Android radio not safe shutting down/sleep - General Questions and Answers

Hey everyone
So I recently had to change the ECU on my car and I added some gauges to help with af ratio and temp. A friend helped me install them.
When I turn my car on. My Android radio boots normally. When I turn the car off it used to go to sleep until it's timer went off and it would completely shut down. Now when I turn the car off it completely turns off. No sleep no **** down it just shuts down.
What can I do to fix this I bought a pumpkin Android radio thinking the radio went bad and it does the same thing except if I put the car in the position before turning the car on. It will safe shutdown.
Please help
Thank you in advance

[Q] Can't see anything on display

WARNING: not a native english speaker.
when I try to start the phone the following occur:
the display light turns on, shortly after that the phone emits that startup vibration, the backlight remains on for aprox. 85 seconds then the phone aparently shuts down. that meant, the backlight of the display turns off.
problem history:
I was at work and as usual i was listenin to music via handsfree. while my phone was in poket it seemed that somehow my poket pressed the sleep button and turned the screen up. no prob here. i got the phone out of ma poket. reverted the volume @ maximum and then locked the phone and turned the screen off and putted back in pocket. after some time i wanted to change the song. got out the phone, turned on the screen but nothink apeared except a horizontal line in the middle of the screen. I tried to shut down/up the screen but nothink apeared. after a couple of tries the screen turn on but it was unusual what i saw on it. I saw a sketch of the energy rom home screen with diferent colors.
Meantime i was tryng to get the screen outta sleep the music still played in the phones.
I thaugt that a reset will do but it didn't. got out the battery and got home. reasembled it, powerd up the phone and voila! the phone started up normaly. got out the battery, introduced the sim card. powerer up the phone but bad luck. the happiness was short lived. the problem camed back. another thing i noticed is that when i powwer on the phone i let it on but it wont output that energy rom bootup sound.
Can someone elude me with whats the problem with my phone?
hope I was clear enough!
Have a great day/night!
UPDATE: LEFT IT OVERNIGHT WITHOUT THE BATTERY AND NOW ASSEMBLED BACK. IT'S WORKING BUT I THINK IF I GIVE A RESTART THE problem will come back.

[Q] bluetooth question

today i came home from school and found my transformer stuck at the boot screen and it was really hot so i connected my dock i tried to turn on my bluetooth wont turn on any suggestions on what i should do or is bluetooth just reallllly slow to turn on?
I would turn everything off for and hour and unplug. After the hour is up, attach dock, plug in charger to wall and dock and then boot up. Then I would turn on TF Bluetooth and erase previously synced devices you are having trouble with. Then re pair the item and hopefully problem solved. Most of these chips will shut down or reduce their speed to lower heat levels which could destroy them, as a safety feature. Good Luck

Any apps to auto boot/shut down? Need help..

Whats up XDA.
So I have a galaxy tab sch-i800 running on cyanogenmod 9. I plan to fit my tablet into the dashboard of my car. I have everything worked out except how I'm going to turn it on and off. since I won't be able to access the power button I need a way for it to power on/off by its self, that way its not occasionally dead when I start my car.
At first I planed to use tasker to turn the tablet on when plugged in (or when I start my car, it turns on). and then turn off after an hour of inactivity (or an hour after I've turned off my car).
But now that I'm looking at tasker it won't let me use the command "turn on" (even though I'm rooted) and I don't see a turn off command.
Is there any apps out there that can help do exactly what I want?
I have noticed that 4.2 and higher automatically boots the device when it is plugged in, I'm on 4.0, would upgrading screw up cyanogenmod?
Thanks!

[Q] Autosleeper app for android car stereo

I am looking at buying a 7" pure android 4.4.2 stereo navigation unit for my car. The only real drawback I can tell is that the unit will completely shut down when I turn the key off. It does have an unswitched power wire and a switched power wire. My initial assumption was that the unit would not shut down when the key is turned off, but go into standby like my phone died when i press power button. But the vendor says it will shut down and take over a minute to boot up when I start the car.
I just found an app called Autosleeper Auto Power On-Off. It will bring the phone out of standby when I connect power to it and put it into standby when I disconnect power. Will something like that work on the android stereos?
Does anyone have any experience with the units with the two power wires and can give me some insight?
Thanks

Question cable installation verification

Hi all,
have heard a lot of case about misplaced ACC and CONT cable which makes the battery drain out.
My unit is not installed by myself, may I know how what can be the behaviour of misplaced ACC and CONT cable?
For now, I can see the unit can go sleep (i think it's slept) after turn off the car. And while the car is OFF, no matter what button and how long i press on those buttons the unit wont turn on itself.
HI there.
Then you unit is correctly installed. The ignition position ACC means Acessory Only, in other words it allows operation of electrical accessories with the engine off. When you switch to Off or take your key out of the ignition the radio must be killed because power is cut.
CONT is when electricity is always provided even if the ignition is switched off, example: the car alarm or the interior light. Then you radio would be in sleep mode all the time and the battery would be drained (and yes, you would be able to power on the radio even if the ignition was off).
Regards.
