I have been using my Xiaomi Redmi 4(running on miui global 11.0.2, android 7.1.2) for almost 2 years now and never have I experienced such strange issues. Here's a list of some:
1)Play store: Cannot download any apps from play store. It says the app could not be downloaded, please troubleshoot. So I read the solutions, cleared cache and data from play store. I even uninstalled updates. When I tried to download or update any app, firstly the download did not start(it said downloading and never downloaded anything). Then I closed the app, cleared cache and data and opened it again(keep in mind this is the old version of play store as I uninstalled updates). This time the download started, but it reached around 13.60 mb/30mb and stopped. Then it said downloading again and restarted the download from 0 mb, reached 14.74 mb and stopped again. It kept looping like this 3 or 4 times and then I closed the app. I tried again, this time it download the whole 30 mb but gave me the error -506.
Chrome: I figured if I could not download apps from play store I would just download the APKs from chrome, but this didn't work either. When I clicked the download button chrome said "1 download pending" and waiting for network when I had a full strength connection. I tried again, cleared app cache and data, restarted the phone but again it showed download pending(I assure you it is not a connection problem). However browsing on the chrome app is completely fine, its just that I cannot download any files.
YouTube(app) keeps signing me out for no reason. It gives me an error and tells me to remove my account and sign in again. I go to settings and try to remove my Google account the remove account button is broken. I have tried to open the app again after rebooting, but instead of giving me the error the app crashes and it says YouTube has Stopped(and keeps stopping). I have cleared cache, cleared data and rebooted but none of that works. Whenever I clear data or reboot and try to open the app, it crashed and says the app has stopped. I have tried to update the app but I cant- both my play store and chrome are broken.
When I reboot the phone the system tells me "android.acore.process" has stopped. I looked up this error on the internet, it said to clear the contacts data and cache. Did it. But this didnt fix the first 3 problems. I have no clue what acore process does.
I tried to play the "among us" video game(i had installed it before all these bugs started coming up) but whenever I open the game it says "insufficient space to download resources". I have tons of space left and this has never happened earlier.
WiFi not working: I click the WiFi button by scrolling the menu from the top of the screen but it doesn't turn on. I go to the WiFi settings and it says "turning WiFi on" but it never turns on. I rebooted my phone and by luck, somehow, the WiFi turned on and I haven't dared to turn it off since.
7)Settings search has stopped: I've been getting this error for quite some months now, and I don't think this is what's causing all the above problems. But I could be wrong, I have no idea
Never before seen strange system issues: I had a game APK saved from before. I tried to install it, it said "problem parsing the package"(I had installed the game from this same APK earlier) . Then I cleared the cache and data of package installer and tried installing, this time it said "insufficient storage space available" when I had plenty left. Please, why is every app malfunctioning? These are my storage stats btw: oh never mind, I tried to click a screenshot, it said "could not capture screenshot". Wow. Anyway, I have 2.39 GB free out of 16gb on internal storage and 25 GB free on my SD card.
I also have McAfee Antivirus Plus(the paid version) on my phone. I scanned and found no viruses. I also scanned with the Xiaomi built in security centre and found no issues.
The only real cause I can figure is that I might have deleted some system files. A few days ago I was on the drives app to clear the "other files" which are a huge mess on Xiaomi, and I deleted a couple of them. Is it possible I might have deleted an important file?
However I saw YouTube tutorials before deleting the "other files", they said it is alright to delete the other files as long as they're not named obb or backup files. Or is this a system bug? I have been on the miui 11.0.2 for about an year and I've never seen this happen before.
I've already called up the Xiaomi Service Centre in my area but they have no clue what's going on. They told me to factory reset the phone but I don't want to lose my data. They also said that if the system has been corrupted, factory reset will do no good but they told me try it anyway.
Can someone please tell me what the hell is going on? Maybe some software developers know which file I might've deleted by mistake, or is it some other bug. Please help. My phone is a nightmare!

Well this started happening last night, but whenever I try to install anything, I get the insufficient storage warning. I've rebooted many times lol. 20gb free on phone. 28 free on sd card
Try running Smartclean
Nope. Also tried clean master. I have so much free space it's insane. I've used 8gb of 54 available. I've uninstalled all apps but ones I absolutely need. Guess my next step is to uproot and go back to factory stock?
When I switched sd cards, Google music gave me a warning it couldn't download music. I was stumped. Went into settings and noticed my old sd card was checked, I had changed it out and selected the new one. Did you swap sd cards?

I have been getting this error today and I have tried clearing app caches and data of Play Store & Services but it didn't work. There is tons (23GB) of free space in the data folder and I have used autostarts to enable every app in every event as I had been messing around with this today (since I got the same error on my SGS once and some totally random unconnected app that I had disabled an event for that caused this) all to no avail.
I am going to just do a wipe and start again as I have tried everything I can think of..
You have to download sdcard fix for kit Kat from the play store and run it. You have to use that app if you have done a factory reset, flashed a rom, switched sdcards, etc. This will fix the problem.
Anyone have a Confirmed fix?

This is incorrect. I had SDFix already installed and set and the message came up. Actually, I reset my phone today for no reason as now on 2 apps it says have updates it is coming with the same message again! Though last time there were more apps needing updates so I am a little further along lol

It worked for me on my Note 3 after I had done a factory reset. It's not the same phone but I figured it would fix the problem.
Ah then u were lucky.
As you can see there is not really a lack of storage in the places where there usually would indicate a problem, usually the data or datadata folders depending on ROM used.

I have tried:
Clearing app caches
LG Smartclean
Lucky Patcher - removing ODEX files
For updating Apps: removing the App's folder in data/app-lib
Clearing Play Store/Google Play Services cache/data then uninstalling all updates
This to delete any bad packages
Moving most apps to the SD card
With no success. It's not just the updates that won't install but new apps too.
*Apparently on Samsung phones you can try *#9900# then 'Delete Dumpstate/logcat'

Sorry my idea didn't work, just trying to throw that idea out there since I had had that issue before. Hope you find a fix because I know that issue is annoying.

No worries. It was expected on my lowly I9000 with only about 300MB for apps in the datadata folder but I just got my super modern G3 with 32GB storage/3GB RAM about a few weeks ago so I expected it would deal with anything thrown at it and I never expected it to have this same problem especially on the stock ROM! Actually I think I had more apps installed on the I9000 and it never came up with this error lol
I think after trying everything I could find online that I am going to flash the stock from from LG Flash instead of resetting as I have done and see if that fixes it..
**UPDATE: Well I thought I would deactivate all Xposed Framework modules...then I was able to install/update as normal! I re-enabled but this time I left XPackage Installer deactivated and it's all working! Perhaps if you have Xposed and Xpackage Installer activated to try this..and to think I spent the whole day resetting, reinstalling and reconfiguring....my initial suspicions were right on it just being some random thing :silly:LOL
This one worked for me
LG G3 5.0 rooted and it worked
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vinny.intsdfixer
FYI this method worked for me for everything except Google Play Services. Thanks to D0MINO I just deactivated my Xposed modules - rebooted - updated Play Services - reactivated - reboot - profit. Thanks!! (been annoying me for days)
I know this has been asked before, but nothing seems to work. Google play simply refuses to download or update any apps, it says downloading, and the downloading progress bar shows in the notification panel, but the percentage does not come up and no matter how long I wait, it doesn't finish. This is on my mother's Samsung Galaxy s3 Mini, 4.2.2, and unfortunately not rooted (unfortunately meaning I feel the problem would probably be easier to fix with root, haha). It works fine on WiFi, I have even tried to "jump start" it by starting an app download with WiFi, then quickly switching to mobile. I've cleared play data, cache, uninstalled updates, stopped/cleared data for download manager, same with play services + uninstalled updates, forced my current versions of google play and play services onto her phone to ensure she would have the latest version, removed and readded her Google account, tried other apps, restarted the phone multiple times during the uninstallations and clearing data, toggled airplane mode, booted the phone without data after wiping Play data and cache and starting it FIRST with WiFi, then switching to data, hit update/install with airplane mode on to force error 923 (mainly to see if errors could still be triggered, or if the downloading bar would continue to attempt downloading), tried a different Google account, force killed download manager while a download was pending for Google play + relaunched Google play.... I've tried everything I can think of except for a factory reset, which is ridiculously stupid if that's the only solution.
Edit: Things got interesting. As a process of elimination, I used Chrome to download a random image online. Same as Google Play, the downloading bar and arrow showed up, but will not download. Seems the problem lies deeper within the download manager.... on a nonrooted android, what are my choices to fix this?
Edit (again): Finally got download manager to download things online, but google play store seems to "lock it up", meaning when I try to install on the play store, the installation never actually finishes, and afterwards download manager will no longer work online for random images and files. It's as if something is stuck.

Try the following:
Update your phone's firmware.
Update Playstore.
Try clearing cache using Recovery Mode.
Use 3rd party app.
Try updating using a specific custom ROM for your device.
If all else failed. Try Formatting.

Thanks for the tips! I'll give them a go tomorrow
Recently I have started getting an error saying Google Play Services has stopped, I have tried clearing the cache of both play services and the play store with no luck.
I have also tried clearing data, rolling back to the previous version & even as a last resort I did factory reset. Nothing seems to be working, now I'm thinking it may be related to another app?
Model: 6+ PE-TL10
Build PE-TL10V100R001C900B141
Play services: 7.5.71(1955121-038)
Play Store:5.5.1.2
Anyone else had this problem? or have any other possible solutions? it's happening every few mins now

thanks for the reply. just had a look at that file. Need root to delete though, maybe thats something to look at next..
Hey,
Did you manage to get this fixed? I've got the same versions as you and I'm having the same issue, its gradually getting worse. Message has gone from being occasional to once every few seconds. It's driving me nuts. :silly:
I've tried the normal tips suggested for other phones (wipe cache, un-install updates, shout at it).
Currently looking at one of the update files from needrom incase its an issue with 4.4.2. Failing that will try rooting and failing that i guess its a factory reset and fingers crossed unless anyone has a brain wave.
I assumed it was Play Services itself, which you can't delete to roll back (and test) but it seems to be an app, which I'd uninstall if I knew which one.
I saw someone else with a 6+ at an event recently who had the exact same version of Google Play services and he's not had the problem once. I get it all the time.
Honor is aware of it, although it's been a few weeks now.
I just went thru same problem, different device, but i went thru two hours of hell, until i finally figured it out..... Similarly i went thru same problem last week on my rooted Lenovo ideapad... And today i couldn't remember what the f¥¢k i did to fix it! Finally, with the error "unfortunately the process gapps has stopped" every two seconds and constant notification about Google play service needing update.... But damn device freezing cause button needs hit ok.... Finally i went and managed to between error message ; get into settings - application mgr - all - Google play services.... Clear cache data manage data force stop.... Them Playstore wipe cache +data, uninstall update....
Then back to main settings page, accounts - Google - uninstall all accts. Reboot....
Then i tried (soon as booted) to go play but it was stuck on weird error - no service (?? Was on wifi - wtf??) so Google search and said i need update and that took me to Google account set up... Reinstall account and you get the Google accept play messages and backup /restore checkbox.... After that all was good to go.... Yeehaw!! * Yipee!!!
Sure that there is probably a beer way to do it but i was cussing up a storm and ready to smash it into the wall! Thankfully i was patient and figured out a solution
I had the same problem twice, and i solve it by :
Uninstall the update of play service in app manager. (Clear cache mayby)
Reboot.
Let playstore reinstall the update.
That's all.
No need to delete Google acount.

I experienced same issue on my Honor 6 plus and it drove me mad. 100 times per day the same message popped up in different situations but I could not see any correlation between the appearance of the message and any specific activity on the phone. I only noticed that the message appeared more often when I used any map application like Google Maps or Nokia Here. I tried to fix it with all above mentioned solutions, deactivated most of the Play apps, cleared the app cash of play services and all GApps, cleared the system cash from stock recovery and nothing helped for more than 10 min. Finally I deactivated Google Now (via Google Settings) and suddenly the popping up of this message stopped. No single error message re-appeared since that (48 hours ago). So in my case the issue seems to be solved for now and finally I'm fully happy with the phone.

I am also getting this error since I got lollipop update on my honor 4 x and now on Android 6 on same devices.
Play store is supposed to do one thing. To download apps into your phone. And it doesn't.
Whenever I try to download smt, the bar keeps going endlessly, and it says downloading, but nothing happens, like actually downloading the damn thing, or showing percentage progress, nothing. If I pull down the notification bar, it says downloading is paused. Awesome. Things I tried so far and that everybody would other wise suggest I do: Deleted cache and data for Play Store, deleted cache and data for Play services, Deleted cache for Download manager, cleared data and cache for Google Services framework, force stop play store, force stop download manager, rebooting device several times during process, deleting Google account, making new account, Factory reset, reset app preferences (which does nothing btw, I don't even know why it's there), changed from wifi to data etc. The phone is not rooted, the memory is not full.
So the quiestion is: Is it just me or Android started sucking big hairy balls since Lolipop 5.0?

Researching online, I have read that this has been a common problem reported for years. After my May Security update, Google Play Store has been acting up. I haven't seen if it does it when downloading new apps, but it constantly gets stuck at "download pending" when updating existing apps. The only workaround I have found is to "clear storage" and wait like 20 minutes for it reset and find updates again. Then it works for a little while (~1 day) and then stuck again. I've also tried removing my Google account from the phone, and then reinstalling it...didn't work. Does anyone know how I can permanently fix Play Store so I don't have to clear storage every day?

I have had that issue as well as missing .01 MB and just sitting there for hours. I try to update 1 app then reboot the update another. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. This was on my oneplus5t stock rom 9.0 as soon as I installed LineageOS 16 all issues with updating cleared up. just restored back to 100% stock and issues again.
