Hello, i just got myself a samsun galaxy tab e tablet, i have never owned a tablet before so i am not sure on this
Is it safe to keep a tablet pluged in at all times? if i keep it pluged in all the time will it affect the battery life?
Also when i dont have it in min or max power saving mode it says batter life is 2d 3 hours? is that good and what exactly does that mean
it also sayd mid power saving mode is 2d 13 hours and max is 7 days 17 hours, what does all that mean and is that a good or bad thing
Yes it is safe to keep it plugged in. The battery on tab e sm t561 is horrible. It's better to move to a custom rom. It gives me 1 day battery life and wonderful speed.
[Discontinued] PORT ROM 7.1.2[T-560] & [T-561] ViperOS V5.1 for Galaxy tab E
clarification this is a port rom, so it is likely that when you connect the device to the PC or via bluetooth it shows a different model, it is normal since it is a hybrid between the original rom and the port the rom it on beta state so please...

Hi I have upgraded ferom the stock rom to the rocket rom i am finding my battery drining right in front of my eyes from 100% to 98% like in 5 min .and thats with the lowest brightness auto sync off and the device on 3g. The previous stock was boring but very good at the battery .
Anybody have any ideas ??? surely a battery at 2,600amps can just last 7 hours ...

Hello all! As you can tell, I am new here, but have been 'stalking' the forums regarding the Galaxy Tab more so the Tab 2 7" version. My husband and I just picked up two at our local Walmart last night. We had the Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 for a while and that was a fun little device, however I found myself wanting a slightly bigger screen. I have been researching a lot regarding tablets and kept running into the Galaxy Tab 2. Battery life standard, according to reviews anyway, has been roughly 7 - 8 hours. That sounds pretty good to me and I am sure I can get better. The standard for the player was roughly 6 hours and I could make it last days, depending on what I was doing obviously. However, I notice that simply turning my device on today after charging fully, once the Samsung screen passes and there is the home screen, I am at 98% or 99%. Is this normal? I am somewhat new to Droid and tablets in general though I learned quite a bit during my time with the player, I may simply be paranoid, haha. Did I make a good choice going with the Tab 2?
P.S. I do apologize if I could have found information regarding the battery life elsewhere.. I found posts regarding battery draining over night, but nothing (that I saw) regarding life after simply turning it on.
Yup seems normal enough to me , I have had mine for nearly 4 weeks and i dont think its ever been a true 100% , even after a full charge.
Obviously the battery will last as long as you use it. If you have all the features on the battery will drain. I'm really glad i purchased my SGT2 7 . I gets better the more i use it and understand it.
This forum is a god send for information !
Its because of the way charging works. It can't just keep pumping juice into the battery otherwise it would damage it, so when it hits 100 it will let it start discharging, even though it still says charging. It will let it discharge until it gets down a few percent and then it will top it back up. This is why you unplug and it shows 99 or 98 or whatever.

If you're turning off the tablet to charge it, and it is unplugged when you turn it on, it will drain the battery booting up. The system sees fairly high CPU usage during boot, plus the screen is on constantly while starting up, so you could loose 1-2%, depending on how long it takes and how long it was sitting unplugged. I generally never shut off my tablet, and always charge it running, so I've seen it sit at 100% for some time.

Hey you can try the app called battery repair it worked for me.if stil not working get the battery replaced
Its normal that it is 99% or 98%. Try DS Battery Saver. I use it on both my devices and when screen is off only about 1 or 2% will be gone after night, even qhen not charging.
I flashed my S2 to MIUI V5 3.8.3 .
Now I have to charge my phone between 2 and 3 times daily!
Batterysats shows me that my display needs 84% and thats TOO HIGH in my opinion.
Please help I am really frustrated right now.
Hello everyone,
Greetings from Buma! The Galaxy Note 10.1 N8013 (Wi-Fi Only) is my first Android device, and I've been flashing roms and doing various other tweaks and things ever since I got it.
However, every non-TW ROM has fallen flat for me in terms of stability, so I've resorted to a rooted Stock ROM which I have de-bloated and flashed the Boeffla Kernel (stable 2.2).
Here lies the snag: performance and battery life are sexy, but I've been unable to get a good Charging Rate.
For instance, it charges 50 percent over the course of 6 hours while turned off.
Boeffla Config V2 says that the charging rate is 1900 (default) and USB charging rate is around 400 (default as well).
Any help would be appreciated as Boeffla has been pefect so far, except for this slow charge...my battery health seems to be good as well, checking through other apps...
Sincerely,
mowgli

It's a used N8013 (coming up on 1 years old) with the OEM charger. And charging is fine on other ROMs (tested on IOKP) and Kernels (Zeus Kernel with stock TW, for instance).
Could it have something to do with my CPU Idle mode choice " Idle + LPA"?
Thank you for trying to help.

How do you measure charging rate?
What ROM do you use (I guess a stock ROM but I need confirmation) when you are using Boeffla Kernel?
Are you also using stock cable?

For more accurate result use Battery Monitor Widget.
Use your device until the battery is lower than 80% (the lower the better).
Why? Because when your battery reach 90% the charging state will become slow/normal charging to prevent battery damage.
Close all running apps
Open Battery Monitor Widget or set it as a widget to make it easier.
Connect your charger.
Close the screen & wait about 1 - 2 minutes.
Activate the screen & look for the charging rate.
Quick Charging : 1100 ~ 1600 mAh
Normal Charging : 100 ~ 800 mAh
Slow Charging : < 100 mAh
Quick Charging should make the charging last around 5 hours from 0 - 10% to 100%
Normal Charging should make the charging last around 7 - 10 hours.
Slow Charging can last more than 12 hours or not charging at all, even depleting your battery while charging.
I perform test on flashed full 4 part official firmware on Android 4.4.2, it happens on custom roms too I used a battery discharging app for my tests(Fast discharge from TAKETAKE) but I have to point out that it crashes not only using this tool, it does it casually, I just used this tool for diagnostics. When I put heavy cpu usage but minimum brightness tablet lasts for atleast 10 minutes(saw no need to continue the test), when I put max brightness only I also get atleast 13 minutes. Combined it turns off in 13 seconds. And it turns off in a special way, like through a fuse. The only way to restart it is to physically disconnect the battery and put it back in(or measure voltage between battery ground and charging port with multimeter when charging, wierd thing). Is it normal or there's something wrong with hardware? If hardware problem any tips would be useful. Battery is relatively new from 2017 judging from the label. Would appreciate any help
By the way on Linage OS it turns off way later than on stock OS
2017 is still a five year old battery .
Note 10.1 is that old its not worth playing with discharging etc .
Judged by your other posts best is probably leave it on last stock rom .
