Is it possible to root this device, I was following a thread earlier but couldn't get OEM unlock option to show in developer options.
I was using this as a guide, but don't want to continue if it will just brick my phone.

Hi guys I own a Motorola G4 Play 2016 (Harphia). I am having a hard time unlocking the bootloader for my device. I went on Motorlas bootloader unlock page. Then I followed all the steps to get the string of numbers and letters from my bootloader. Then I enter them in the verify box and it says my device is not qualified for bootloader unlocking. I don't know what to do I really want to root my device. The reason is to install Lineage Os and TWRP. I've tried rooting apps but they fail is that because of my bootloader. Also a side not it says my device is locked status 0. Any help would be great or other wise I will have someone from a root online based company root and unlock my phone. Thanks for the help
I have a Pixel from Verizon and want to downgrade back to Oreo from Android Pie. Is there a way to unlock the bootloader? Attempted to follow the instructions on another page and it did not work. Thanks.
I have a locked Verizon used, when I got it I unlocked using the exploit described in these guides. Now with Locked; Pie I don't see anyway to revert down to 8.1 unless you unlock first. If you have tried the various posts about unlocking and can't with Pie I don't see anyway. Which means Verizon and Google corrected that exploit with revisions to images.
If you took the September security update, then you're SOL for now. Pretty sure Google/Verizon patched the exploit. There was a separate image for just Verizon phones. The last time they did that was when they patched the dePixel8 exploit.
UPDATE: Somebody in the Pixel XL forums said they got the exploit working by rebooting twice after Step 8. Don't have the steps in front of me, but take a look and try them out. You never know.
These instructions worked to unlock my Verizon Pixel bootloader on the newest September 2018 firmware. Then I am able to flash any full OTA image. Then after flashing you can relock your bootloader. Instructions in the link below.
I cannot post links yet so google search "unlock-verizon-pixel-bootloader-870589"
Never relock your bootloader. [emoji849]

Use the above guide. I would reset your phone 2x then follow the directions. I waited 5 mins for oem unlock to become selectable
Hi everyone, I'm looking to root my android 10, Hisense A5 pro CC (HLTE203T).
I've tried the root unisoc tutorial, but it doesn't work . The security update is april 2020 - maybe someone has an exploit.
The OEM won't give the private key to unlock the bootloader (stating bootloader unlocking isn't supported).
Thanks in advance

Do you have access to a Fastboot shell? If yes, what unlock command did you try to send? On my MediaTek phone, "fastboot oem unlock" failed. I had to use "fastboot flashing unlock".

Dualkem might have the solution, I'll just add that if it doesn't work, it meant you needed a unlock code but the company won't give it, you won't be able to go around that unless you use an app that found an exploit. But don't try those app. Usually one-click root apps, even when successfully, are not trustworthy...
You're better with a non rooted but working device instead of a rooted and adware/spyware infested device.
Hello,
As my title states I need a Huawei device currently in the market that allows me to root it. I dont mind If I have to pay for unlocking the bootloader as long as the job can be done.
I already tried rooting a P10 using the short pin methoth to unlock its bootloader. While BL was unlocked I was not able to proceed with root due to its up-to-date security patch ( I guess). I have also a Y9 2019 and an Honor 8X which botloader unlock method was not existing (again, I guess).
What devices are you suggesting?
AFAIK Huawei already in 2018 has stopped permission of boot-loader unlocking.

Hi jwoegerbauer, thank for your reply.
Thats true but I have seen several work arounds. Maybe one specific model can be easier to unlock than others.
Morning, I do not have a Samsung at the moment but have been asked to help a buddy out that has paid to have her 986u1 unlocked.
She has flashed the CURRENT firmware DUDD via odin and has of course lost her unlock, It is my understanding that then newest firmware bypass the security token and are unable to be downgraded.
Can somebody please confirm this?
Will she be able to purchase another unlock as she did before?
Is there any work around as of yet.
I apologize for the questions in advance I have searched but can not find to much info on this and I have been away from the Samsung line and am no longer that familiar.
Thanks!
