Here is the bug.
I'm using:
OnePlus 9
OxygenOS 11.2.3.3223
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Chrome
2. Tap Menu
3. Error message
You forgot "here are the logs attached" in the sample my man

If there isn't a log, it's just a complaint.
-I'm on LIR LineageOS Mod android 11 gsi
-My device: Galaxy A20
-Steps to reproduce:
1) Open XDA app
2) Open any forum.
3) Scroll to bottom.
4) it gets stuck with looping loading circle.
Expected behaviour
Forum page number should appear or next page should be loaded automatically.
Don't think a log is needed (correctly if i'm wrong) recorded buggy behaviour instead.

It was a joke, like the logs of trees
Of course, if you are getting an error message,
an actual bug report could be helpful.

Another bug: BACK BUTTON BEHAVIOR
-Open any device or general forum.
-Open a subforum
-Press the back button, instead of going back to previous level forum, app goes back all the way to the general/device forum.
Also: SHARING FEATURE BROKEN
When trying to share an XDA link from browser, XDAapp does not appear in the sharing list of apps.

Came here specifically for this issue. Happens to me every time. The app is slowly getting to were it needs to be and this is now my biggest annoyance.

I've been using a power usage app designed for the N1 called "PowerTutor" for the past week or so (app link, homepage link).
Ever since I've started using it, I've noticed that two apps are constantly using tons and tons of battery, despite me never using them: Contacts and Messaging. Notice in the screenshots below they have been running 100% of the time since my last reboot and using the most battery, more than any of the apps that I actually use:
Left: Current Power Usage (As of this second).
Right: Total Power Usage (Since reboot).

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
These apps never go away. Now, I understand how Android task management works, so the fact that they are running isn't the problem; but the fact that they are using battery constantly seems to be a huge issue, since A) I never use them and yet B) together they have by far the highest power consumption apps on my phone. What the heck??
What is going on here? Does anyone else use PowerTutor?
Interesting find...
Seems like no one dares to comment on this...now I´m curious.
The app must be messaging your contacts in the background...
Or maybe this app drafts a message to one of your contact, then discards it and then drafts the same message to another contact and again discards it and so on....
The tutor in the name suggests that it wants to teach you a lesson... Don't install random apps on your phone and them give it permission to use whatever resources that it wants...
If you using CM ROM so maybe you lock messaging in the memory (CM setting > performance )
I messaged the developer and he responded with this:
It may be related to a bug (it's more of a limitation of the Android API) in PowerTutor. In reality Android gives no way to know what application is currently in the foreground so we have to estimate it using some information they do give us on the priority of each application. Unfortunately the phones I have work with don't have this problem so it's difficult for me to debug. The problem is related to the Messaging and Contacts applications having foreground priority despite not actually being in the foreground.
Try simply filtering out OLED (click on the OLED panel in the application view) to get more meaningful numbers for now.

Interesting...
My question then is, if we were to filter out OLED, wouldn't that mean we'd be missing out on some data (data that is actually valid)?
Though I'm not sure I understand what it means to have an app listed in multiple categories? And what that will do when one category is filtered out.

Hah, thanks for the bump. I am subscribed to this thread but actually uninstalled PowerTutor long ago. It seemed too inaccurate.
I've been working (very sparsely) on a small side-side project, my first attempt going back almost 2 years now. I'd like to do a beta run and get some responses. There are bound to be compatibility issues as well.
The "live" wallpaper (lwp) basically puts our favourite Android on your desktop and allows you to interact with him. The current implementation is still a bit basic. The focus has always been minimal resource usage, which is biggest issue with most lwp. Similar ideas have, obviously, emerged on the market recently - but its all 3D from what Ive been seeing.

}
Features (beta)
No continuous animations hogging resources.
Basic interactions with the Android.
Android will not be pleased if you keep bugging him
Sleep if screen has been off for too long, 2 demo animations activated via left hand.
After a while the will andorid will stop responding, turn the screen off for a while
Settings havent been implemented yet
- FPS is fixed at 50.
- The lwp will "copy" your current wallpaper (if its an image). So first set desired background wallpaper, then load DroidPal.
Known issues
1. There is a "bug" with Android, where ALL touch events get to the app - even if you are tapping icons/widgets. There is a workaround, but it doesnt work in the wallpaper preview, and some devices dont support it properly. [1][2]
2. Sometimes the wp becomes unresponsive (probably related to #1 and the specific launcher used).
If you get a Force Close/Crash, logcat output showing the error would be useful.
DISTRIBUTION OF THIS APP IS NOT ALLOWED OUTSIDE THIS FORUM. PLEASE LINK TO THIS THREAD IF SHARING.
->Download Removed. Beta over, app will in market soon <-
{Mod edit: Thread closed as no download link is available! - Oswald Boelcke, Moderator}
Looking for impressions, problems, suggestions/ideas, etc..
Keep Up the Good work. I am using it to see what is the Look and feel.
But once again credits for such a good project.
Will try
edit: so far so good! not resource intensive; will test over a few days. Thanks

You can try tapping him on the head/body. Or somewhere in top of him.
He will also react after you turn the screen on (probability depends on how long it was off). The beta has 2 demo animations via the left hand.
Also note the "Known Issues" section above regarding touch events.
My girlfriend was so excited playing with him. She somehow managed to make him to disappeared and appeared at other places.
I'm not sure if that a bug or a feature.
^, yes it is
By the way, suggestions for animations & interaction sequences are welcome.
I discovered a bug. I kept switching the phone from sleep to awake repetitively and Android lost his body. Only left with this head and arms.
I had to re-applied the wallpaper again.
LETs FIX THAT

lol thats not my phone number
Hey Sandy, I have a couple suggestions for ya.
First one is a bug. This is sorta hard to explain. Whenever I click intermediate or developer tab, I am redirected to the first tab (which is supposed to happen, Yes I Know That's SUPPOSED to happen) and then I click back, I am taken back to the intermediate or developer tab (which should not happen, what is supposed to happen is that I exit the app). It looks like this.
I click developer...
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then redirected (no picture)...
Then I click back.... And am in developer... (it says intermediate because I took the wrong screen shot)
Another bug is the zoom in and out control button placement. They don't work at all because of the ads (when I press zoom in or out, the ad is clicked instead). But to me they are ugly anyway and I would just take them out (if possible) because they make the app feel like a Web View of the thread, and not native (same for the next suggestion I have, in the context of the app feeling native).
That's it for the bugs, though. Thirdly, personal preference, can you make it so that when I click on "Link to Thread" (or any link at all) that the orange box doesn't surround the link.
One tutorial I hope you add is the "V6 Super Charger" thread.
And that's all I've got, like the app a lot, and there is like so many tutorials on xda that I have subscribed to (even though I don't wanna subscribe) just so I can remember what they are called when needed, and for quick access to, but this app could potentially solve the problem of them taking up space in my subscribed topics and what not.
EDIT: How did I forget this one... Can you add an app icon please? An app without an icon stands out like a sore thumb in the app drawer. (or maybe that is the icon, and is that for a reason). An app icon that came to mind when reading about it was the icon for Cydia tweaks that don't have special icons (the screw driver one).

Thanks for your valuable feedback.
I know about that tab bug.. And i am solving that and the zoom button thing in next release.
Thanx

Here is a quick and easy way to remove the very annoying ongoing wifi notification on the pulldown, even if you are not rooted.
http://androidcommunity.com/how-to-remove-the-ongoing-wifi-notification-on-verizon-galaxy-s-4-20130527/#entrycontent
I been doing this for about a day and seems to work fine. This may not suit everyones' needs as this must be redone whenever you reboot or turn off wifi. Since I do neither very often, it seems to work for me.
Edit:
In the step where it says:
"Hit “App info” (or go into settings > apps > all apps > Android System)"
I simply Hit App info. I did NOT go into settings > apps > all apps > Android System
The app that came up to be force stopped is a 4KB app labeled "Settings" not "Android System" as it is shown on the Verizon phone" .
This is only a temporary measure as the notification returns when connection is lost and re-established. I obviously don't warrant that this works, but thought I'd pass along the info for those who might find it useful.

Yes, I noticed in the article it shows Android System. That is not what is being forced closed here. I certainly wouldn't have tried this if I thought I was force stopping Android System!
The App being force stopped is a small 4KB app related to Settings as you see in the image below.
Anyway, so far it has cause no problems and if it does, I'd just reboot. YMMV.

if you are talking about reorganizing your app icons in the home screen pages,
hold down an icon on the page, press down on a blank space or pinch your fingers anywhere, entering 'Edit Mode' like normally.
select any app at first, then you can manually select all the other icons by just tapping them.
the icons will then show a little blue confirmation dot on its top left corners. after those are selected, simply press down on one and move them from one page to another
thats how you move multiple apps at once in your home screen
If you are trying to rearrange your icons there's a few ways.
If you are rooted you could modify the database representing the icon locations then restart the launcher.

It's a specific phone's launcher -- here: the MIUI launcher - related issue: take note that Xiaomi’ MIUI are among the heaviest modified versions of Android.

Info only:
The MIUI 13 launcher settings database is stored in the launcher's data folder, which can be accessed using a file manager app. The exact location of the data folder may vary depending on the version of MIUI 13 is running. However, it can typically be found by navigating to the following path: /data/data/com.mi.android.globallauncher/databases.
