Hey everyone,
Im trying to flash twrp and root my Note 20 Ultra (N985F-D) but I cant seem to find any tutorials that give clear instructions for this specific device variant. If anyone has proper instructions with links or even a video tutorial that would be great.
I appreciate you help
Same here. N985F. Bricked tf out my phone yesterday trying so many different methods. There's literally nothing out there. I spent all night looking. Very frustrating
If I find anything I will keep u in the loop. I'm really trying to find something. Anything

Not N985F on android 11... already tried flashing his software and plenty of others last night. Did NOT work. If you were able to flash successfully, providing you have THE SAME EXACT MODEL and OS ... please feel free to share screenshots and/or pics.

I am showing you a Custom Rom, Dr.Ketan ROM which I installed through TWRP.
If you have TWRP... lmk. And your build is different from mine. So IF.... IF TWRP worked for you on your build, then I'd have to tweak it somehow for mine. But showing me this doesn't show me anything but the fact that you're rooted. And root is super easy....

I'm not an expert here... but I have years of experience flashing phones and bricking them too. So I know if it's not the same Model and software build.. there's a good chance it won't work. My phone is from Panama.... I just don't wanna brick my phone again flashing something that's not meant for my software build or exact model.

Just hit cancel for Twrp password. Also this may have the same issue as the other root tool, if you aren't flashing a rom after unlock and root you must clear data in Twrp. There are threads around here about it, in general I believe. Try booting back into bootloader then Twrp and wipe data, see if it boots. I fixed mine this way. If not there is a restore dead nexus 1 click in the development forum that'll get you up and running again.

Good to hear. I think more instructions should be in the op, like the data wipe If not flashing a custom rom.

oh, sorry about that, this tool is an alpha(do not have the device but has been tested) as for the bootloop part the program asks you if your stuck in a bootloop then directs you to a thread that fixes that as these are 2 different processes.
this tool is classed as development, and the unbrick process is part of trouble shooting and help!

700t1 and 700t should be identical hardware. Haven't looked, but pretty sure since both are using tmo network.
So twrp may work on both.....both don't hold me to it.

TWRP is compiling for j700t as I type. I will test then post.

It(unable to open loop device) is actually a compatiblity issue; check Post. Also this issue may have occurred due to some wrong procedure following; check Post comment #125.
Maybe, what i feel is that your phone is stuck in bootloop?
I would suggest you to flash the twrp again, and flash the custom rom after that again, with proper procedure. Be patient and chill. Your device is gonna be alright.
I would link a YouTube tutorial for flashing twrp on Poco X3, incase you need.
Also there is no official twrp available for Poco X3. Maybe the issue could be bc of that too. But hey, you can still try.

Stock firmware from Tecno smartphones. Although our smartphones are practically brothers, their firmware seemed to me more interesting than ours, and it works faster. In the firmware, all system partitions are transferred to RW.Added more fonts. Put it through a custom recovery:we make a backup, flash the file, make the data format, and rejoice in the new firmware

Yes, it is necessary to flash in the super section. A little later I will give another link, I have changed the firmware. By the way, since these smartphones are brothers, I got one interesting trick:you can make a backup of the data on the stock, and then restore it on this firmware, and everything works fine. But the backup data from this firmware, for some reason does not want to load. But it's even more convenient, it takes up less space. One backup for two firmware.
