today i came home from school and found my transformer stuck at the boot screen and it was really hot so i connected my dock i tried to turn on my bluetooth wont turn on any suggestions on what i should do or is bluetooth just reallllly slow to turn on?
I would turn everything off for and hour and unplug. After the hour is up, attach dock, plug in charger to wall and dock and then boot up. Then I would turn on TF Bluetooth and erase previously synced devices you are having trouble with. Then re pair the item and hopefully problem solved. Most of these chips will shut down or reduce their speed to lower heat levels which could destroy them, as a safety feature. Good Luck

Hey fellas..
Whenever I sync any bluetooth device to my phone, it periodically turns on my display on my Samsung Omnia (it turns off normally on its own). As soon as I turn off the bluetooth device or disconnect with it, then my display stays off. My bluetooth stays enabled during all this testing FYI.
Has anybody ran into this issue before?
Thanks in advance
why would that be an issue?

I have my bluetooth headset on and my screen keeps turning on every few minutes. Its any bluetooth device being linked to my phone.
Bumping my question back to Page 1.
you mean... it lights up every now and again while a bluetooth device is connected? or only while connecting to the device?
With my bluetooth headset connected the screen turns on every few minutes and it appears that the time inbetween the screen turning on is identical. I think the headset is just checking with the phone to keep connected, which turns the screen on.
When I synced via bluetooth to my desktop, the screen turns on whenever I do anything over bluetooth between the computer and the phone.
Is there any registery settings that I might try to prevent bluetooth from turning my screen on? ever?
Same thing here mate. Only my Touch Pro turns on the display (and keeps it on no matter what) whenever some BT accesory is connected, whether it be the carkit or the headphones. Pressing the power button causes the screen to turn off only to turn on by itself a second later. When BT accessory is disconnected everything works normal. Oh and I have bluetooth on all the time on the phone (never turn it off), but it only does this with smth connected. I suppose it's some kind of keepalive, but it annoys the hell outta me cause I can't listen to music w/o draining my battery and even starting some programs by accidental screen presses. So if anyone has a solution to keep the screen off it'd be more than welcome.
Looking for thoughts and suggestions.....
My Vadafone 845 (Huawei U8120) went through the wash the other day. I took the battery out as soon as I found it and let it dry out for 2 days... turned it on and nothing.
So I baked at 60 degrees for a couple hours (with the battery removed) and now it turns on but doesn't boot the OS. I just hangs on an hourglass in the middle of the screen.
Interestingly, the phone will not turn on when the charger is connected or if it is connected to USB. If I turn the phone on and then connect the USB, the phone doens't turn off... I can even remove the battery and the power via USB keeps it going. Unfortunately, the computer does not register that a device is connected.
Recovery and bootloader modes don't work.
I can however get into firmware update mode and was even able to successfully update the firmware.... with no change to the phones behavior.
So does anyone have any thoughts on how I might be able to resurrect my phone?
Okay so this is whats going on, my phone has started to act up since yesterday, this is what happens: When I turn off, its screen is slow responsive, when I touch it sometimes it feels my touch but nothing happens, if I connect the device to the computer, or to a USB cable charger, the issue dissapears, but when I disconnect the phone, my battery changes between the icon of the battery status, and a battery with a cable on it (as if it was connected or charging) it keeps changing between those two forever, works just fine, but if I turn the phone off and turn it on again, issue reappears, then I have to connect it for it to work properly.
I have already done a factory reset through Settings>About> Reset.
Any thoughts on that?
Stock S6 (T-Mobile, 64GB, White). I have two different QI chargers (one is the TYLT Vu Wireless Charger (Qi) and the other is a CHOE stadium). The phone charges fine with both chargers, but the screen keeps turning on while charging and I can't seem to find a setting to disable this.
As soon as I put it on the charger, the screen turns on, so I hit the power button. Usually it turns back on within 5 seconds, so I hit the power button again. It will then stay off for a while, but if I wake up in the middle of the night the screen is back on again. Any ideas what is causing this?
I have noticed that the screen tends to turn on when I get a notification or when the "searching for GPS" pops up on the lock screen, but in both cases the display will dim but it will not turn all the way off.
Edit - forgot to mention that I get the same results regardless of whether or not the phone is in a case.
I got the same thing with portable battery packs... very annoying.
Also mine keeps getting off and on all the time.
Strange - my screen turns off fine if it's plugged charging via USB. It's only wireless charging that has issues on mine.
The screen always wakes up when it starts or stops charging. Do you have the developer option turned on to leave the scree on when charging? If so, when it wakes up at the end of charging, it will never turn back off. If you don't have this option enabled, then I don't have a good reason.
Thank you thank you! I just enabled developer options (after accidentally finding Flappy Android) and the "keep screen on while charging" option was turned on by default. Doing a test charge now, but it appears as if the screen is staying off.
Awesome!
Hey,
I bought the Sony Xperia 1 II today, charged, set it up, moved all the stuff from my old phone to it, all went perfect.
Then I decided I'd move music onto it, this is where the issues began.. I plugged the cable into the back of my PC but neither the phone or the PC would recognize eachother.. After some fiddling, plugging and unplugging, I finally managed to put the phone into file transfer mode.
After I was done with the transfers, I unplugged the USB cable and the phone turned off.. Now I have to have it plugged to the charger or I have to hold the power button to use it.
Any ideas? My guess is that it's stuck in some USB limbo. I've been wanting to clear the cache partition but I have no idea how to get to it on this phone.. Also not really feeling like doing a factory reset since it'd mean sitting through all the app setups, logins and jazz.
Thanks.
tl;dr
Phone turns off when you unplug USB/charger, works perfectly fine when plugged in or when you hold down the power button (it boots and lets you use the screen like normal, just a bit awkward ofc).
