Lg g7 thinq (lg710pm) to (g710ulm10g)

Few weeks ago i got a LG G7 “UNLOCKED” on ebay, the phone had a sticker where it said model “LGG710PM”, the bad news i was stuck with a FIRMWARE LM-G710ULM (V10b-LAO-COM) MAY 2018. I tried updating the phone via OTA or LGBridge and i had no luck. So i looked online for the correct KDZ file for the LGG710PM and also no luck, So what i did is look for a G710ULM KDZ, but the only one the i could find was the G710ULM10G_00 (https://www.mylgphones.com/lg-g7-thinq-project-fi-stock-firmware-g710ulm10g.html) . So after searching online and watching some videos on youtube if this could work, i found a youtuber video (MAXLEE) he change a FIRMWARE of sprint to a Canadian FIRMWARE and it work he did it on a LG G6. So what i did is try it on MY G7 model LGG710PM“ the only thing is that on the G7 there's a few more steps to do:
1) Download G710ULM10G_00 KDZ file

2) Download LGUP and install (make sure to use this link for download and follow instructions, like this you don't get an error when
you insert the KDZ file and hit START).

A) Make sure you don't have LGBrige installed, if so UNINSTALL and delete any folder of LGBridge after you have uninstalled
(C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics)
B) Download the LGUP zip file and unzip, if you don't have the drivers install lgdrives(The file is inside the folder LGUP-LG G7 ThinQ).
After that install “LGUP_Install_Ver_1_14_3 (1).msi “ file.

C) After installing LGUP you must go to C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP and copy the first three files(CODEFIRE, LOG,
model) from the UNZIPED FILE from step B.
D) Go to file “model” (C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model) then go to file “common”....go to step “E” don't close the
window….
E) Go to the UNZIP FOLDER, go to file WindowsLGFirmwareExtract-1.2.6.1-Release. Run “WindowsLGFirmwareExtract.exe” and select
the KDZ file you downloaded, then make sure you
check on “LGUPc.dll. EXTRACT KDZ.
F) A file “LGUPc.dll” will be created, Copy that file into the folder “common”...... you should had left that window open from step “D”. Rename the actual “LGUP_Common.dll” to
“LGUP_CommonDDD.dll” and “LGUPc.dll” to “LGUP_Common.dll” and then deltate the “LGUP_CommonDDD.dll”.
Open LGUP...put your phone in download mode... select the KDZ file you downloaded from step “1” and in PROCESS select REFURBISH…. Then click START.

SN under Hardware is BLANK that has always been that way.... cant fix that.

I just checked with LGBridge. It still says "Cannot check software version. Please try again". I don't think we will be able to do OTA update in the future.

Yeah, i think its because the firmware is from another hardware and not the sprint.... at least we are not stuck on MAY......

Yeah. I'm glad that we aren't stuck on May patch anymore. I don't remember but I don't think I had wifi calling before I flash this. Now I got wifi calling, so great. Thanks for the great guide.

Great! So is safe to flash then . Besides S/N still blank, any other side effect after flash? I assume storage 64gb still same, imie # still same, phone still unlocked, lte signal better? Good to see wifi calling is enabled.

Yes I guess it's safe it worked for me and also for member hytl. Everything is working fine, the phone is still unlocked, and everything else is the same nothing changes. You get battery improvement and camera. LTE signal it's the same for me.

[GUIDE] Force update using Firmware finder and modded Hisuite

Tested by me by updating from .286 to .311 because I didn;t have the patience to wait for OTA. No data loss(unless you decide to do Factory reset afterwards). Newer versions than .311 might have some certification issues with Google play, but .311 works perfectly for me, so I recommend it.

Do I have to have an unlocked bootloader to update the firmware using this method ?

Updated to .328 (CLT-L29 C432). Everything works without issue...

I was on 9.0.0.195 with no further update. I have registered update .311 with FF and don't know why HiSuite dowloaded and installed 9.0.0.286. Now doesn't matter which FW I register with FF HiSuite says phone is up to date. I reinstalled HiSuite, replaced files and still "up to date". I tried eRecovery method but it says "getting package info failed". My router's DNS is changed to 188.225.84.142 but there is still error.
Any suggestions?
Additional question: when editing windows hosts file do I have to place:
"188.225.84.142 query.hicloud.com"
or
"# 188.225.84.142 query.hicloud.com" ?

I think # disables the line in Hosts. Where did you see a #in the instructions? Looks to me you didn't follow them correctly. They seem pretty straight forward to me

Sounds like you did something wrong. Did you visit http://query.hicloud.com/checkConnect.action after the DNS change to verify you were connected to Team MT server?

Yes, indeed I had visited Team MT site and here are weird conclusions: on mobile which is connected to wifi with changed DNS it says error, but when trying using computer it show positive result. Today I tried again method with hisuite without changing anything and it worked! I have updated to .311 without problem but I didn't change anything. Weird but problem solved

I tried several firmwares from FF, every download is, by the way, very very slow. And when it is downloaded, every time there is "no internet connection, check your network settings. Aarrh

There's no downloading using FF in this guide. You just use it to approve a firmware and download and install it using Hisuite.
Just follow the instructions. It's easy.
OTA appeared for me yesterday and updated to 328 btw, so OTA's not broken.

I don't download from FF. I download from patched HiSuite and I never said that the OTA's are broken. The downloads from HiSuite are very slow.
Indeed it's very easy only after all downloads HiSuite tells me that i have no internet connection but i have a connection

Because. 341 is still not approved to install from Huawei, as soon as it gets the approval, it can be installed.

Have a little patience maybe. Nobody has received it or managed to install it, there are no reports here in XDA. Maybe it's not really compatible with your version. There usually are many files for a certain firmware, there are only 2 for 341, small OTA and full OTA.

Just tried it now and had no problems. Safetynet Test fails though, so if that's important to you may be best to stay on .328

Last update with safetynet working is 345 release, available on FF

In general, you don't need to do this. It is worth using this function if, after flashing, your phone refuses to update via the cloud. In some situations, this may solve your problem.
Note! You can only do this if your firmware archive contains vbmeta.img.

the problem is my phone got stuck at android one logo and the bootloader is not unlocked.
and the only way of using my phone again is to use apply update from adb in recovery.But when i try to update a android 10 zip, it says upgrade timestamp should be higher than 16xxxxx something i dont know what to do.Can you give me an ideas

Where did you download update zip?

i dont think i remember.I downloaded lots of updates from different websites and tried everyone of them.But the same message was displayed as "timestamp is old"

Just google translate the ppompu post but the gist of it is our tablet has 2 region codes. One is the one we can view and change using the dialer method. The other is an internal region code which is now being used by the firmware to check after the update to see if the hw matches the software region. This internal code camt be viewed or changed by the dialer method and has to be edited manually.

im stuck with the first step, my tablet screen show ffbm mode, but i cannot connect with nv items readter writers , always faled... unable to open com9 port, btw i suceeded in method 2 though

I just finished with the latest ROW rom and it runs perfectly.
You can use chrome to translate the page into English.
Here, I failed modifying the QCN by using NV but succeeded with QFIL, and actually, I think QFIL is as easy as NV.
Just backup the file (export the file to PC), modify it (change "01" to "02"), and then restore it (import to tablet).
As the post said, your tablet must be the version 0520.

It's said ZUI 13 is about to come. But, ROW is to my taste. One of the reasons is ZUI 12 doesn't support workprofile (can't use island).
I'm now wondering if there's any possibility to install two systems on one android device.(LOL)

Just an fyi the "internal region code" seems to be of something that was introduced soemtime between 2021 march - sept.
I have 4 p11 2 of which was manufactured in march and the other 2 in sept.
The march models had global roms installed as soon as I unboxed em. Ota upfates wprking flawlessly since.
Spet models on the other hand had so many porblems after instslling global roms until i did the internal region code change.

Where in the file 00000000.qcn contains the serial number of the device? Is it possible to restore the serial number such as on the tablet case, if in bootloader mode the serial number looks like this: 012345678ABCDEF?
Or is the number not in this file?
And how can it be restored?

I don't see anything appear in Device Manager while "FFBM" start. If I only volume "+" and connect the usb cable, I see " Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM5) appear in Device Manager. Is that wrong installed driver?

Maybe. Are you don't hear any sound connected device? Try another USB port, try another Qualcomm driver

Huawei P40 Pro Emui 10 not updating

So about 4 or 5 months ago I downgraded my phone to Emui 10, but afterwards my usb connection to the PC isn't working and I don't have fast charging anymore. Can someone help me update the phone to the last version?

1. Do you have USB connection from phone to computer (to transfer a file)?
2. Your phone is C432 out of the box?
3. Post here screenshot regarding Version from ProjectMenu. (Firmware details in ProjectMenu: dial *#*#2846579#*#* \2.Veneer Information\1. Version Info)
After that a solution can be found.

In my opinion your CUST is wrong. You have 10.1.0.7 and it should be 10.1.0.8.
With no connection to computer you need:
V1: A cable to have connection (described in 2 models here, at no.6) + HiSuite Proxy and downgrade to 10.1.0.121 with this this files:
Then install GMS +upgrade to 11.0.0.2xx.
or
V2. A NM card + a DLOAD firmware to downgrade to 10.1.0.121 ( this file) , install GMS+upgrade to 11.0.0.2xx.
or
V3. Can try with a USB-C OTG + flash-drive+ a DLOAD firmware to downgrade to 10.1.0.121 ( this file) , install GMS+upgrade to 11.0.0.2xx.

I went in eRecovery mode, selected OTG update and it says "Software install failed! The update package does not exist. Please download the package again".
And i think it doesn't recognise the usb

Hi bro sorry to bother you, it's to tell you that I found a way to get back to emui 11 then emui 12 without harmony tp cable or NM card, I'll make a thread tomorrow to explain my method (which I don't couldn't find anywhere on the internet)

No, just via OTG. I found a way to help those who are stuck at 0% on "veryfing update", or those who are bricked with the error message "wrong system" or something like that.. for the moment, I am looking for just how to post a thread on this site! :')
