Can hi6250 ROMs be flashed on Honor 6X? - Honor 6X Questions & Answers

Hello ,
like you've read in the question, can we flash roms from other hi6250 devices like P8 lite and all on Honor 6X?
and most of the time when I try installing even the ones that are tested on Honor 6X, I get the bootloop issue... I think this has something to do with the installation process. So if anyone knows, what is the correct order of installing img on this device?

I was able to flash in a newer build of TWRP from darkjoker for another phone from the Hi6250 family. I got a fully working build up and running Android 11 with the latest TWRP. I was initially dealing with the boot issues that seemed to have something to do with the storage being encrypted. I tried flashing LineageOS 18.1 with it's specified Recovery image and I was having boot hang issues. It started to work after I flashed in a zip for decrypting the storage just one time.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.1 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. Lineage OS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Code:
* Your warranty is now void.
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM

* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.

I have problems booting your ROM. Im running atm on my pralx1 (rebranded to cn) AOSP 8.1. This Treble rom is booting without problems. I installed this lineage img via fastboot and twrp but after the warning screen the device will not boot the rom and restarts the device everytime. Then i flashed the aosp 8.1 img again with twrp and it booted without problems. Im also not able to revert to EMUI 8 btw. Same problem and idk what is wrong.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Edit: v.08.04.2018
Solved. Magisk caused the problem. Only way (and fastest) to solve it, was to load a backup from the same device on which is this Lineage ROM already booting (thx to @Striike) or just no Magisk installed before.
(I tried to install Magisk after booting up this ROM and it caused the same booting issue).
Haky, good job on being on the news feed! Congratulations!
All hail @haky 86
Our little PRA, one of the first devices having Treble Lineage, I am really impressed.

install it same like you install aosp 8, the most important to not wipe system partition of emui8, it's a mandatory to boot. also format data

Did you make a TWRP for Oreo on this device?
Great Work! Just would like to know if there's a way to get the stock camera on this Rom.

Treble TWRP for Honor 8?

I updated my Honor 8 to Oreo, but the current TWRP (https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/development/twrp-t3566563) doesn't flash Magisk.zip properly, and the offical TWRP on (https://dl.twrp.me/frd/twrp-3.2.2-0-frd.img.html) doesn't seem to boot at all.
Have anybody of you made it to flash Magisk with the Oreo version?
Will there be a Treble TWRP for Honor 8??
I've also tried with Huawei P10 Lite TWRP (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10-lite/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-oreo-t3777582) and still getting error while flashing Magisk.
Side note : I use Honor 8 L09C432 (Europe), but I rebranded it to L09C10 (Russia) as I couldn't stand to wait for the European version to release

People Said That This Twrp Works For Honor 8 Oreo Even If Its For Honor View 10, Try It:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/forum....velopment/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3769917/amp/
hi any feedback about twrp for honor 10 view?
Thx
Tried it. Asking for password, the one I use to unlock the screen doesn't work.
TWRP is not recommended to use for treble on kirin devices. Well.. you can try it but there is not that much support like from using fastboot comands on stock recovery
you can download Magisk.apk and then follow these instructions : https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-install-magisk-mate-9-running-t3773878
Try to do it with patience, dont be worried if it fails
This method is running on all oreo based treble roms and even kirin-GSI android P. I've tested the method on my FRD-ALL00, but it will work on any FRD as i know
PM me if anyone needs some additional help

How hard would it be to build and install LineageOS with TWRP on an Oppo A5 2020?

Hello, I would like to install LineageOS with TWRP onto my Oppo A5 2020 however there is no official LineageOS ROM for the specified phone or a version of TWRP for the phone. I was wondering how hard would it be to build a version of both LineageOS and TWRP for my device and install it. I do have some experience with Linux machines if that helps seeing how Android uses the Linux kernel.
Do you find a solution?

lineageos 17.1 gapps issue

hi;
well i tried 19 again didn't back up gapps version and tried 11/arm/pico versions i get error 20 when sideloading gapps and even when using twrp 3 and using install.
any help would be great this error happens in win 11 and linux with latestr adb and fast boot installed.
Try installing it via the latest twrp from the official website:
Download TWRP for lux
Download TWRP Open Recovery for lux
eu.dl.twrp.me
If that doesn't work, try installing it with the oldest twrp available from here:
[TWRP][lux] TWRP for Moto X Play

Also, maybe try some other gapps package, it's possible that opengapps isnt compatible with that lineage version. See if any gapps are recommended on the lineage forum page and use that. Some good alternatives are NikGapps and LiteGapps.
Make sure to try different roms as well, prefferably stable ones such as lineage 17.1 from here:

Try lineage 17.1 again from the above link, but make sure to follow the instructions and read the page carefully, it says that you need a nougat base, and if you are coming from nougat stock, then you need to wipe /data.

Go back to EMUI in Huawei devices

I have Huawei Y9 2019 with unlocked bootloader running Pixel Experince Plus 12.1 and I want to go back to EMUI 9.1 because I saw in some threads that I need to have EMUI 9.1 Firmware installed and kernel 4.9.148 to run Android 13 GSIs but I am worried because I heard that flashing EMUI will lead to relock bootloader (Whatever the method, official or unofficial). Is this true? if so, how can I go back to EMUI without relock bootloader?
Check wether phone is Project Treble ready - what is required to flash GSIs. BTW: Android 13 GSIs ( experimental ) are available since February 1, 2023.

My phone is already supports Project Treble, I just want to go back to EMUI 9.1 (Last time was EMUI 9.0 before bootloader unlock). They say EMUI 9.1 with kernel 4.9.148 required to run Android 13 GSIs, Android 12 GSIs and below work well without any issues on my phone.
