Long story short, I deleted my Samsung account and was forced to remove my reactivation lock manually. This got me onto the idea of turning my watch into a backup storage for my KeePass DB, so far I have de bloated the firmware and installed an ssh server with working users and ftp. In the future I am planing to make a "disable reactivation lock on startup" and a on the fly CSC chnager to make samsung pay work, or to change the watch to your country. If anyone is interested in this and would like me to post my work please tell me, I may port it over to the gear s3 as well.

Update stuck at 15% - 2BQG4

I started the update to the new FW just released, but it stopped at 15% (copying update to watch step). The watch sat all night with no change.
I've restarted the watch, and killed the Gear app, but when I restart the app it is immediately shows that 15% point and stays there.
Any ideas appreciated.

1.
SM-R770 is Gear S3...
Gear S3 is more here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s3
2.
According to your Screenshot... and your text...
Maybe not enough space on Gear S3
to tranfer 14 MB + unpack + FOTA routine...
If Handset reboot not help...
Maybe reboot both... handset and Gear S3...
Gear Software seems for me background System Tool... it ever runs with your really start...
If this not help...
3.
If you have rooted handset...
You could try to delete downloaded 14 MB FOTA file and start from downloading...
For me it is easy to connect handset via cable... then I can see where update.zip is stored...
I could look, if you need correct location/folder/path...
Best Regards

Locating Gear Manager / Galaxy App Local Save Directories

Greetings fellow S2 aficionado's! I am new to owning an S2 & while a bit late to the party, I couldn't be happier with the watch. I originally purchased this watch for a specific Pip-boy style watch face that I'm having a bit of trouble getting my hands on. Which brings me to why I'm here. A friend of mine who also owns an S2 has the watch face installed to his S2 via Galaxy Apps & Gear Manager.
Link To Watch Face
Does anyone know if & where the default directory is located for locally saved clock faces for Galaxy Apps or Gear Manager? If I can located it on his phone I'm hoping I can simply transfer the data to mine & push the face to my S2 with Gear Manager.
If anyone can offer an alternate method or advice I would greatly appreciate any insight provided. I've attached a screenshot from my phone of the error message & code I receive when attempting to load the watch face linked above for anyone who's interested.

I know there are several tools available which claim to ftp unlock different devices ... but ...
See official frp information of Samsung:
Samsung Product Helps & Online Support | Samsung New Zealand
Explore useful information about your Mobile, TV & AV, Home Appliance and other Samsung products or apps/solutions with the Support page at Samsung New Zealand!
www.samsung.com
It's a security feature and there is a reason for it to be enabled.
Samsung also provided information what you can do to "unlock" your device

Samsung Gear S2 SM-R720 Mods

Long story short, I deleted my Samsung account and was forced to remove my reactivation lock manually. This got me onto the idea of turning my watch into a backup storage for my KeePass DB, so far I have de bloated the firmware and installed an ssh server with working users and sftp. In the future I am planing to make a "disable reactivation lock on startup" so you dont have to flash the combination and a on the fly CSC changer to make samsung pay work, or to change the watch to your country. If anyone is interested in this and would like me to post my work please tell me, I may port it over to the gear s3 as well.

I'd be interested in this, especially for the "you dont have to flash the combination and a on the fly CSC changer to make samsung pay work, or to change the watch to your country"
The only thing I'd be curious on is the warranty/knox fuse. Would it avoid the "your device has been modified and can't access samsung pay" that I'm seeing in the related thread to change one's country setting?

Tracker control log results on Samsung Galaxy J5

I just rooted a Samsoung Galaxy J5 (2016).
Then used the GNU/GPL Tracker Control latest version from here
TrackerControl | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository
TrackerControl allows to monitor and control hidden data collection in apps.
f-droid.org
(/!\ There is a fork around, that wants money to be able to see logs in the app. Take only this one above thats called "TC")
I made some basic debloating, getting rid of obvious google and vendor apps.
Set up the TC to get connection logs and then switched on the wifi.
Remember, I just switched on the wifi, did nothing else.
Some hours later I've got this connection logs.
Huge amount of unsollicited connections to all major big tech and others.
Have a look: (the vpn flag is normal as it works through a local proxy/vpn to catch connections)

For your information...
