Vivo Y73 launched in India - General Topics

Vivo has launched this new gaming smartphone Y73 with Mediatek Helio G95 processor and 8GB RAN + Extendable RAM features. What do you think?

This extendable RAM feature seems pretty good for heavy users and Helio G95 chipset is also a good option for both gamers and regular users.

The price of the helio G95 powered Vivo Y73 might seem a bit much at first but then you have to realize that it has a really good camera setup for a phone that is in the mid-range.

Yeah, right. This mediatek-powered smartphone also has some new features as well which make it really cool for the gamers and those who love photography.

Imo the Vivo Y73 really is a stylish looking phone. The camera, battery, mediatek processor -- all are great

Yeah, more smartphones like Vivo Y53s have arrived with a Mediatek gaming chipset and the extendable RAM features. Vivo is doing well.

whats's the price of this phone?

Question about processors

I'm thinking of buying HTC A9s for my parents. Price is quite right (300€), 720p screen, 3GB of RAM and maybe a little bit too small battery.
The only thing that scares me is the processor. I always had Snapdragon, which has a good reputation (minus the 810). The A9s comes with Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10. Is it any good? People on the forums keeps saying that it is rubbish, but they never answer to the question why is it rubbish.
What do you guys think? Is it worth spending 300€ on a phone with Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10?
Thanks, David

It's something like intel vs amd. Mediatek gets the job done but it isn't something perfect when it comes to performance (For instance 4 core 8xx snapdragon performs a lot better than 10 core mediatek), next problem may be that if somebody find some vulnerability in the chipset, mediatek rather release new model of their soc instead of releasing some security patches + you must consider that the phone with mediatek chipset, most likely won't get any future updates, even custom roms support is poor or even doesn't exist

Realme C25 launched in India

Realme has launched the new Realme C25 with Mediatek Helio G70 chipset and a huge 6000mAh battery with 18W charging support. What's your view?
Looks like a good device with its Mediatek Helio G70 chipset and the powerful battery. But yes, the camera section should have been slightly better.
Even though it is the highest priced among the three, the C25 has a very good specs list with the helio gaming chipset being the highlight

Absolutely. I also like the 128GB storage at the low cost but the Mediatek gaming chipset and the battery section are surely the highlights of the device.
it feels like a powerful combo to have a phone with an insane battery life plus a mediatek gaming chipset. and for less than 10k which makes it pretty affordable

Poco M2 Reloaded launched in India

Poco has launched the Reloaded variant of Poco M2 in India with an enhanced Full HD+ display support and the same MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. Your thoughts?
Technology has made it so that one can now do heavy duty gaming even on budget phones like the Poco M2 Reloaded. The use of the Helio G80 chipset was a good move imo.

True that. Along with the Mediatek G80 chipset, the 4GB RAM and the powerful Full HD+ display also assist in gaming.
Seems like the sub-10K smartphone segment in India is getting increasingly crowded these days but its good to see that brands are not skimping on massive battery power, screen size or camera specs. Even the mediatek processors used are appropriate.

Infinix Hot 10 Play launched in India as well

After its successful run in Africa, Infinix Hot 10 Play with Helio G35 processor has been launched in India in the budget segment. Thoughts?
This will be a good phone for India because of the low cost and the solid MTK helio processor used.
I think the Infinix Hot 10 Play has some very nice features and for a phone that costs less than Rs 10,000, it has a strong mediatek chipset, a huge battery and some nice cameras.
Mediatek Helio G35 would be good for the basic uses and also offer assistance to the basic gamers. The other features of the device look good at the cost.

Redmi Note 10S launched in India

Redmi Note 10S has been launched in India in 2 variants with MediaTek Helio G95 processor, starting at just 15k? What do you think?
I think for a phone that costs 15K and has a huge battery, 64MP camera and helio G95 chipset, the price is reasonable.
I think the cost of this phone will less than 16k. But it will better if they launch at 13k.

True, the cost is less than 16k, but with the Helio G95 chipset, it looks good enough at the present cost.

I think this phone deserves more credit that it gets. It has a lovely display, a good helio G95 chipset and a huge battery power
This smartphone was launched in India just to counter the steps of Realme 8 4G. Both have the same Mediatek chipset at the same cost.

AT 16k, you can get 128GB storage with Mediatek Helio g95 processor and I think this is a much better option for the users.
