Fontsize "M" gone! - Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Questions & Answers

Yesterday i tried to resize the font on my Stock Redmi Note 6 pro.
Bootloader locked, not rooted... Global ROM 12.0.1 PEKMIXM
I wondered about the slider from XXS - XXL.
There is no step "M" between "S" and "L".
How is this possible? What happendend?

Manual Miui 8 Install on FDD-LTE Patched Redmi Note 2?

Dear all,
I have fdd-lte patched phone redmi note 2 (Miui 7). I want to ask; if I manually install Miui 8, will this patch be removed?
If it will be removed then whats the safe way to install miui 8 and keep the patch intact. I think OTA update is disabled in my phone because i checked many times but it says "no update available"
Thanks,

Splashes on MIUI 12: Bunnies and no bottom black bar

If you ever tried to use @GokulNC's splash screen tool you've notice some problems: black bar at the top, missing bunny....
Maybe it's because i'm running the global rom? i dunno, i just know that it doesnt work on my device
It was useful for getting rid of the unlocked text, but that's it, really limited speccialy because of the black bar
Apparently at some point stopped using 1920x1080 bitmap images to 2160x1080, but we don't have to create a new tool or nothing, as the Mi A2 community already made one:
[TOOL+GUIDE] Custom boot logo & fastboot splash images
I've been looking for a way to change my A2's splash screen for a while. Tried using tools available for other Mi devices such as GokulNC's Redmi Note 5 toolkit...
forum.xda-developers.com
(download in @dgadelha's comment)With this we basically hijack the original tool by replacing the splash *after* it created with the one generated by the other program an vouilá, a flashable 2160x1080 splash
Edit: apparently xiaomi did a mess, there are some mi a2 with 1920 and some with 2160 as well as some whyreds with 1920 and some with 2160 my guess is that is a region thing, like difference in firmware between china and india versions
anyway if goku's tool gives you headache here's the fix

Poco X3 NFC Global Received Android 11 update and BROKE EVERYTHING

Hi guys,
I have received the Android 11 update and I duly installed it. It is awful. I cannot use Fluid Navigation Gestyures anymore and I am unable to hide the NAVBAR.
The builtin Android gestures are awful, and they ONLY work with the default launcher, so they don't work with Nova Launcher
Right now I am stuck using Nova Launcher with three button navbar, and I hate it.
My phone is bootlocker is locked.
What are my options? I would really like to go back to the last stable Android 10 release for my Poxo X3 NFC Global unit which was Android 10 running on MIUI 12.0.9.0 I think it was.
Can someone give me some advice on what are my options, and most importantly, do I have any options where I DONT have to unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery?
Thank you.

I suspect your only option is to unlock your bootloader. But if you want to return to MIUI with Android 10 you don't need to install a custom recovery. You simply need to flash the MIUI Fastboot Rom with Mi Flash, in fact you can relock your bootloader again while flashing MIUI roms.
Just be careful because you will receive update notifications again and maybe the update could be downloaded and installed again overnight depending on your configurations.

Poco M3 pro 5 g India and other region rom

Recently bought poco M3 pro 5 g.
No miui dialer so no call recording option.
Searched for solution and read that indonasian rom can be installed after unlocking bootloader. So tried to unlock bootloader and will be able to unlock bootloader after 168 hours using mi unlock tool.
Now I just ask to experts that :
Can I lock bootloader while fastboot flashing rom from different region?
If I try to clean all and lock option and unfortunately device gets bricked, will I be able to unbrick?
Any other precaution I should be aware of.
Thanks.
Hi,
Good Afternoon all.
Unlocked bootloader after 168 hours.
Flashed Indonasian stock rom using mi flash tool.
It took 12 minutes for process to complete.
MIUI dialer is there, so call recording is possible now.
Now in setting sub option of About phone it is showing Redmi Note 10 ( and not as poco)
Only issue noticed after 24 hours use is battery drains faster as compared to previous stock rom (India).
Thanks.
