lock on startup" so you dont have to flash the combination and a on the fly CSC changer to make samsung pay work, or to change the watch to your country. If anyone is interested in this and would like me to post my work please tell me, I may port it over to the gear s3 as well.

I'd be interested in this, especially for the "you dont have to flash the combination and a on the fly CSC changer to make samsung pay work, or to change the watch to your country"
The only thing I'd be curious on is the warranty/knox fuse. Would it avoid the "your device has been modified and can't access samsung pay" that I'm seeing in the related thread to change one's country setting?

Locating Gear Manager / Galaxy App Local Save Directories

Greetings fellow S2 aficionado's! I am new to owning an S2 & while a bit late to the party, I couldn't be happier with the watch. I originally purchased this watch for a specific Pip-boy style watch face that I'm having a bit of trouble getting my hands on. Which brings me to why I'm here. A friend of mine who also owns an S2 has the watch face installed to his S2 via Galaxy Apps & Gear Manager.

Does anyone know if & where the default directory is located for locally saved clock faces for Galaxy Apps or Gear Manager? If I can located it on his phone I'm hoping I can simply transfer the data to mine & push the face to my S2 with Gear Manager.
If anyone can offer an alternate method or advice I would greatly appreciate any insight provided. I've attached a screenshot from my phone of the error message & code I receive when attempting to load the watch face linked above for anyone who's interested.

I know there are several tools available which claim to ftp unlock different devices ... but ...

It's a security feature and there is a reason for it to be enabled.

Need help removing the Custom ROM FRP (SM-G930W8)

I need help removing the custom ROM FRP lock in my S7 but i don't know the CSC or what carrier it was originally form as i got it used, anyone who can help would be in my debt. i should note that the Smart Switch method doesn't work as it wont connect properly via USB.
I am open to any and all solutions and/or alternatives.
would it be easier to just send it in or buy a octoplus stick?
EDIT: I don't have anything important on it so I'm fine if i have to reformat or wipe the PIT
EDIT2: I think it may have been Bell but I'm not 100% sure

I'm not sure what do you mean, you mean:
You have a custom ROM that has a FRP Lock? if so, then you probably have TWRP, which makes it super easy to solve!
You have a stock ROM, but you tried to play with OS probes and ended up with an error regards uncertified modifications? Then it's also easy to solve, check the internet, there are guaranteed ways of passing FRP even on Binary 8 Firmware.
The 2nd methods works if you can actually boot into system*
You may check the recovery and the logs to find what Firmware is on your phone, and which CSC/PDA it has, and yes, the stock recovery has the ability to show you them.

Why does Samsung insist on connecting to wifi to download phone updates and...

Is there a way to bypass it? It's frustrating that I can't update my phone (S23Ultra). I don't have any wifi to connect to, I pay a premium for unlimited 5g so no worries of bandwidth limitations. I can download anything of any size, stream video all day, update all other apps, etc.. but why not the the phone's updates?
Also, is there any phone brand that I can buy/use in the USA that's a flagship like the S23 Ultra that won't block updating the phone over data?
Motorola does that too for OS upgrades. At least they allow security updates over mobile data.
So say "what-if" there was some security flaw that allowed hackers to gain access to your banking app and you get cleaned out and Samsung was the one who didn't allow you to update your phone to the latest updates by blocking the download over your data connection, would they be liable since they blocked you from updating your phone?
Wi-Fi connection is default with Android.
check the settings for updater I am pretty sure there is similar for samsung. maybe samsung user can tell you.
