how to completely remove ipv6 support from android 10 - General Questions and Answers

as the title suggests I can not completely and perpetually disable ipv6 in android 10. I tried with edxposed and custom script but it does not work, or rather sometimes yes sometimes not.
I would like to delete it on the kernel side

For Android, IPv6 can only be disabled if you’re on a mobile data connection. This is because Android does not support DHCPv6 over Wi-Fi by default.

[Q] Random connections in Lolipop

So I've reinstalled a pretty minimal Lollipop rom recently, didn't install any of the Google things and use F-droid exclusively.
From Network Log:
https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdfilter=Network+Log&fdid=com.googlecode.networklog
I can tell what all the connections from my phone are doing and they're indeed what I wanted, except for a bunch of HTTP connections which show up randomly whenever I do anything that is network related, and they seem to be retrying in the background. Network Log shows these are from the process (1000) PPPreferences, to 54.xx.xx.xx:80. From Whois these IPs are owned by AWS and by connecting there directly it show it's their cloud front (e.g. http://54.192.137.127/). Occasionally it would also try to connect to an IP owned by Google (216.58.221.142:80) and an IP owned by my Carrier. These connections would show up if I'm using anything but the "System built-in" logging method. Does anyone have any idea what process or service is making these connections?
Obviously it's not PPPreferences, since I've downloaded the apk for the version for my OPO, decompiled it. It has nothing to do with network and it's definitely not making any connection. So I suppose it is being mixed up with other processes, in AF+ firewall, the following processes got mixed up into the same group:
PPPreferences,
Android System,
DeviceHandler,
Settings Storage,
QuickBoot,
Input Devices,
Phone,
Key Chain,
Settings,
LocationServices,
Fused Location,
com.qualcomm.timeservice
It's not a huge problem because from the connection log, the firewall is stopping these connections properly, but I wonder what it is. If it is related to Google provided services, why would it still creep in when I've gone through all the length of installing a rom without Google Play and Gapp, that's worse than Microsoft or the former Doubleclick in their worst days.

[Q] General Security questions

Running a Samsung Note 8- GT-N5110 rooted with Slimkat 4.4.4 build 9 official as the rom. Kernel is 3.0.64 SlimKat g9913. Firewall is AFWall+. I do not have Gapps installed and get pretty much everything from F Droid. Developer options enabled. Tablet is encrypted. E Mail client is KMail. Browser is Lightning 2.5.1.4
My concern is the number of internet connections from System when browsing. Normally with only KMail running and Sync enabled I will have 4 connections- a couple from system to the local wi fi 192.168.xx on different ports I assume for DNS &c. KMail will have 2 or 3 connections as well. However when I browse there will be sometimes 20 connections from a number of places in the US and elsewhere, Ukraine for example, earlier tonight.
Pretty much everything installed appears to obey the AFWall settings and I am prone to enable a connection for an app when I need to use it and disable it when done. The System connections bother me because I am not completely sure what they are doing. the 20-30 connections when browsing is a larger concern especially given where some of them are- I use OS monitor to monitor connections and also have Network Log from the F Droid site installed as well for more detailed sniffing. What I am trying to do is build a secure platform to use for business e mails to a secure encrypted account. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Granular Firewall that can block on a per connection basis

Is there a firewall app that can block just certain connections from an App? I currently use AFwall+ which is great but it is all or nothing (unless you write custom IPtables rules).
I would like the ability to block certain connections like stopping an app connecting to "*.facebook.com" but allowing it to connect to anything else.
On android versions previous to Oreo, the Xposed module XPrivacy could do this. You could white or black list a connection.
My phone is running Oreo 8.1, is rooted and has Xposed, however I would rather not use a firewall app that uses a VPN to work, as I have my own VPN i need to connect to.
To Summerise: Is there an android firewall that works in a restrictive sense, ideally where it asks me to allow or deny each connection the first time it happens?

OpenVPN not working properly

Hello!
I have Poco X3 NFC with built-in MIUI 12 (Android 10) with latest secpatch.
I didn't unlock the bootloader due to security concerns, so phone doesn't have root / custom recovery.
Problem is related to OpenVPN app, I got the settings file (*.ovpn) from my sys admin, and it was imported correctly, the app even tells me connection was established with no errors, however in fact no traffic goes through the VPN, everything goes through default connection - IP not changed, no access to intranet and internal web resources. On my PC everything works OK.
May it be related to the MIUI specifics? Or is there some Android bug?
Please, tell me if you faced same issue, and it would be very-very cool if someone here knows the solution for this problem.

Question Wireguard Magisk Module?

Hey, has anyone gotten the Wireguard Magisk module to work correctly?
I've installed it and toggled it on in the app - but IPLeak.net shows all my IP addresses as T-Mobile and various T-Mobile server locations.
But if I use the Surfshark VPN app, it works completely, and the only IP is my VPN location.
I've tried using the same Surfshark-Wireguard keys and credentials, and I've tried generated new ones. Says connected but leaks my carrier IPs.
Am I missing something? Is the stock kernel the issue? I thought this was supported since Android 12?
I'd appreciate any help. Ideally, I would like to turn it on once and not have to worry about a VPN app running in the background and the time.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
.
There is a wireguard app on fdroid, you don't need a magisk module for wireguard to work on Android.
