When I searched Application for a fast and smooth management of sound profiles.I found this app called Smart Volume Control on play store.Before this I have used apps like tasker, locale, audio manager Pro.None of those able to do sound profile management as good as this. So I'm posting it here to share it with all you folks over here

I have that app. My biggest reason for purchasing it was the "silence timer" that would, after a set amount of time, turn your volume back up. Can't get that to work on my S III though. When I set my phone to silent, even using THEIR widget to do so, it doesn't ask when I'd like it to go back up. Yet if I launch a camera app that uses the volume rocker for zooming, the volume timer popup pops up over and over and over. So it definitely needs some work. It's a great start though.
I have Samsung Galaxy SIII too and I do not experience this kind of problem. I think this must be some other app conflicting in your phone.

I bought a Sony Xperia J for my wife, all is fine, but it's pretty annoying to have no separate control
for the volume between call tone and message tone.
The ring tone is fine, but the message tone has the same volume and it's pretty loud.
Is there a way to separate the volume control for both somehow?

Go to settings/sound/ volumes there should be a checked box (link notifacation & ring tone) uncheck it.

If I do that, I have no longer control for the volume at all...
Maybe the android versions are different.
..just for info, the version of Android is 4.0.4..
The setings do not allow to separate the 2 volumes level.. that's a bad design.

Search for an app for...
Profile Management
Well, I tried 3 "apps to control volume", none of then worked, even if they had
1 option for ring tone, and 1 option for notifications/message".
It seems that Android, does not allow any app to separate the 2 sounds.
As soon as I changed the "notifications/message" volume, the ring tone for calls
changed too.
I will try "profile management" apps, but I doubt it will help.
The profile manager app did not help either.
Still ring tone and message tone at same level.. same for Gmail, FB and all other apps tone... for incoming messages
U need to use cm10 to tweak ur profile.

Hi.
Before my SIII went to sudden death, I had an Omega ROM installed from around Nov last year.
There was a special setting/app within it which allows special sound/vibration profile.
What's unique is that I can set a Snd + Vib profile which will have both sound and one beep vibration when I receive Whatsapp messages?
(Instead of entering Whatsapp and change the vibration setting to short/long)
What's that setting/app called?
In the newest v44 of Omega ROM, I seem to lose that setting.

Some other functions
- functions for numbers: No reminder, Own sound for SMS, Ring when silent profile, Reject call (Blacklist), Block messages, Vibrate only, Loudly ringing, Loudly ringing in pocket, Save SMS or missed call from the number selected in the calendar, Add a note to a phone number
- option for saving an unknown number after received a call to contacts
- mute ringing with hand on phone (on devices with proximity sensor) - covering the phone or by turning down will mute ringer and vibration

Hi Milan!
I've just tried your app and it's perfect for me (i9070 running CM10.2).
I tried many apps (on android < 4.3) for missed sms (Missed calls message flasher, SMS Popup...), but yours is running best.
I'm not using all the options, just a popup (sms+calls) + reminder.

I've noticed 2 minor issues, but they could be rom-specific (CM10.2)...
1. When a msg arrives while the phone is locked, a default notification message is heard but not the whole 2 seconds (it's the duration of the sound itself), approx the last second of it. Every next reminder sound with the same tone is heard ok.
2. When I activate popup screen and new msg arrives, if I reply through popup actions everything is OK, except - this sent msg is not in my default mesagging app.

1. It's strange, it must play whole sound.
2. Sent messages are saved in default android database (content://sms), it's must be some different things in your phone

Smart Notify Unlock does not work when I move it into system/app. What can I do?
I just want to report that your app works great in cm11 on moto g.
Could you please add more timing details for reminder. Not to be 1 minute, but 15 seconds in the first 1 min, then 60 sec in the first 15 min, then 300 sec in 60 minites... or to be configurabile?

Wileyfox Swift 2+. Android 7.1.2 Hello I have lost the new message notification sound. If I have the phone in my hand I can feel a slight vibration but no sound. Checked volume and sound settings. Ringtone works and so does Whatsapp.

You can try and use this app to download a new sms notification sound and set it using the app
