Hello!
I spent the last 2 days figuring out how to install Huawei share (pc manager) on a Non-Huawei laptop, and I encountered a lot of outdated informations or outdated files, missing download links, bugs, but I finally made it to work. I hope this post will save others some time.
THIS IS NOT MY WORK. I just spent a lot of time struggling on chinese sites to understand how this app work, instructions were in chinese.
This is Huawei PC Manager v11, it should work for AMD CPU ( but i didn't tested it ).
Your PC needs bluetooth and wifi (you can use it through cable without bt & wifi) & NFC Tag works too.
Download link for zip file: https://www.mediafire.com/file/mgd2f3hh3bf9d9u/PCManagerHuawei.rar/file
1. Extract the zip and open PCManagerMgr.exe as administrator.
2. Set your PC time to May 12, 2020. *THIS IS IMPORTANT*
3. In PCManagerMgr, you should insert code : 1DBDFC If you didn't set May 12, 2020 it doesn't work.

Black arrow - > It's not PcManager V10. it's v11 but I couldn't change the program so, i rename the installer from v11 to v10 to match our program.
Yellow thing - > I just tried to blur my pc's serial number but you can get it anyway by scanning the QR code that I forgot to blur, anyway, I won't blur further.
Green arrows - > You won't have the same status, mine is already installed and i'm running it right now, that's why.
Make everything the same as in photo and you're good to go, press install. The installer should open.
After the installation, you can launch PC Manager from desktop shortcut, go to phone on left, and click connect.
Follow the red arrow in the above picture and click that half QR code.
You will get a bigger QR Code, picture 2 lines below.
Now you need to enable Huawei Share, BT and maybe NFC on your Huawei phone. (i really don't know if it's mandatory to have nfc on).
Scan this QR code using Huawei's browser, it won't work with any other QR Scanner. You need to set Huawei's Browser as default browser. Some connection requests should appear and click allow.
IF You scan this QR Code and all you get is this, and nothing happens:
Then you need to go to settings on your phone -> apps -> apps -> search for browser -> and in the upper right corner you have 3 dots, with an "uninstall updates" option. You need to uninstall updates, i think they patched this with some update. Never update browser app.
then you can try again to scan QR Code, it should work now.
If you have an NFC Tag and want to use it, You need to install that chinese .apk file on your phone, you have it in the zip file you downloaded.
This chinese named apk file will install Huawei Share OneHop app. With this app you need to scan the QR Code from PCManagerMgr, it's the QR Code from the first picture of this post, and after you scan it, it will ask you to place the NFC module (your phone, near the cameras on p40 pro) against the NFC Tag you want to use. It should be done and good to go. It worked for me in the first try.
If you have more questions, feel free to ask here.
It's my first post, I'm not good at this. This is not my work, I just wanted to help people since there isn't an updated post.
Also my english is not so good but it's better than chinese.

THANK YOU, this is the most understandable and complete tutorial about this. i finally get it connected after days of trying before i read this tutorial.
But now i have a problem, the multi screen cant show anything. i can control the phone (3 button at the bottom and clicks is registered) but the picture didnt show up just stuck like this. i tried diff version of pc manager and set nvidia control panel etc, but nothing works. if anybody know how (or just any idea that i can try) to resolve this, i will appreciate it. thank you
Hi,
thank you for the file and the guide. It's been really helpful. Do you have any tips on how to connect over Wi-Fi?
My problem is that at certain point I have de-installed the Huawei Browser from my phone and now I can only download it via the App Gallery (where I get the screenshot that you've uploaded). Should I look on APK mirror or similar for an older version, and if there is one available, which one would you recommend?
Otherwise, the phone connects and works via USB cable

My browser is version 11.0.2.306
Wow, it works on my ROG strix and Huawei Mate20x...
Now i wont need to buy matepad 11 to replace my gaming laptop...
Thanks for the translation and explanation
Thanks for sharing this helpful trick.

At first I tried to connect my phone by USB, and it worked. However, OneHop (NFC Tag) always fails.
Then I tried to connect by Scan the QR Code (you need to Uninstall browser Updates first), yes it worked too. After that, suddenly my OneHop managed to work perfectly.
I can conclude that, in order to use OneHop, PC Manager has to get authenticated for the first time (because when connecting by OneHop it always shows an error that authentication failed). Maybe the OneHop feature has a bug or something that makes it not work properly.
Then by connecting by QR Code, the PC Manager has received authentication, so that the OneHop feature can work properly because it already authenticated.
Thank you very much for instruction, could you please describe more about nfc tag, if I want to create my own, what nfc tag type should I buy and by that chinese app I would be able to Wright data on that nfc tag? Will apretiate if you will describe more how you made your nfc tag what will support same futures as original Huawei share tag, because I even thought to go to shop and try to copy nfc tag from Huawei laptop)) and please tell me after reinstalling windows and new instalation of pcmanager old created nfc tag will work?

You can buy a Programmable NFC Tag Sticker, it's cost less than $1/pc in my local store.
Aliexpress (for reference only)
As I understanded that Chinese app for Android will make Wright to nfc sticker and after it would be like Huawei sticker

But what type of nfc tag do I need? And how to make that nfc tag work as Huawei share original tag?

You need a Programmable NFC Tag like the product in Aliexpress I posted.
How it work? (as far as I know)
The OneHop App (Chinese App) write a code (or maybe an URL Address) into the NFC Tag.
The NFC Tag will trigger the PC Manager and make a connection once it tapped.
I tried scan the Barcode in PC Manager, and I got this address: (I replaced some text with XXXX)
Code:
https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/laptopsassistant/v2applinks/?s=XXXX&version=4.0.0.2&devid=XXXX&random=XXXX&modeltype=5&modelsubtype=0&s2=XXXX
I think the address is unique & static for every PC, because I can make a connection by enter this address in browser without scan the barcode anymore.
And maybe the mechanisme is the same as the (configured) NFC tag do, NFC Tag will open the same URL address once it tapped.
I believe the original Huawei Share do the same way.
(ps: I can't check what code in my configured NFC Tag, everytime I tap the tag by NFC Reader App it just not work, and my phone immediatly open the Connection (to PCManager) Popup. Using another non-Huawei NFC phone should be work I think)

Okay I see, thank you very much for explanation, last question, there is a lot of types of nfc tag, commonly ntag213, ntag215, is that matter what nfc tag I will use? What type you have been using to make that pcmanager work?

I need some help. This method already worked for me with the version given, but I would like to install Huawei PC Manager version 11.1.1.97 on my PC, since it is the latest version of this application and I would love to be able to connect the tablet that I will buy in a couple of months.
Is there a way to update the software or directly install the most up-to-date version?
11.1.1.97 is not working for me, it is giving me error about drivers not updated. Use previous version i.e. PCManager11.0.8.87(C233).exe, it will work with the same procedure.

***THIS DISCUSSION IS ONLY FOR ANDROID 4.0 ICE CREAM SANDWICH! THESE APPS ONLY WORKS IN ANDROID 4.0! DON'T TRY THESE ON OTHER VERSIONS!***
So, first and foremost, Not I, or anyone else is responsible to any damage you do to your device. You are renaming/modifying system files so if you screw it up you are RESPONSIBLE, NOT US. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Follow the instructions in this post and you should be fine.
BELOW YOU HAVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR ARMv7 AND ARMv6 SEPARATELY, BECAUSE ARMv6 HAS ONLY A WORKAROUND FOR VOICE! SOME USERS SAID THAT ON THEIR ARMv6 DEVICES, VERSION FOR ARMv7 WORKS, SO YOU COULD GIVE IT A TRY, IF YOU ARE ON ARMv6!!!
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ARMv7 DEVICES (I repeat, you could give it a try if you're on ARMv6)
For ARMv7, there are some APKs and some flashable ZIPs. So I will give some information for everyone!
APKs for Google now: ATTENTION>>ALL O THESE APKs SHOULD BE USED WITH OTHER FILES. YOU HAVE TO USE THESE INSTRUCTIONS<<
• Download LennoxPackage.zip from http://www.mediafire.com/?8lv1h2879q925x1 It is not a flashable ZIP!!! Do not flash this in recovery!!!
• Extract all 3 folders from LennoxPackage.zip to a new folder on your computer
• Then download and replace the Velvet file in the app folder of your new folder with one of the following Velvet.apks. The Velvet.apk from Zip don't working!!!
• Move the folder you've created (with 3 subfolders) to your SD Card
• On your phone, in /system/app/, rename GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk to GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk.bak using Root Explorer (or something similar)
• In the folder you placed on your SD - you'll need to move everything from the /app/ folder to /system/app/, and set permissions to RW/R/R for each of the 3 .apks
• copy the files from the lib folder on your SD, and paste to system/lib (note, a couple of these already exist. Before copying these files go through /system/lib/ and rename any existing files to include .bak, then copy/paste new files. If you don't do this it will paste them with '- copy' as part of the file name). Change permissions of these New files to rw/r/r
• rename the existing "config" folder in /system/usr/srec/ on your phone to "config.bak", then just paste "config" and "en-US" from the srec folder on your SD to /system/usr/srec/. Some, also changed permissions on config and en-US to RWX/RX/RX
• Reboot and enjoy. (of course, your System partition should be mounted R/W -read/write - to move files in it)
And now, the APKs  >>
1. The no double take APK. The most of these APKs, shows Google Now Cards twice, one after another. This problem is solved in this APK, but it has another problem>>sometimes, you have to move your fingers on the screen for showing up the Cards<< Here, the auto-launch function should work!!!
Here is the link>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1240357&d=1344043690 !!! Enjoy it! :good:
2. The one with no double take and no blank screen. This one eliminates the double take problem and the problem with white screen when you don't see Cards and you have to move your fingers on the screen. But it has another problem>>it eliminates auto-launch function because it refresh automatically the screen for showing up the Cards and there is no transition animation (for those that don't know, auto-launch function is that function that you can see when you say something like>>Navigate to ...<<A blue bar shows up and it loads and automatically does that action, in this case, opens the Google Maps Navigation and schedules your navigation details)
Here is the link>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1242492&d=1344147549 !!!
3. The first voice-functional version. This one has double take but it should't have blank screen problem. It sometimes has auto-launch, sometimes not, from what I heard from users.
Here is the link>> http://www.mediafire.com/?ij9tsfg5jitm8ep !!!
4. A new version from mikeyxda. This should resolve the double take problem, auto-lauch and white screen, but it has some problems with the showing up of the cards on some phones, as I saw at you, guys.
Here is the link>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1243199&d=1344183455 !!!
5. A new APK from mikeyxda. Oh man, you are completely dedicated! I like that!!! Keep it on this way!
This APK should resolve:
1. No double takes
2. Web results display properly: no font stretch or invisible results
3. Action countdown fully functional
4. "Refresh" is always available via a press of the Menu button from the cards view
Here is the download link>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1243421&d=1344190796
More information here>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29824319&postcount=8.
The choice is yours!!! You will choose the APK that is working for you!!!
**Removed per original authors request*** ~TRM
And we are done with ARMv7 devices!!! :good: Oh, man, this will be big  !!!
TIP FOR ARMv7 DEVICES>>>***LONG PRESS ON MICROPHONE BUTTON FROM GOOGLE NOW, NOT JUST A SIMPLE PRESS, THIS WILL HELP YOU SO MUCH TO AVOID PROBLEMS !!!***<<<
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ARMv6 DEVICES (of course, if you have an ARMv7 device and methods for ARMv7 didn't work for you, you could use this, give it a try!!! This should work on almost every device with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwitch!!!)
These are the current instructions:
1. Rename GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk in system/app to GoogleQuickSearchBox.bak
2. Rename the "Velvet-Thes0o-5.apk" that you downloaded ( http://www.mediafire.com/?hbtjvbzwbbaf3yj ) to: "GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk"
3. Place the renamed .apk in the system/app folder and set the permissions to rw-r-r
4. Reboot and enjoy!
OR
1. Rename GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk in system/app to GoogleQuickSearchBox.bak
2. Try to install the downloaded .apk off your sd just like any other .apk
OR
1. Flash this .zip through recovery -- AOSP ONLY
Here is the link>> http://goo.gl/svDEF !!!
To make Voice Action work (this is just a workaround for ARMv6 devices -if is needed, I repeat, for ARMv7 devices- that will listen to you, but it doesn't give you voice responses, just repeats what you said) you have to use these instructions:
1. Download the "Voice Search for Google Now!" app from here>> https://dl.dropbox.com/u/11388416/GoogleNowVoiceSearch.apk !!! and install it!
2. Either open up the app, hold down search or tap on the dedicated widget that comes with the app to launch the voice search
3. The app will use ICS's voice-to-text engine to get your answer, and then enters it into the Google Now app. All you have to do is hit enter and then congrats, you've got working voice search!
So, to get it working, open Voice Search for Google Now (after you installed Google Now with above instructions for ARMv6 devices), click that microphone button, say what you want, the app will open Google Now, you will see that what you said is written in Google Now, press Enter on Keyboard, and you will see the result.
***>>>NOTE FOR ARMv6 VERSION: THE VERSION FOR ARMv6, DOESN'T VOICE-RESPOND TO YOU, IT SHOWS UP RESULT, BUT IT DOESN'T READ WHAT IS WRITTEN IN RESULT, IT JUST REPEATS WHAT YOU SAID!!! THE VERSION FOR ARMv6 HAS DOUBLE TAKE!!! YOU MUST HAVE INSTALLED A PREVIOUS WORKING VOICE SEARCH, LIKE THE ONE FROM GINGERBREAD OR HONEYCOMB, TO HAVE THIS THING WORKING. YOU COULD DOWNLOAD VOICE SEARCH VERSION 2.1.4 FROM HERE>> http://www.mediafire.com/?r9b47dcirtt8m98 <<<***
INFORMATION!!!>>>
FIRST>>THANK YOU very much to all the kind people who are providing the modded .apks and .zips for us. I can't account for every single person but thank you all for helping with the effort.
Second, I will try to update this post as frequently as possible, but its so difficult to keep up with you, guys  !!! Any 'info dumps' in PM's would be appreciated.
For those of you who are complaining of no cards showing up:
You Have to understand that Google Now works by gathering information about where you are, what you search for OVER TIME. You simply can not expect it to have all of the information you want in a few minutes after you installed it, wait for it a few days, just use the Google search like you would usually and it will start to fill in!
Devices this will NOT work on:
-Devices that are running anything before Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
-Devices not running an AOSP ROM (in most cases, try anyway and report back)
-iOS Devices (Suckas!)
Secondary voice widget:
If your ROM doesn't support a persistent search widget, this will allow you to still have a search widget that also ties to Voice Search for Google Now app
(and its color customizable for you, themers out there).

Ugh. At the risk of people think I'm "bombing" these threads with Velvet.apk versions, I have one more version today. Every time I think I'm done, someone mentions another path or "case" where I'm able to make a correction/improvement. The one attached here is hopefully my last for today and it corrects the fact that the "Refresh" menu option is not available if you go straight to the Google Now cards without first doing a search. Now "Refresh" is always available via "Menu", so to sum this version up, it does the following:
(1) No double takes
(2) Web results display properly: no font stretch or invisible results
(3) Action countdown fully functional
(4) "Refresh" is always available via a press of the Menu button from the cards view
Tips:
Searching from cards view: results are heard but don't display
If you use the small mic from the cards view window, your search will work but the results are not displayed. Simply press "Menu", "Refresh" to display them.
Searching from cards view: getting back to the red mic search window
If you are on the cards view and you want to get back to "the big red mic", just press on the small little mic on the cards view window and immediately after, use "Menu", "Refresh" while that mic is still active and it'll refresh the mic to the main/red search mic and you're back in business. "Menu", "Refresh" refreshes whatever action is currently going on so if you do a "Menu", "Refresh" while the mic is listening, it'll refresh the mic to the red mic and you'll be back on the search window.

I don't think you can install the apk like a regular app. You can use adb to push the file out to your phone or use root manager to replace the velvet.apk in system/app and change the permissions.

Has anyone had any (consistent) luck with sports cards? Right now I only have one card: for the Tampa Bay Rays. If I reboot the phone, sometimes (maybe 1 out of 10 times) I'll get the little baseball in the notifications and it'll notify me about game results after it's over. But... I never get a notification that the game has started. Never get updates when the score changes during the games. Is this a known limitation of the ICS port? I have the settings checked to "low priority" so I should be getting them consistently but I've gotten maybe one out of a dozen and... only when I reboot. For now, I've just turned the main on/off switch for Google Now to "Off" because all it does is drain my battery and never gives me any reliable notifications anyway. Just wondering if this is a known issue. I tried a search but only found a few people complaining that they don't work at all. I can't find any reference to them only working intermittently (rarely).
I said "McDonalds" into it once and it told me probably 3 times within an hour what the traffic was like to the nearest McDonalds. But I can't get it to give reliable sports cards.

The only issue I have is the wording, but if you get it right it works flawless.
If you ask "when do the rangers play again" you will not get a card, but if you ask "when does the rangers play again" you get a card as you can see here:

Once I got sports cards to start working they seem to be getting more reliable as I use them. Be sure to do a ton of voice searches for your team right off the bat so it will know to prioritize them. My problem is actually with the auto weather notification, I swiped it away about 4 days ago and its never come back to my notification bar.. It's there in the cards section, but never the notifiy bar.
As far as a new video, I'd like to check out mikeys new apk, then if I get time maybe I can post one. if someone wants to beat me to it by all means go ahead.
One more thing.. mikey I wouldn't give up on using it quite yet, as you may have read- it really does seem to get better the more you use it and travel around town with it.. The first couple days I had it installed I was pretty much like.. is this it??

I'm not having any trouble there. Things you ask it are fine. The things it should be offering up to you automatically (without you having to ask) is where it falls flat. If I have a card for the Tampa Bay Rays, my understanding is that it should automatically alert you when the game is about to begin via notifications and also send notifications automatically during the game when the score changes. That just doesn't work.

[APP][4.0.3+] SuperBeam | Easy & Fast File Sharing with WiFi-Direct | NFC/QR Pairing
Quick update on 4.0: we've released a new version (4.0) on Google Play. I'll update the thread with features later on. Just a quick note on compatibility: we've dropped support for Gingerbread because it is becoming a huge obstacle towards developing the app. Apologies for inconvenience.
Quick update #2: If the QR scanner is not working for you after the new update, please DM me as soon as possible. I can see error reports on Crashlytics but no one reached to cooperate in resolving the issue.
SuperBeam is the easiest and fastest way to share files between Android devices using WiFi Direct (or tethering mode for older devices). Devices can be paired using QR Code scanning (with the included scanner) or NFC if available (just like Samsung's proprietary S-Beam).
Features:
Share files between devices using NFC or QR code scanning.
Blazing fast transfer speeds using WiFi direct.
Switches to hotspot mode automatically for devices that doesn't support WiFi direct.
Can use existing WiFi network connection between devices.
Share single or multiple files of any type (photos, videos, zip files, APK's... You name it!)
Share with devices that do not have SuperBeam using web interface.
Works with all 3rd party file managers and photo galleries.
Light and dark color themes.
Google Play link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.majedev.superbeam
Get more, upgrade to PRO:
Get rid of ads.
Change the default saving location to any directory on any available storage (like external SD card).
Send and receive files to/from your computer through SuperBeam app for PC, using QR code or manual sharing key (get it from http://superbe.am) *
Send entire folders and preserve their hierarchy.
Pair devices using manual sharing key. This is particularly useful for devices that do not have a camera nor NFC (like Android TV's).
Share files with more than one device at the same time.
Send unlimited number of files through web interface, with the ability to download them all as a zip archive (with folders too!).
Share SuperBeam APK for those situations where there is no internet connection around. Makes life easier for your friends!
Automatically disable mobile data (3G/4G) connection while sharing with other devices, to prevent them from eating through your data plan.
Be SuperAwesome and support the future development of SuperBeam. This is just the beginning, and we have much more to surprise you with!
* Currently, SuperBeam for PC does not support WiFi Direct. Hence, both your computer and your Android device must be connected to the same WiFi network in order to share files.

A note about WiFi direct
SuperBeam creates an access point using Android's WiFi direct API's. This essentially works like hotspot mode in old devices, but it is guaranteed to work on newer devices like Nexus 7. Moreover, this mode allows older devices to connect and receive files without having to support WiFi direct's peer-to-peer connections and, more importantly, it gets rid of the annoying "accept connection" prompt.
Also, please note that this mode is currently supported by Android versions 4.1 and greater. On older versions, SuperBeam will fallback to the older hotspot mode.
If sending fails
Sometimes, WiFi direct doesn't play well when sending from some devices (especially those that have custom ROMs). Please follow these steps to switch to hotspot (tethering) mode if WiFi direct is causing you issues (on the sending device):
Open SuperBeam scanner.
Tap options > settings.
Tap Advanced settings > Preferred direct method.
Choose Hotspot.
Close SuperBeam and try sharing again.

Thanks for reporting back. I'll update the first post with N4 compatibility.

I can't sell paid apps due to regional restrictions (I'm based in middle east). I will add an option to disable ads in the next release though, and it will be available to everyone
Update:
I partnered with a friend in the US to handle payments. Now there is a paid PRO option available on Google Play. All users who disabled ads will not see them even after the new update.
Hi, I actually liked the way the app was showing that help screen before you added QR code support, kind of a reminder on how to use it.

For new users, a dialog is displayed when the QR scanner is launched showing exactly that. I didn't want to annoy old users with this dialog, that's why it won't be displayed for those who updated the app (coming from versions < 2.0).
However, many users thought that the QR scanner has to be opened on the receiving device when they are using NFC. So I'm releasing a new update today that will show this dialog for everyone when QR code scanner is opened for the first time.
Just found this app right now. Looks promising, thanks for your work.

I've tried between two Nexus 4, both running 4.2.2 roms (aokp and cyanogen). Both got wifi bugged after a successful shared file with wifi direct. We had to reboot to get wifi working again, otherwise wifi went off every few seconds.
Don't know if that's a wifi direct bug on android or the app because is the first time i use it.

Many users reported that SuperBeam works very well with N4.
WiFi direct doesn't play well with custom roms though. I tested it on GNexus ParanoidAndroid rom and it didn't work at all, while it worked very well on XenonHD. Same goes for my Asus Transformer: it worked flawlessly on stock, but caused reboots on Team EOS rom (aosp based).
Could you try using a different kernel, that might help?
Thank you for your feedback.

Introduction
I am a android fan and I like it very much (I came from Chinese). I have ported this rom for my ME722 (Milestone 2 China version) and the project is open source. The rom has some nice advancements. I would like you to try my rom and send bugreports to me. I'm a Java / C++ programmer, but i'm not good at hardware therefor some bugs I can't fix. I have submitted some patches for the CM official, but if you can supply patches for this it will be ok. The rom is world wide language support.

FAQ
1. The media scan eat up my battery.
The major problem is the SD card has too many files to scan. You can create empty file that is named '.noscanandnomtp' under the folders that you need not to scan. To me, I add this empty file in all folders under the root folder of SD card, except the folder "DICM", 'Audios', "Noticifitions", "Alerm". After do the previous steps, you can find the system speed will very quick and no more battery usage.
2. I can not send SMS.

Personal bug:
Clock app fc's all the time, so I can't configure alarm, etc...
I have installed coming from Engle's 10.2 without wipes, so, I have fixed it
by erasin clock app data.
What I miss:
Google Now Activity at the left of the homescreen.
Working emoji and swipe keyboard
To know:
It still uses kernel 2.6.32.9 (3.0.8 is out) and 2.6.0 TWRP (2.6.3 is out)
And maybe Engle_Mars has to change text on updaterscript, because
when you finish installing the rom it says:
"Finished Installing JellyBean for ME722, Enjoy!" instead of
"Finished Installing KitKat for ME722, Enjoy!"
Very good work. Congratulations Mr. Engle_mars
I have been using the rom for a while and I can say It is stable for daily use.

No chinesse characters at all

If you try to use lgcamera the previeww is a horrible split screen, but
photo and videos are taken fine.

and how about the advantages of CM? Because it is an AOSP rom.. call blocking, ota update, etc?
@Engle_Mars
Regarding camera colors...if they are mixed during preview, then changinig in the [email protected] lines:
*udest++ = src[1];
*vdest++ = src[3];
to
*udest++ = src[3];
*vdest++ = src[1];
should do the trick
PS: Good to see you back
I have installed this rom, but lots of settings missing, which is very good in cyanogenmod... Anyway the performance is very good
I think it's amazing how smooth the system is running.
A few Bugs/Issues I found:
- The taskbar isn't transparent (I don't care)
- When pressing the menubutton or long pressing the homescreen, so the wallpapers and widgetsbuttons appear, the settingsbutton has no effect.
- In the settings there is no button for system and launcher.
- changing the physical keyboard to QWERTZ has no effect.
- the bootanimation is boring but it boots fast
- Pressing the camera button doesn't start the camera
I didn't do a lot of testing, but wow, great work, faster than stock GB.
Hi,
Thanks for your work!
Please add the Brazilian Portuguese (Pt-BR) language if it´s possible.
Regards.
Could anyone mirror it on other server please. I still can't download from yunpan.cn, it downloads only 506kB and breaks connection.
-- Edit
Ok, I've found a solution. For some reason Firefox didnt want to download it, but it seems Download Manager downloads without problems (low bitrate, but works).

czechop, my problem is not camera preview. My problem is video play, the red and blue color is incorrect. Thank you for your help.

I have not noticed more system speed or better battery management than Engles' Cm 10.2 but I have more free ram and other thing...
Bluetooth handsfree device works fine!!!! and if you have Autocallrecoreder installed it also records bluetooth calls!!! Awesome!!!!
For being a first release is very good and for me is for daily use. I also miss some improvements of cm but nobody is perfect... I think is good to see Engle_Mars working on AOSP and Czechop working on CM11 so, you have plenty of choice, haven't you?
For those who want some cm apks they can download CyanogenMod App Installer from Google play. The app has the funcionality to download apks and resources from a remote server to your device, and install them as system applications, so you could have:
-Apollo
-Calculator
-Cm file manager
-Torch
-Messaging
-Dsp Equalizer
-Voice+
-News+Weather widget
If you miss notification bar toggles use Notification Toggle.apk from market
Best regards

For my global is supply original and stable Google System for Milestone2. The system should care about system should do. Other thing just let the application to do and it will do better than ROM. I develop the ROM base on AOSP have two reasons. 1. Decrease the work when upgrade to new system. CM add more and more code that we never have chance to use, this is because our old hardware, for example NFC, FM, HDMI, Multiple SM etc. 2. Some application can do better by integrate in system. The other good thing is czechop and Quarx2K still develop base on CM (new kernel, if it's stable enough, I will merge). If there is any good features of CM that I interest, I will merge it. But now, only the LTO need I merge and I have done. It will include in next version.
Guys, please, could somebody who has already downloaded the ROM, upload it to some other server? It is nearly impossible to download from 360 server. Connection is dropped after a minute or so, and transfer speeds are about 1-2 kB/s. Using download manager doesn't make a difference.

Introduction
Gadgetbridge is an Android (4.4+) application which will allow you to use your Pebble, Mi Band, Amazfit Bit and HPlus device (and more) without the vendor's closed source application and without the need to create an account and transmit any of your data to the vendor's servers. (from https://gadgetbridge.org/)
Here I will present you the Gadgetbridge app with additional support for the MyKronoz ZeTime.
The purpose of the thread is to reach some testers, further improve the support for that smartwatch and find people interested in developing or enhance the user experience.

FAQ
Q: Is all data fetch from the watch and stored on my phone?
A: Yes, as far as I know all data gets save to the database. But the data is not delete from the watch so you can sync this data with the offical app too. The database can also be export, see the Gadgetbridge wiki.
Q: Can I configure my watch from within Gadgetbridge, say to wear it on the other hand?
A: At the moment configuration or calibration of the watch is not supported, but in future update this may come.
Q: I found something weird, what should I do now?
A: Please get us a log to show what is the problem, see the Gadgetbridge wiki for help.

Time out screen
Plse consider changing display always on on the watch for watchfaces despite the decrease of batterylife, when you make configuration of the watch possible.
Thnx.
Oh this is what I've been hoping for! I'll be testing this out. My Zetime just sits in the drawer now anyway, so nothing to lose. It's a great looking watch, but with very minimal hardware and very poor MyKronoz App support. Any way you guys can rig the vibration to multiples or patterns?
---------- Post added at 09:39 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:18 AM ----------
The fact you support music apps and not just streaming only is amazing! I can finally use Neutron Player or Pulsar+ on my Note 8! Thank you!
So what's the verdict? How is it working?
Gadgetbridge has merged the ZeTime support. The newest version 0.28.0 will work from now on.
Updated the OP with a new version.
Very good work.
Is there a plan to continue working on this?
I also have a Zetime and would like to help where I can.

The maximal screen timeout value is 18 hours. I've had a short test and waited more than 5 minutes, to proof that it exceeds the maximal value settable via the official app.
I will let the user set a screen timeout in seconds to his/her likings in gadgetbridge.
Sadly the firmware of the watch starts dimming the screen only when half of the set time is up.
well done. will test ASAP. do you think its possible to rewrite the source of the watch firmware to add other widgets?
i decompiled the source of the zeTime app some month ago, but i was not able to find which files where transfered to the watch when a firmware update is available.
do you think it is possible to decompile the firmware and make changes there?

You will not found it in the app itself, the firmware is loaded from a server. If you wish to have a look, here is a link with some firmware versions I collected: https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1L5-We9f1NqJVsOqJPDC06v9bucprxj7h?usp=sharing
The most up to date firmware files are missing... Maybe I will soon download the newest ones and add them. In a Zip-file you find different firmware files. The picture bin files have something to do with fonts, Smileys, background and so on. Then there is the firmware of the main processor. Firmware for the sensors and firmware for the bluethooth chip. It may vary from archive to archive. This is just some guessing.
What one can do is dissamble the firmware file, but you have to know some assembler to do some modifications.
If we had the source, than it would be possible to add widgets.
new update in the download section of the OP.
a few more config options are available... please try it out.
Thanks for update, sadly the download is not working. Always getting 404 not found.
Hey !
I'm just getting back to ZeTime & Gadgetbridge and I see that you've made some really great improvements!
Do you need any help in the protocol reverse-engineering? I've seen that you've managed to figure out the parameters commands, is there anything else I can try to do?

For sure! It is better to have another pair of eyes looking over the protocol. I have copied your work to the wiki of gadgetbridge so we can put everything together we know so far. But haven't got time to update, what I have coded.
Testing new functions if you like.
Used the first rollout of Gadgetbridge that was compatible with Zetime. Very impressed back then. However, last I checked since wearing it a while ago, the bluetooth was always disconnecting/reconnecting couple times an hour. Extremely annoyed at the constant disconnected notifications. Both are sync/bluetooth problems with Gadgetbridge and the official MyKronoz app. And - Yes - my phone and watch are right next to each other or in the same room and I've already tried unpairing/resetting/rebooting/uninstalling all apps and reinstalling.
Anyone else have this problem and/or solutions? If it's the bluetooth chip or other hardware then I may just have to move on to a Galaxy Watch (might do anyway, but I never like to bin perfectly good looking but faulty devices).

How do you know or check for the buggy connection? Just one app should be runnning at a time, otherwise there might be some interference...
Best to do a logcat maybe like this:
Code:
adb logcat BluetoothGatt:D *:S
to only see the discovery, connetion messages of the bluetooth stack. So you and others can see how much reconnections are taking place.
I have attached my log of about 5 1/2 hours. You see at 11:21 I was too far away from the phone to connect.
Further infos like android version, would be good. If the gadgetbridge app have some problems with the connection, then it is best to issue this at the gadgetbridge repo. If the problem is the watch, then only MyKronoz can fix their firmware...
@smaiz
I think MyKronoz did change some time back the way they send notifications to the watch. They have new header codes for email, social and maybe sms, which are divided in header and subject... or anything like that.
Maybe we should also look at that, I may also be totally wrong.
A different big thing are firmware updates and watch face uploads.
I don't really see a difference... But In the protocol description on my computer, there is 2 more bytes at the end of a notification message compared to the one on the wiki. I've noted "always '0200'", but now I find always 'ff00'. I don't really know the purpose of these bytes. Apart from that, I don't see any modification. Did you have any update ? (I'm using ZeTime Petite "A1.0(R2.4T0.3H0.5) (Build 34)", they have different version numbers for ZeTime and ZeTime Petite, maybe there is other differences...)
Also on the updates and watch faces part, I also think this is the next big thing But I think we should first work on the parameters (I don't know where you are on this, is there still a lot missing ?)

Ok, thought there might be... I havn't got an update on this, because it wasn't looking at notifications at the moment. They are working and working on some parameters were my focus.
Some of them are more complicated than others...
At the moment we set alarm reminders, but a menu is missing to set different reminders, MK has 10 different ones minus the alarm. I know it works just the same as an alarm.
I know about setting the time zone, snooze time, text size, language and the metrics, which are missing in the app. I think I know how to switch the night mode background. I hope other parameters are listed in the OP.
I also want to implement a feature not available by the MyKronoz App: Someone might want to set the watch hands some minutes ahead of the time to be not too late or something like that.
Problem seems solved

I was typing a bunch of jargon of software details on my current set-up and also that I have paired the Zetime with an old iPhone and my old Galaxy S7 Edge (currently using a Note 8) which all show the same disconnection/reconnection problems when decided to take a dive into the hardware of the watch and found something very interesting.
Immediately on removing the back plate/heartrate monitor/charger I noticed that the internal battery was installed backwards. The plastic cap that is supposed to shield the battery from the board was put on the wrong side and the metal housing of the battery was pressed to the board with nothing to shield it. As the battery connector was on the right side, I realised that whoever had had the job to put on the battery's plastic plate had put it on the reverse side. I then pulled the plastic cap off the battery and adhered it to the proper side facing towards the internal watch board. After reconnecting the battery and reconnecting the watch backplate back on I've re-paired it to the Note 8 and now ... no more random disconnections!
It's just amazing how a small oversight on assembly at the factory can cause so many problems that require such an easy solution. Its just weird that I thought to take this watch apart before getting crazy-mad-frustrated at software not working and found a solution!
Thanks for all your info mate! I appreciate you taking the time to try and help me out. Cheers!
Hi All,
How can I root a stb, running Android 6.0.1 with no access to bootloader.
I have access to recovery, but it accepts only vendor encrypted/signed update files.
Adb via usb is not available, but can connect using wifi/lan when OS has booted.
Have already tried most one-click apps.
Any crazy idea/help/suggestion is appreciated.
People interested in details, can read the long story below.
The Amazon Prime app on the settop box lags a lot many a times while Netflix and Youtube work perfectly fine. So, I thought of diagnosing the problem using adb logact and found every few seconds, few frames are getting skipped. To analyze the problem further, isolate bandwidth/resources problems vs app problem, wanted to root the device.
This is the first time, I am trying to root a device for which no existing solution is available. I have been trying to root for two weeks now, but no luck. . While the Amazon prime was the reason for this voyage, rooting will open new avenues.
About the device:
⦁ Sold by Airtel India under brand name Internet TV (Not IPTV)
⦁ Manufactured by LG Electronics. Model: SH960S-AT
⦁ LG has published the opensource components used here.
⦁ More details about the hardware here.
⦁ Android Lollypop, upgraded to Marshmallow 6.0.1
⦁ With March 2018 Android Security Update
Here is what all I have tried so far:
ADB
⦁ Device does not detect when connected using USB Male to Male cable. So, no ADB USB.
⦁ However, I can connect ADB using Wifi. (adb connect IP).
⦁ To be sure of the IP, I have configured my Router DHCP to assign a specific IP to the MAC
⦁ I found in default.prop persist.sys.usb.config=none. My assumption, airtel has disabled adb via USB connection.
Bootloader
⦁ If I do a adb reboot bootloader, system restarts but gets stuck on the vendor logo.

⦁ In that state, I have tried many possible key combinations (power button on the box, several other buttons on the remote and usb keyboard), but it stays stuck there, until you pull the plug.
⦁ I have also tried many button combinations in power off state, no luck.
⦁ USB is still not recognized in this state, so no adb or fastboot.
Recovery
⦁ Doing adb reboot recovery restarts the system into the stock android recovery.
⦁ The same screen can be reached by following steps:
⦁ Unplug the box
⦁ Keep the power button pressed, plug in the device.
⦁ After the android logo comes, press Home from keyboard.
⦁ The following options are available:
⦁ Reboot to Bootloader: Same as above, gets stuck on vendor logo.
⦁ Apply update from Adb: Since usb connection/adb is not available, it just waits for a connection and times out. Adb using wifi/lan does not work. I assume, their drivers are not initialized in recovery.
⦁ Apply update from SD Card: I have copied the usual (su binary update.zip) to root of sd card. But it does not mount SD card properly. I have tried SD cards of different sizes, formats etc., no luck.
⦁ Apply update from USB: It was not recognized initially, but after going through recovery logs and trying several formats for the card, now it recognizes the card. I can select the zip file, but it shows Failed to map file. I assume it is not finding a vendor specific signature/encryption
One-click apps and other exploits
⦁ Have tried all the popular one-click apps, Kingroot, Framaroot, etc., no luck.
⦁ Have tried dirtycow exploit. But since the security update is March 2018, none of the known exploits work.
⦁ I am yet to find any POC for fixes in April 2018 or later android security updates.
Update service:
⦁ One system app called OtaDownloaderApp.apk is probably used by the vendor to push OTA updates.
⦁ Pulled the apk and disassembled it to find the url of the update file.
⦁ Downloaded it to understand the structure and explore any other possibility.
⦁ It does not seem like a normal .zip file and might be encrypted.
⦁ I tried the above file as Apply Update from USB from Recovery, it installed the updates
⦁ Now, could there be a way to decrypt/modify the update file to include su?
To add: Since the device is yet to be rooted, no way to extract the boot.img and patching.
Let me know if you need more clarification in any points I have mentioned.

Thanks Umair, for going through the very long post. Breaks my heart, have not reached anywhere so far with it.
Yes, I have downloaded few other versions. All of them encrypted. AFAIK, Airtel does not have other products with android. 160 and 180 are different versions for the same STB: Build v 06.02.61 and 06.02.67 respectively. I assume all others will be other releases for the same STB.
Have also tried to use linkchecker to crawl through the site and explore more links. No luck, seems deliberately excluded from robot.txt.
Add: Wanted to check if the files are encrypted or just a new type of compression (e.g. Brotli). Opened few of them in a hex editor, could not find any common beginning or end. Leads me to believe, these are encrypted.

Sorry brother, missed the notification. Are you asking for the update service/app that i mentioned above? Or the launcher/tv UI app? Let me know.
As far as Freebox is concerned, it does share the same chipset, but the end product looks different. And Airtel probably has done customizations for bootloader and OS.

Well, as of now I have hit a dead-end, with no access to root.
Oreo seems a long way.
Yes! the remote does drain battery really fast. I remember observing in logs that STB tries to check the status of the remote, (such as battery percent, etc) at regular intervals. Don't remember the interval, but I wonder if this is normal/the best practice. This might be draining the battery fast.
We could look into its apk and probably try a patch, but then we wont be able to update it (assuming its a system app) without root.
On a different note, do you also face the following issues:
Remote stops working sometimes. I have to pull out and reinsert the batteries to make it work.
Voice search using the remote is so unreliable. It results in error most of the times.
Amazon Prime lags a lot, while Netflix and Youtube work smoothly. Prime app might be bandwidth hungry.

Dump airtel dth long ago ... using MI tv box 3 (mdz 16 ab) with jio stb apk and livenet tv apk ... now am happy :victory:
ps : u cant bypass airtel internet box subscription
Dumping isn't solution for the money we paid them. And what if we get some idea to install custom ROM and m sure in custom rom we can boot it without any subscription just like a ordinary android box. at present it just works for few min and again it comes to the errors screen that my subscription is over. Don't want to give up so easily. I still have hope.
no custom rom with out money ...
thts why dumping is the solution ...
dont know your box's charachteristics but some have a pinhole push button inside the 3,5mm jack that needs to be pushed during boot to get to twrp
its Dual core ARM B15 BCM7252S soc
made by LG
Can anyone help bypass the subscription check. So I can use the android without dish

i used adblink and removed all the airtel app with adb shell command and the box works as android box now.
No Subscription check no airtel launcher, just google launcher and apps as soon as it boots
