Hey all, OnePlus 8 not detected in Ubuntu or Gallium OS, not detected by lsusb even though MTP is on, ADB and Fastboot don't detect the device and the device will not let me choose anything other than data transfer, everything else is all grayed out. I have tried re-installing adb, fastboot, drivers, wiping the device, using a different cable (I have 5 I'm playing with) and using a different device. Nothing is working. My phone is on EvolutionX ROM.
Also, the notification that shows whenever the device is connected to another and allows you to change the USB state (MTP, PTP, etc) does not show.

Hello ppl. I successfully rooted the phone, but after that PC doesn't recognise it as Media device and only as camera interface. Phone is not recognised even in windows device manager after ticking the "Media Device" in android. When I untick this option it is shown like that (which should be fine after ticking the option, not after unticking it I think:

I know I have to update the drivers ( I downloaded them from here) but it's allowing me to do so, because after I choose "Media Device" in USB android menu, the phone disappears completely in windows device manager..
Please help me, much appreciated.
Help please!
I have this phone, the Neffos C5s, with the SOC MTK6735 and Android 7.0, but I can't make the ADB command line work.
I already installed all the drivers on my OS (W7 x64), ADB and the phone MTP are recognized by my PC, but when I try to list the devices connected to ADB ( adb devices ), the list is empty and in the phone the RSA key doesn't appear.
I tried to restart the ADB server, turning off and on the debugging option on Settings, deleting the old permissons of debugging, but it just don't work, and while I try to use ADB with my personal phone it is recognized with any problem.

Hi.
I own a used Nexus 5. My problem is that when I plugged the phone in to pc, the system is unable to detect it and it cannot be found in Windows device manager at all. When I go to phone settings it says usb unplugged (as you can see in the screenshot, that's polish language).
Right now phone is running Lineage OS 15.1. I think it has nothing to do with this particular rom because I tried it recently on 3 other roms and there's the same issue. When I enter TWRP recovery, Windows can see it as mass storage.
I'd like to mention previously I was running some older Resurrection Remix rom and eveyrthing worked OK.
Anyone help, please?

I recently had my phone's board replaced so I lost root. Now, I'm trying to unlock my bootloader again, but I keep on getting this error when connecting my phone. Dev option is already enabled, OEM unlocking and USB debugging are enabled as well. Also, phone charges so nothing's wrong with the cable. And I'm using the same PC I used to root my phone, but that's 2 or 3 years ago. Anyone has an idea and can help me?

Potato inc.
Active now
It looks like a defective usb port on the PC or an incorrect repair.
And if you connected in Fastboot or simply to transfer photos, what happens?
I have a USB to C-USB to connect my android tablet to PC win 10 ,i can see it's connected but nothing show and no way to make files show, do i need a special usb to C-USB cable? or is there a way to connect Device to PC without cable?
If tablet's USB mode is set to "MTP" you should see the tablet's files / directories in Windows Explorer.
