Problems with sim card (no calls reception)and mobile data - Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Questions & Answers

Hello I have problem with my fold 2 with Egypt we sim card
I keep losses mobile data connection after receiving call or make calls
I must restart phone or wait for minutes to use mobile data again
Second problem
Many times my sim reception is full but I can't make call or receive call
I must restart to make calls working
Did factory reset
How to fix those problems?

Haven't had that issue on Orange or Vodafone on my F916B when I was in Egypt last month.

[Q] Dual standby issue

I recently faced (4G network not working, dual standby not working)
I was using LTE sim card on slot 1, normal 2G sim on solt 2 and both were working perfectly, just before 4 days I noticed that the LTE signal disappeared and even the network name went to (No Service), then I used both 2G sim card with same results, from the SIM management :
1- if 4G/3G slot Card 2 = then Sim 1 is working fine / Sim 2 No Service
2- if 4G/3G slot Card 1 = then Sim 2 is working fine / Sim 1 No Service
i've made factory reset in many ways soft and hard, reinstalled the original rom via SD card then update it to the latest version and still the same resaults,
your support is appreciated :crying:

NOTE: this happened after the latest update to B123
When install original rom & then factory reset & clear all cache etc you still have same issue or is it working again while on original rom.
Would suggest looking at network settings as needs like auto or gsm mode to work with 2g card so perhaps defaults are different in new rom or been changed by something.
Would also try some more sim cards just to rule out sim or network issue.
Worse case is hardware fault :-/

Many thanks for your reply,
actually i tried many 2G as well 4G sim cards , also I've checked all the settings and possibilities, but as you mentioned most probably it is HW issue
Sorry to here that, hopefully you have return/warranty option.
Kind of reason I holding off buying one till price lowers as living in asia I know the failure risk on the chinese brand phones. Huawei not as bad as oppo but in EU, US etc if you buying without good/easy warranty/return it can be major $ loss .

Dropping calls on sim2

Hi everyone,
First post so be gentle
I got my dual sim honor 8 some months ago as I dont want to carry 2 phones around with me.
My personal sim and the phone are with Three UK and my work sim is with EE.
The three sim is in slot 1 and the EE simin slot 2 and I am finding the calls keep dropping for no reason on the EE sim. I can be in an area with full signal but when the call drops I cant dial out or receive calls. The phone goes to dial but just sits with the calling screen and then fails to connect.
After I have moved it works again, its generally happening in the same places too but places that shouldnt be an issue.
Whilst the sim 2 is in this condition I can still call out from sim 1 (Three) and this problem never occurs on sim 1 (Three).
I have tried swapping the sims over but the problem remains with the EE sim. I have tried to swap the 4g priority over but the Three sim is 3g only so wont work as the secondary sim.
I have spoken with my work IT and they have replaced the EE sim but this hasnt fixed it, I have called Three tech support who have reset this and reset that and run diagnostics and say nothing wrong with the handset.
Any ideas or any one else experienced this?
Many thanks
If it's from the EE sim card, then it's from them I believe

Could it be a temporary problem on their side?
Why don't you ask EE customer service?!

Hi,
I have and they advise no fault, they have even replaced the sim card to rule this out.
Just try with a 3rd operator on both SIM slots: that will rule out hardware problems.
As for 3G/4G, operators use different bands, but you shouldn't have any problem.

G955F not registered on network

Can't find a fix to this anywhere
I can't make any calls or connect to 4G. So far I've tried resetting network settings, triple checking my APN settings, I've even got a new sim card but still nothing.
When I make a call it says 'not registered on network'
It won't even let me automatically connect in network operators.
I've even done a full factory reset but that didn't work either
Last week the phone worked fine but now the only thing that works on it is WiFi
Anyone know how to fix?
Where is the phone from?
Not sure too be honest. I bought it on eBay about 6 months ago. It's worked perfectly fine up until now.
Don't understand how it just stopped working. I've even updated it to the latest official firmware.
go to settings --> apps---> show the system apps and go to phone app and clear data of it
go to sim toolkit then and clear the data too if there are more then 1 then do it for all and try to reboot
if that doesnt work
type *#06# and check if u see ur imei
if u dont see it ur ****d up ur efs
Thanks for your reply
It didn't work though. I cleared the data on 3 of the phone apps data & 2 of the sim toolkit.
My imei does show when doing *#06#
When I restart the phone I just get a ? symbol top right. It eventually disappears and I have 2 bars signal but I still can't make any calls, texts or have 4G though
Just to confirm it IS my phone causing the problem as my sim card works fine in my wife's s8 plus. It's not the sim tray either causing the problem as I've tried hers with the same result
Anyone?
I'm desperate for a fix
Many many thanks for all your amazing help ?????????????????

On what network was this phone previously used. The best thing to do is to contact the carrier and try to fix it with them
My understanding is IMEI blacklisted is usually when phone has been reported stolen, it's intended to render the phone unusable on any phone network.
Same
I have the same problem, is there anybody here can help me? Wipe data: done, reintall stock firmware: done, device info app installed and shows sim infomation with signal strength-141 Type lte, but, cell identity 0, lac 0, psc 0.
Wifi It's all right.

Issue with Mobile data dropping during call

Hi,
I am facing this problem for long and have not found any solution.
I am using Jio sim in SIM 1 slot and Airtel in SIM 2 slot. I am using Jio sim for 4G data connection. Whenever I receive call on any SIM the 4G data connection drop. Not sure what is the issue.
Please advice.
Always been this way, since new? How long have you had it?

2 months. So should I take it as there is no solution.
My guess, and it is a guess, is that when you have a dual sim phone, and a call comes in on one line, the other line (including data) is temporarily shut down? Do you know other folks with dual sim in your area and how their phones data works with two lines when a call comes in?

[OP6] Data Speeds are low if both SIMs are using VOLTE and how to fix it!

Really happy with my purchase of OnePlus 6, noticed that when using it with a single sim the data speeds were double and I was getting 4G+ on Airtel India.
Was able to get 4G+ with dual sim by setting the second sim to 3G and changing the network type from the testing menu (*#*#4636#*#*) to LTE/CDMA/UMTS (auto). Now I get 4g+ on sim one with excellent speed and the second sim is on 3g so essentially like any non dual Volte phone.
Hi, maybe you can help me.
On my SIM1 slot I can't have LTE (4G) with my two sims (HSPAP for network data and UMTS for voice data).
I can get LTE on my SIM2 slot, with one or two sims inside the phone.
I tried to fix this with the testing menu (BTW, you can get it with RNC Mobile app on the Playstore), wiped everything in recovery, even switched back to my OP5 to check the behaviour.
I begin to think it's a baseband issue that cannot be fixed.
Do you know how to manage to have both LTE SIM slot active ?
Do I have to RMA my phone ?
Thx in advance for your help.
This is weird! Seems like something hardware/baseband since a factory reset didn't fix it. I think you should RMA while you can!

Yes, that's what I was thinking.
I bought a screen glass protector which is on my phone.
Do you think I can contact 1+ first to explain them or RMA with no comment ?
Thx.

I will wait a few days before RMA, I found this thread. 1+ is aware of the issue and working on it.
