Dead screen, but phone working. How to save data? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello,
My screen is broken, but the phone is working. I can boot and I feel the phone working and recognising my finger to unlock. However, because I'm stupid and I didn't have the "USB debugging ON" I can't access my files via ADB or via any recovery software.
However, I can boot on fastboot and I see my device on "fastboot devides". Can I do something to access my files from there? I don't know... maybe unlock bootloader and flash any kind of TRWP with full adb or something like that.
THanks ¡

You can try QC fire flash tool wherein from EDL (emergency download, You can go to YouTube for EDL flashing) you should be able to flash custom recovery (I recommend Orangefox recovery 11.1). If you are able to flash the custom recovery you can boot into the recovery and get data via USB to your PC. Remember only to flash Recovery.img and not other IMG files

[Q] Screentouch doesnt work. Software?

Hi,
After a serious software problems (crashed with 4.0.3 OTA update) i managed install a ROM, but my screentouch doesnt respond to my touch. The screen and all buttons function very well but i cant put the pin because touchscreen doenst work.
Could it be Software or is definitely Hardware?
Could be software. Have you tried flashing a new ROM (and appropriately wiping beforehand)?
Have you tried to access to the recovery ? Some recoveries use the touchscreen as the TWRP for example

I can acess to recovery sometimes
When it fails push it in PC via fastboot.
Now i cant enter in recovery and cant connect via usb to flash another recovery
I'm screwed!
I cant get into recovery, when i pressed appears a android toy whith a warning sine.
I cant connect to PC, when in bootloader and connect to PC, in bottom appears "fastboot fails invalid command".
I´ve installed a stock rom 2.3.6 and the touch screen doesn´t work to iniciate the phone. Try to install franco kernell but it´s the same situation.
When i can connect the phone to PC i´ve try´de 3 different custom roms and none works.
Going to warranty.
Looks like your touchscreen may have just given up. Everything else is normal, you probably don't have fastboot/adb setup properly and that warning sign is the stock recovery. I'd sort out fastboot and lock the bootloader before sending it in. Also, if you don't have a backup of your sdcard you can mount it through a custom recovery (use "fastboot boot recovery.img").

I´ve format SD card and have nothing inside.
"I'd sort out fastboot and lock the bootloader before sending it in"
How can i do that?
Remember that i cant access to recovery or turn on by computer.
Read the rooting guide or check out NexusSHacks.com, all the info you'll need.
How are you "pushing" recoverys via fastboot if you don't have fast boot set up properly?
Anyways. Speaking of fastboot. Get the official fastboot images for your phone and flash them all. If you still have issues with the screen its a hardware problem.
You should make a full backup and then flash the official factory images (ICS 4.0.4), made for your hardware version, through fastboot. You can find the exact version beneath your battery on a sticker.
If the problem persists after this, it's most likely a HW problem.
If the mobile is not recognized in bootloader / fastboot mode, then connect it to a Linux PC, and then post here the output of the following commands (as root):
Code:
tail /var/log/messages
Code:
lsusb

Phone's bootloader not working

Hello,
I was trying to change file system type to f2fs. For that, i wiped everything in my phone lenovo A6000plus. Then i got out of recovery without flashing another rom.
So now my phone is stuck on logo screen. I connected it to pc but adb doesn't detect the device as there is no rom currently. I tried all the key combinations to go to recovery but it didn't work. However, fastboot detects the device but i can't seem to boot into bootloader using fastboot command. It appears as if somehow i deleted the bootloader. Also i couldn't find a way to boot into recovery from fastboot. I also tried flashing zips and images from fastboot to system partition but it didn't work.
Please help.

URGENT!! Fastboot can't be detected on PC Android 10 Boot slot TWRP

I'm sure my drivers are fine cuz i messed this up via fastboot.
so i got android 10 on my op7p. There were some magisk modules that caused a bootloop. But i cant uninstall those modules without twrp. So i decided to flash twrp into a boot slot via fastboot. then, i set the active-slot to that. but then I still don't get twrp idk why. Now, I can get into fastboot but my pc doesnt detect it, I cant boot into the system either. The only thing my pc detects is when i power the phone off and plug it in, it automatically boots into the unlocked bootloader screen and gets stuck in there. PC detectes an "unknown usb mass storage device". HELP!!!

How did you flash twrp? On A/B devices like the OP7P you can't simply fastboot flash twrp since that will cause you bootloops. To install twrp you have to fastboot boot the image and when TWRP is booted you have to flash the installer zip file. Since you are now stuck in a bootloop, you can try to recover your boot image with something like this https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...isk-patched-boot-image-oneplus-7-pro-t3964345 (no guarantees on this).
Fastboot flash this image and see if you can boot again. If that does also not work I believe the best thing you could do is reset everything with the MSMDownloadTool.
Did you use this command: fastboot flash recovery filename.img?
If yes, you'll have to use MSM to restore it

Need to recover photos from phone - dead Galaxy S6

Hey guys, in a little bit of a dilemma.
My s6, for some reason, cannot pass the flashing "Samsung" logo when booting it up. I have not rooted this phone, nor have I installed a custom recovery or rom. This phone is stock as it gets.
And I need to recover the photos off the phone. Issue is, I thought it would be simple as going into recovery mode and doing adb pull/sdcard/DCIM/Camera or something like that.
BUT I do not have USB debugging enabled!!! Never even turned on developer settings.
I tried to get into bootloader and use fastboot, but fastboot devices shows up with nothing. adb commands do not work, except when I press "install update from ADB", then only the very basic ADB commands work such as adb reboot, adb sideload etc.
So I am not sure what to do from here. Fastboot is not working (I have installed the Samsung drivers from the official webpage, but I haven't restarted my computer so i will try that).
Please help me to recover these photos :crying::crying::crying:
Hi,
If Download mode is working, flash TWRP recovery with Odin.
Go to Mount, select Data partition > Enable MTP and access files from PC.
Recover your data, then flash fresh new ROM https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/guide-tutorial-howto-samsung-galaxy-s6-t4108425

How to install TWRP without USB Debugging and Bootloader Locked?

Hi everyone! Can someone help me install TWRP without USB Debugging and without unlocking Bootloader. Please don't ask why I won't do those things. Just give me a solution.
IMO impossible.
But - IF USB DEBUGGING IS ENABLED - you always can BOOT into TWRP if you want to use TWRP for a single task.
To do so, follow the below steps:
First of all, download the TWRP Recovery for your device from this article’s Downloads section. make sure only to download the image (.img) file.
Next up, rename the recovery to twrp so that the complete name becomes twrp.img. Transfer it to the platform-tools folder.
Connect your device to PC via USB cable and enter the below command to boot your Android device to Fastboot/Bootloader mode
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
Your device will now be booted to the Fastboot mode. Now enter the below command to boot your device to TWRP Recovery.
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
Here twrp.img is the name of the TWRP recovery that we have just renamed to. If you haven’t renamed it, then enter the exact same file name instead of the above.
Once the device boots to TWRP Recovery, flash all that you need to do, without rebooting your device to System. Because once you do so, TWRP will be replaced with the stock recovery. In that case, you will again have to execute the above command

Bootloader locked = all partitions are locked for flashing. Also for flashing TWRP.
