There is no awesome program. Simple rule is install only that you really need.
it doesnt help at all ;/ what about calibration.

Calibration doesn't improve battery life, it just increases the accuracy of the battery %age detection.
Check Use only 2G networks if you don't have a data plan.
I would suggest getting another battery on ebay, they cost around $3 and are almost as good as stock ones.
At least here in Brazil, with the p920H optimus 3d, there's a thing u can do that improve battery a lot.
Root your phone and remove Remote Call. This program dont let the phone sleep and consumes like 50% of the battery from my tests.
RemoteCall_input.apk
RemoteCall_srn.apk
RemoteCall_starter.apk
RemoteCall_ui.apk
RemoteCall_uinput.apk

I used it with the leaked 21A install.
My opinion
for my ...works
setting date and time automatic disable
accounts and sync background data disable
mobile newtork setting use only 2 g newtorks and disable data
I can't find this remotecall program in my system files I searched all folders with root explorer. But I have the program installed. Weird.
I have had my pixel for just 6 months...After maybe 3 months I had awful battery drain, I did a factory reset and it seems to be okay.
I just went away to tropics for 2/3 weeks and it was HOT. Now my battery life drain is abysmal. It may be just be coiisendence but wow does anyone else need keepin to do a factory reset? I don' really want to go to the effort to do a 2nd reset but anyway...Nothing in my battery stats shows anything hogging my battery life either.
try disabling digital wellbeing, huge improvements for me, also enable adaptive battery if it isn't already enabled but expect notification to not work properly for a week or 2.
Thx you for this amazing Idea!

After deleting digital wellbeing my batty life is amazing.
7,5h SoT and still have left 34%
Bevor my battery life was around 7-8h SoT without having something left.
Thanks you!
Hi, same issue here. even deleted digital wellbeing, no extra apps or anything. I am getting 2 hours screen on time. Also phone heats up when using camera. even did factory reset. Overnight it drains 20% on idle. I don't know what to do. Google support asked me to send in the device for check / replacement. Should I do that? Or is there a solution?

Yes definitely you should! If this happen something is wrong inside the phone
You think the battery time can be fixed if I flash a custom kernel?
So it turns out, google doesn't have warehouse in singapore. They asked me to contact their local repair representative to get it fixed :/

Make a factory reset, don't install any apps and check again.
If it's happening again, claim warranty if possible.

If you unlock your bootloader, the device will be wiped anyways.
You can try to investigate with Android battery history and https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.digibites.accubattery but it's not really detailed.

I don't know. But note the current battery percentage, let the device lay on a desk over night for >6h and after wakeup in the morning check what apps are top talkers in your provided screenshot and note the new battery percentage too.
Then provide everything here

Hey guys ,
I have been getting very bad battery life compared to what others are getting . With careful usage , basically turning off location and using it with only one sim . I managed just about 6 hrs screen on time for 20hrs usage. The sot is heavily boosted by youtube and prime video.
I know the use case is very different for every one but considering this is an 4800mah battery. This is the best I have managed . I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Please share your battery life experience.

I get around 7 hours on 60hz, and i have had to turn off a lot of google service. Not really happy with the SOT in this device. Not even gonna talk about the slow LTE speeds and wifi 2,4ghz speeds.
I am on snapdragon
Bluetooth, wifi/data always on, dark mode, social media mostly, 120hz. 7-9 SOT always with 10% left. May patch. Exynos variant
That's not bad bro. For me, same condition but using both sims, I got around 6+ hr SOT and 36 hr stand-by time.

I did bloatware removal with adb. Maybe that's why I'm getting these numbers
I use some optimization to achieve this SOT (exynos chipset) :
- Turn off mobile data while using wifi (bixby routine)
- Power Saving Mode always active (but still using 120hz refresh rate)
- Uninstal all samsung bloatware using ADB command
- Deep Sleep all aplication which I dont need to standby at background
Yeah the battery life is attrocious, and so is Samsung's service in Ireland.
My S21+ (Exynos) struggles to get *3* hours of screen on time, and after 5 months I am about to issue a complaint with the bank after giving up on Samsung support's incompetence.

Yes i saw it recently. I uninstalled some other apps today. I will see if good battery and performance this week. thanks.
How are you getting 10hr SOT and think it's bad! Even the manufacturers say you can expect a day's use out of today's flagship phones which usually means around 2-3hrs SOT.
A day and half usage if you are pushing it!!
How can you enable Power Saving Mode and enforce 120hz screen?

EXYNOS 2100 Version
I put apps I dont use to DEEP SLEEP as soon as I got the phone always on 120hz Adaptive
Brightness on half sometimes over when I go out
So I've been using the Rog 5 for a week or so. I've noticed that ANDROID SYSTEM has a massive battery drain.
No matter which apps I use, wether it's YouTube, Chrome, WhatsApp or any gaming app, Android System always had a massive battery drain. This can't be normal can it?
I installed Better Battery Stats & Gsam Battery Monitor and found that Android System has got many Wakelocks too. I've attached screenshots for this, if anyone could help resolve these Wakelocks that would be amazing. Also if anyone could help to lower the Android System battery drain please.
On the better battery stats you will notice over 500 Wakelocks in 9 Hours ! Over 3 days that number is over 2000 Wakelocks
On my first full charge i have 6hrs screen on time and 40% left still cycling the battery for maximum performance. It would be interesting to see what apps can be disabled safely and any other battery saving tips people have here.

Although that's decent battery life, it CAN and SHOULD be better. I'm using greenify too btw
Not many with the phone yet lol lets wait and see i got almost 9hrs screen on time first charge.
I tested by watching youtube videos with bluetooth connected sometimes and this was my screen on time
i had 8.30h of screen time with the huawei p30 pro 4200mah battery, a little disappointing for a 6000mah battery

Dont know whether this is happening only for me. I also tried manual battery calibration by draining the battery and charging till 100 after that i even deleted batterystats.bin file manually. Still 8 or 9 hours max.
Should i change to any other modes in specific? Like i am currently in dynamic mode. Should i tweak into advanced and reduce anything? Or you guys are having a sot of 11 hours in dynamic mode only?

Where's this battery.bin file ? From YouTube you should get way more SOT. Look on gsmarena, YouTube test is north of 13 hours
I use dynamic, auto Refresh rate, GPS, Bluetooth, auto brightness all OFF unless I need them. I use durable mode from 20%
Battery stats.bin file will be in root/system folder.

How do I access the root folder?
Also in location settings make sure you have WiFi scannibg off (it will say 'search for WiFi networks, even when WiFi is turned off') you'll find that in location menu. And if you go to developer options you'll come across something which says "Mobile data always active" turn that off too as it wastes battery for no reason.
Last but not least, go to Zentalk forum, Google it, it's Asus help forum and create a thread on there explaining you have high battery drain from Android System. They will fix it if we all report it
I have unlocked bootloader and rooted my my phone. With Root explorer or any other explorer with root permission you can access the folder.
I will disable that mobile data in developer options.
Thank you
I fully charged to 100% left overnight unplugged network standby took 2.5% and Android system was 0.2% and lost all together a total of 3% battery overnight. I think it needs to sleep better than that.
I updated to latest ww global firmware but mine is tincent version if i factory reset will it still stay on ww firmware? i think i need to do a reset. Also how do you do a hard reset via recovery on this is it safe?

It should lose 0% overnight. Android system is the culprit. No you won't lose WW after hard reset and regarding factory reset, I did it through settings as don't know how to enter recovery
Well unless someone reports it they wont fix it so best people report in as stated above ASAP.

I've already done it. I urge everyone else here too, go to Zentalk and create a thread about rog 5 battery drain and any other tissues you might have. I've mentioned battery life, volte not working and I've asked for a option for 90hz refresh rate.
