Hi, in a week I will already be able to enjoy an unlocked device but I have a few questions. The ARB lock is still there after unlocking the bootloader on xiaomi device? I currently have the latest MIUI 12 version 12.0.5 global. Can I then install xiaomi.eu version 12.0.4? Do I have to watch out for something when installing custom roms? I previously had an Asus zenfone max pro m1 device and installed many different custom roms and had no problems.
This phone does not have anti-rollback protection, so you don't have to worry about that. Other Xiaomi devices do. May have been wrong about that, nevermind
One thing you have to watch out when flashing ROMs is forced encryption, which will wipe the entire data partition (including internal storage) when a different ROM is flashed, so make backups (you can disable this mechanic with a script called "DisableForceEncrypt" but this removes encryption entirely, so think twice before going this route).

I have anti:2 in fastboot mode. If I unlock the bootloader, will this parameter become empty?

ARB value equals to 2 implies you can't flash ROMs with an ARB value less to 2.
ARB value isn't released when you unlock the bootloader, but custom ROMs doesn't updates this value, only MIUI

It also happens to me quite often.
To tell you the short story, I was dumb.
I rooted my oneplus 8 using magisk, but the WiFi didn't work. I had no idea how to unroot a oneplus 8 so I just used msmdownloadtool for my device and got an error "param preload failed". My device is now broken.
What I have tried.
Flashing all files and partitions. (I get an error saying something along the lines of system partition not found, i will attach image below).
msmtool in usb 3 and 2 on Ryzen and intel (i get param preload failed error every time).
What I want to try.
Unlock critical flashing and try flashing all files and partitions again (scared of har bricking device).
What happens when I boot.
First thing I've noticed is boot time has been greatly increased ever since rooting. Without a system rom I boot to a black screen but the strange thing is, that is i hold down power down i still get a stock android power off and reboot popup.
My device:IN2013 European oneplus 8 (was on oos 11)

Please, any help is greatly appreciated. I have only had this phone for a month and a half. Also if you do answer make it very clear as I am fairly new to all this.
I would download the fastboot ROM from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/fastbootroms/files/OnePlus 8/11.0.0-EUROPE-OnePlus8Oxygen_15.E.30_OTA_0300_all_2009301818_e9aef8a82-FASTBOOT.zip/download
And just start again. Don't forget to wipe internal before you flash.
Also, make sure you are in fastbootd and not fastboot.
Hey Guys !
It's been a long time since I left Android mods and a lot has changed since 2015
I managed to lost both the IMEI from my cousin Samsung A12(dual SIM) after tried this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/installing-twrp-and-linageos.4334465/ .
The fault it's on me and not on the guide, I lost the backup file.
I managed to get until the last step before flash the Lineage OS from ADB Sideload.
I format everything and then i couldn't make a connection with the ADB sideload and tried to get back to stock firmware with ODIN.
After flash the firmware i lost both IMEI.
Things I tried :
~ Clean install with ODIN (from the guide)
~Tried to change the IMEI with different apps with root
~Right now I'm trying to install every possible ROM from this site https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-A125F/COS

I thought MediaTek will change but its still the same pain in the ...
EDIT
I managed to get back both IMEI with this version, A125FXXU1AUC3 .
Just to help any other with the same problem.
Best regards,
Leon
Deleted but another alternatives is the downgrade or flash android 10 CP with the last update (This only works with binary 1 firmwares)
In my opinion is so stupid this bug/error and I tink the Knox 0x1 affects this problem (All firmwares with no imei problem has the secured by Knox splash) but is my opinion
What happens is that I used my POCO X3 Pro as factory, with my applications and bootloader closed. A few months go by and I decide to open it to try LineageOS, and I ended up going back to MIUI (locking blootloader, right now my bootloader it's lock). I went back to version 13.0.4 because it is the only version that allows me to install via fastboot. And before opening the bootloader I had version 13.0.8 (I had the 13.0.4, next to 13.0.5, and finally 13.0.8 before to unlock the bootloader). these can only be installed via recovery or OTA (13.0.5 and 13.0.8). But with the menu settings moving forward it won't let me install the update package why it says it's a tester ROM version, and this not happened previosly, I attach a photo for evidence. Someone knows if it has a solution?

Flash whatever is the latest version for your region manually? Via recovery or even MiFlash.

My X3 Pro is the Global version (forgot to mention that detail).
And flash the ROM via fastboot with MiFlash.
Since I had Lineage ROM and recovery installed (both).
So for a clean install I flash MIUI with MiFlash with the option "clean all and lock".

Stable Beta version (13.0.8) can only be flashed through custom recovery unless you are registered as a beta tester
