I have bought Oppo A3 CPH1837 when it was released in 2018, and I can say that still it is a decent phone, but its soooo limited.
It still has 8.1 Android system, there is no root & twrp, and there are barely any results on youtube or google about this phone.
It feels like I am the only one having it and that developers don't even care about it.
Besides that, I wanted to change font, since I cannot see new emojis, but in the settings there are no options to change text style and I cannot change it with other apps because I cannot root the phone! Anybody has or had the same problem? Any ideas how to update the emojis, since thats all I want. Thanks!

Finally got my hands on my G Tablet today. I must have the newer one that Rushless mentioned...mine appeared to be a finished product right out of the box. Even the TNT UI seemed to work pretty well. I think it's got a little ways to go to be "great", but it was pretty good already.
Anyway, I installed TNT light after about an hour. I wanted the Android Market and wanted to see YouTube working. Rooting and installing the new ROM was easy, but it leaves me wanting a hybrid of the two interfaces. Most ROMS (maybe all ROMS?) are put together with the idea of running on a smartphone. The TNT UI from Viewsonic seemed to be pretty well thought out for use on a Tablet.
So, my question is this: Are there any Market apps that would mimic the homescreen layout of a tablet? I can't see staying with the TNT Lite UI because it's just like having a giant cell phone. Reminds me of those giant calculators you buy as a gag-gift for old people!
I like the flexibility of TNT Lite. Choose my own background, no restrictions for apps, Flash works, etc. But the layout isn't really "tablet-like".
What do you guys suggest for apps? Or, is there a way to recreate the panels that TNT has?
Thanks!
i think it may be nice to just find really nice widgets. you'll be able to build it all how you want and still have a fast and responsive ui
Agreed. But so far I haven't found any Widgets that are the right size for the G Tab. Anyone have any suggestions?
Maybe I should ask this another way (to hopefully get more responses ).
Is there a way to customize the stock TapNTap ROM that comes standard on the G Tab? It would be nice to have their panelled layout AND customize the background images, colors, etc.
I wonder how hard it would be for someone to develop a Froyo based ROM that is specifically made for a 10" tablet. I've done a little development in my past, but only Windows based stuff.
Have you tried Beautiful Widgets?
If you want a "tablet-like" UI. You can try one of those HC roms~
a HC rom is the way to go for the tablet-like UI, but search for keywords like "tablet" when in the android market for tablet supported apps

you really ressurected an 8 month old thread to give a guy advice on the UI? Countless roms and launchers have been developed since then, I sincerely doubt that he's still having issues 8 months later.
hello!
Was wondering if there was a way, or an app/hack available to tweak some small ui elements w/out root...
Love my phone, but there are a few things that I don't like at all and want to change, such as some of the colors (ie. on calender)
Stock system, not rooted (yet =]
huawei G610-U200
There are stock themes on the phone, but they don't change the system ui itself, just icons and such (should these themes change other elements as well? My old htc themes did. If so, them maybe that would do the trick- but they are not changing system colors etc.
btw, any chance thre will be a dedicated forum to this phone any time soon?
Also, if and when I do decide to root, I want to make sure there are some solid roms/kernels avail. for this model- so far I have not found much-
Does anyone know of any out there besides MIUI?
Thanks.

XBlast tools may help. But root is needed at first to install xposed framework.
The Gear S3 has the ability to customize the UI font via FlipFont, but unfortunately, the built-in fonts are garbage, and the ones that you can buy in the store are just as bad, with probably only Helvetica and Frutiger being any good. I was wondering if any developers here knew of a way to create your own custom FlipFonts? I know it was possible with Samsung's Android phones, but since the Gear runs Tizen, I'm sure the process would be different. Any help would be awesome, thanks!
I'm just kind of updated my mate 9 to pie, and I want to change the fonts. I don't like the way it's handling bold, and I'm actually not seeing colors on one of my widgets. For example first attachment of a widget shows examples of colors being used to show things are past due due tomorrow at cetera.
The next one shows the widget on this phone with no colors, even though it is set to apply colors.
I don't know if different fonts would fix the color problem, but I do not like the way it uses the font for bold as I find it a little bit hard to read.
Any suggestions?
I finally found some information, I must root the phone. I really hate that.

Did you check the answer on rooting 9.1:

Do you try the application Font Manager for Huawei (Pubs inside and no guaranty from me)
Sorry guys for not replying. I had my email messed up on the profile and didn't get notices.
@zgfg...certainly, at this point, I'm sure you do know we have been communicating on that thread. Thanks so much for your help.
@Mh_EJC ... interesting. Yes, but it wants to side load something in order to apply, so I've uninstalled. But I have tonight found some that will install, even w/o root. Tried that, and tried one that required root too. Given zgfg's help, I am rooted now.
But it's interesting. Maybe my issues aren't related to fonts. I have a ToDo app installed, and on my Samsung Note 9, and earlier phones, I've been able to set colors in it for current, past due, etc tasks.
But on the Mate 9, it doesn't show colors, and in fact all letters on the phone that I think are bold are hard to read. I had expected a change of fonts to cure that. But the new fonts apply, but still no color and still the 'hollow' bold. BTW...same issues throughout the phone, so it's not a problem specific to the app.
Given that applying different fonts don't fix my problem, I may be stuck with this on the Mate 9, Unless someone has some ideas.
Example of the widget with colors and more readable bolds:
Example of one from Mate 9. This one is with a new font applied. The large picture here is easy to read, but on the phone, and if you add a lot of ambient light, it is difficult for that hollow text:
Hello ! New owner here.(cousin wanted my s21 fe so he traded his new op9 to mine) gotta ask is there a way to resize google discover to be the same as the rest of the system ui?
