SM-N986U1 debloated - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Questions & Answers

Hello,
Is there available a deblaoted or vanilla ROM or list for this device? I love the device but hate all of Samsung's BS on the phone. Thanks for any insight!

Stock Lollipop theme for S6 ?

So is there a stock Lollipop looking theme for Galaxy S6 ? and if there isn't, do you think there will be one ? Is it possible to create one ?
Thanks
I have been waiting for this as well since I bought the phone. All the ROMs I have seen seems to use TouchWiz.

I'd like to upgrade my Samsung Galaxy S3 to a newer Android version.

Hi guys
I would like to upgrade my Samsung Galaxy S3 Model GT-I9300 from Android version 4.3 to a newer version. Do you have any recommendations?
I don't have anything important on the phone, so I don't really need any backup.

Root your device, then install a custom recovery then try some of the available custom ROMs for i9300 until you find one that you like and fits your needs/purposes. It's pointless to ask for ROM suggestions, they are all different and not everybody likes the same things. You'll just have to try more than one ROM until you're satisfied with what you have.

Thanks Droidriven
I am new to this so I have limited knowledge of ROM available and what the difference between them.
I have managed to install LineageOS v14.1 Android 7.1.2 so far so good.

You're welcome, Lineage is a good choice as long as they have the bugs worked out, if it has too many bugs for you, try some other slightly older marshmallow or lollipop ROMS from the i9300 forum here, they will probably be more developed and stable, your choice though.

I will, so far I haven't experienced any bug. :good:

S8+ Roms 'scene'

Hey guys, I am planning on getting the S8+ and Ive been looking around Xda for Roms for it but there are not a lot of them(stable neither) so my question is why are there not so many Roms and how is the future looking? I always root my phones and like to experiment, so should I buy it?
Thanks in advance, Ray
Which s8+ do you have?

I live in Germany so which ever one is sold here (european)
If you like testing ROMs go with OnePlus 5T, i'm also thinking about switching.
OnePlus 5T is a good choice if you want to use developer apps and sideload mods, tweaks, roms.. etc.
I think if you go with a Exynos processor S8(international variant) you should be ok, as is it has been rooted fully already.
Check this post out for a list of different S8+ variants.

The Snapdragon processor hasn't been fully rooted like the Exynos version. So make sure you get the right model for your location.

Not that it matters in this case but your statement is not accurate. We do have root and it's stable. What we don't have is an unlocked bootloader which the Exynos version DOES have.

Quite so. If you didn't already do it you could head over to Cross Dev or the S8+ ROM forums and see what's available there.
Presently the vast majority are modded Touchwiz-based ROMs, which are quite excellent and offer great customization/battery life etc. If you are specifically keen on LOS-based (or other non-Touchwiz) ROMs there are very few under development, but it seems like quite a way to go yet.

SM-P900 Official Update Other Than 5.0.2?

Sorry to bother with this, but I´d like to know if there is any official update for this great tablet. Can´t believe Samsung did such a tablet (almost a laptop) and never update it. Mine says "all up to date"... But 5.0.2 is way old... Any ideas not involving complicated root actions?
Thank you very much!
No, sorry. Version 5.0.2 is the latest (and last) version available for the Galaxy Note Pro SM-P900. Samsung won't update it any further. It basically abandoned that tablet a long time ago.
After picking one up from Craig's List, I rooted it and put the latest Resurrection Remix custom ROM on it. That's based on Android 7.1.2. It makes the Galaxy Note Pro fly, and really gives it a second life. Highly recommended!

Thank you so much for the answer. Is it worth the root? And can you guide me or direct me to do that?

It's not that it doesn't work well but I guess it would work much better with new version of the Samsung apps and spen features.
I use it to write plays with wps and take notes on my rehearsals. So I could stay on 5 if it is not worth it

Samsung Galaxy S9+ Clone Question (ROM)

Hello,
I got a clone of S9+ and I was wondering if it's possible to re-flash another ROM. I want to do this because security patterns doesn't seem to work and it has some bugs with the UI. Also, is it possible to flash an original Samsung ROM?
Really thanks for your time, appreciate your help !

No, Samsung official firmware will not work.
Is flashing another device's firmware possible? yes...
Is it probable that you'll actually find a compatible firmware? no.
You'd have to identify everything about all of your hardware components and hardware features, then find a firmware for another device that has all of the exact same hardware. But finding a firmware from a different device that has all the same hardware is pretty much impossible.
Basically, you'll be looking for a needle in a haystack in a field of haystacks and then even if you do find a compatible firmware, it will have to be modified in some manner to work on your device.
