May 2021 security update. - Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Guides, News, & Discussion

May 2021 security update is up for download via OTA and the other methods.
26MB size.
Just installed it, so I can't say anything about it yet, the usual problems with this device usually start a few days later.

Do you happen to have a link to the OTA or recovery image? As usual it doesn't show up on my device (yet).

Google for Xiaomi Firmware Update, and check the website, all the links are there. It's not a scam or anything, it links to the original xiaomi servers. https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/daisy/ bookmark this link.

It could be just my imagination, but it looks like i get massive battery drain after flashing the update. Also performance seems to be much worse.
I already restarted the phone, not sure what else I can do (factory reset is not an option).
Anybody experience this also and found a solution?

Hello. Strangely I find it improved, including in battery life, at least until now.

Ciao, reply in a few days to see how is working, because i am tired of android 9, i need personalization for dnd mode and i want to see if it works good android 10 finally

Does VoLTE works with the current updates (enabling/disabling)?
Background: I still have August 2019 (which works very stable), but our local carriers are stopping 3G service. It seems that entering *#*#-Codes doesnt have any effect, for example for enabling VoLTE. I know that in earlier versions there was a VoLTE option in the settings.

Does VoLTE works with the current updates (enabling/disabling)?
Yes and vowifi also.

Problems with Marshmallow LG V10 H900

Hi, I have been following this forum for a long time but I had never logged on. I commented my problem, although I saw several threads that deal with the subject, I did not see any updated or that I clarify the doubts well.
I'm from Argentina and buy aliexpress LG V10 H900, refurbish, came with Android 5.1. Seeing through several forums I saw that ATyT released an official update to 6.0 Marshmallow, to update via LGUP (via OTA I did not get to be outside the USA). I did not have problems to flash it, but when I started to test the functions, I found that the fingerprint reader does not work, it does not let me directly enter the settings. LG VPN error when starting, does not allow me to uninstall preinstalled apps (restarts the cellphone), among other errors.
Then I found out that you can not go back to Android 5.1, nor is there another ROM to try. I made a complete wipe from the cel options after the update. When I wanted to start from recovery I could never, try with all the key combinations and I could never, it is as if I did not have recovery ... Nothing work for me.
Sorry if the post was long, I hope to solve it and give me their experiences and opinions. Thanks and greetings to the community

I come from an LG G2 and the truth never a problem, to this day it still works perfect. But since I have the V10 several problems have arisen. Now when I plug it in to charge it it marks a crossed out battery, as if it had to be replaced. I'm afraid to get the battery to take it. The load itself lasts little and nothing, has excessive consumption as "inactive phone" (sometimes up to 40% of total consumption), and never gave me more than 1:45 hours of screen.
Regarding the ROMs, I saw on the AtyT page that there are several updates (I have the 90021w), but there are at least 3 more that correct security problems supposedly. It would be a matter of downloading these updates and installing via LGUP, maybe the problems will be solved. I installed the 90021w which was an update, instead there is a ROm that I get ATyT which is the complete one when they made the change from 5.1 to Marshamllow. Maybe loading that (I think it's the 90021v) will also be able to finish with the forced closures and other ... Someone already tried this method ??
consulta.!!!

It looks like this isn't for Android One, right? Dumb question, but is there a way to turn it into A1?

I’m running the firmware linked in the OP, and I’m facing no bugs. USB connections work fine. I thought there were some issues with the fingerprint scanner, but they seem to have been resolved overnight. This is for the XT-1900-1 Retail variant. The update is only available on Retail and Fi on channel “retus” so far, and this thread has links to both the fastboot images.
Thanks
Thanks, works fine here

There is a noticeable improvement in performance after upgrading to Android 8.1, and this update in particular has great battery management. I did some light gaming, video calling for an hour, and extensive streaming and web browsing, all on LTE, and was able to get an SOT of about 9 hours.
Been running this since Saturday on the XT1900-7 32GB/3GB UK
Working fine so far, no problems.
Hi guys. It's this only for XT1900-1 or could it work on XT1900-7 variant (reteu) too?
Thanks!

Caméra KO on oneplus 8 OxygenOs 11

Hello,
I have a problem with the camera which does not work at all since Oos11 (all versions), it works with Oos10 when I downgrade.
A note was submitted by oneplus feedback to the dev team at the end of November but I have no news.
I disabled all apps that used the camera, install another photo app.
When launching Flashlight I have a message "in use by the camera" in the quick access bar.
I have no other idea for a test.
If necessary I've a oem_log.
Thank you for your attention, and happy holidays.

Hello, and thank you for the response.
With all OxygenOs11 versions (betas and stable) : when I launch camera, or other photo applications , and flashlight appli., the screen stays black for a second or two and returns to the application drawer.
I tried in secure mode and removing all apps using the camera, same problem.
When I go back to OxygenOs 10 the problem goes away.

Ok, I think this may come from the OOS 11 kernel. When you updated your device, did you flashed the global version ? Because I have no issue with it whatsoever.
And what's the region codename of your phone ? (IN2010 = China, IN2013= UE, ...)
Model oneplus 8 IN2013 (Europe), bought in France.
I did global and / or incremental, with beta 1,2,3,4,5 and the two stable. Global update is mandatory to go back from beta to stable, and multiple times with wipe everything.
I do not understand that the downgrade to Os 10 fixes the problem.
I have only this problem but very important.
I attach the zip file requested by feedback-oneplus.

Very weird, I don't think we're gonna be able to sort this out by ourselves.
And how does reverting to Android 10 helps fixing this? Well this is my theory, but I think the kernel is broken in A11 and that A10's one isn't.
It's really bothering, so maybe reverting to A10 and wait for the OP response. Maybe contacting their ASS would speed up the process. (ASS=After Sale Service, yea I'm trying to be funny sry about that)
Here's the website (french): https://www.oneplus.com/fr/support
There was a number in it (also french): +33 9 73 72 14 56
Line is open from 8AM to 5PM (8h-17h), Monday to Friday (excluding today, Bonne Année !!!)
Hope this helped you, and again,

Yup, it has french, I use it in France and had no problem with it so far. But with 4G (which I almost never use), maybe you'll experience slowness, or a lack of signal, because the Chinese version hasn't all the french bands
So the model for Europe is IN2023 not 2013 hopefully it doesn't say 2013 in about phone as that may be the problem lol.
If not then it would appear that permission and or a critical part of the OS is absent or corrupt.
If you haven't already then factory wipe your phone.
Are you rooted? If so what mods do you have?
Whilst you're on Android 11 I'd recommend flashing a clean OS using the MSM tool, this will lock your bootloader again but that's an easy fix.
From that point there is absolutely no reason why your camera shouldn't begin to work.
If that fails then yes call support.
One last thing, did the box you got your phone in state in2023 or something else. If it's been rebranded then you have your fault.

Question OTA January update ?

Hi folks, I recently received and activated the gt neo 2 in Canada. Currently it is showing the A.03 version and no further updates.
I believe there is a January update (still android 11 but at least updated security). Is there a way I can force that or is there some sort of push schedule?
Thanks for any information or insight.

General The new C5 update causes lag in some applications

Today my neo 2 was updated and it started to have lag using some apps (twitter, play store...)
I do not recommend updating to this version
I confirm that I've similar issues with some apps, more precisely with the apps (play store, reddit, firefox...) where the screen frequency goes from 120 Hz to 60 Hz.
Same here, after applying the lateste C05 update

Same here on C05 (global) since a few days and it's terrible, some apps work fine but Twitter, play store and a few other feel like they work on 10FPS. Will a phone reset work or is it just a bugfest update ?

Curious question. Do these problems apply to the global version only? I'm on the EU version (in Sweden) and I have upgraded to the C.05 and I don't have lag. Same experience as with C.04 - actually batterywise it seems a tad better (a bit early to say for sure, though).

Curious question. Do these problems apply to the global version only? I'm on the EU version (in Sweden) and I have upgraded to the C.05 and I don't have lag. Same experience as with C.04 - actually batterywise it seems a tad better (a bit early to say for sure, though).

I'm not quite sure. Before downgrade, I am on Indian rom and updated to C.06 and this cause the lag. I decided to go to global rom just in case downgrading back to older version of indian rom cannot fix the lag.
