Can anyone explain why there are no ROM (except Unofficial LineageOS ) for this smartphone. I am a big fan of Pixel Experience ROM but there is no ROM for this smartphone. I can use GSI but that comes with a lot of problems and bugs.
Not enough interest and no dev willing to take it on.

I don't think exynos is the problem because there are lots of smartphones of samsung with same processor but they have a broad variety of ROMS.

These are Samsung phones too! These may be valued more ?! This is still a Motorola device.
Maybe too few have this smartphone. The cheaper moto action is better supported.
Edit:
Well. I just looked around the one action forum. Not really more support either...

hi,
As far as I remember smartphones whom soc is made by qualcomm had the best custom rom support, but recently I saw multiple sources claiming the exynos versions of the S7 are better for custom roms,
can someone help me figure out how well each version is supported?
- thanks a lot!
With the S7, the Exynos is the better supported model
Just don't expect aosp roms on the exynos, only touchwiz.

Is Android 10 Go possible? Or maximum 7.1.2?
I don't mind slowness until it is unusable. Galaxy S2 did it even without Android Go, why Tab 2 can't?
Also how to make custom rom myself?
Update:Installed Lineage 14.1, it is still fast(er than stock rom)
Hi i also waiting
Yeah. Even our ancestor Galaxy Tab 2011 Wifi recieved Android Oreo.

Why Tab 2 no Oreo/Pie/Q?

ooof didnt expect that
but thiss device is ages old and its nice of devs to keep it updating to latest security patches
making a rom is quite hard i guess (tried making one but didnt understand stuff) hopefully if devs want they can make one but i dont think it will happen nougat is still buggy for us
Me too

yeah, it's sad that the predecessor got oreo and GT2 haven't. Oreo go edition would have been the best rom for this tablet and any aging tablet for that matter as it is modern and is easy on hardware with 1GB RAM and underperforming processors.

Exactly the Go versions ars made for Android with less ram so it would go smoothly but idk the devs don't wanna do it and I can't find any good tutorial to begin with:crying:
Someone may know Oreo download link.

Actually it is the fault of the PowerVR Graphics Chip. We will not get Oreo before i9000 get it.

Hi,
My colleague want to buy the neo 3T and interested to try installing custom rom. I don't see the Neo 3T section in XDA and I find Neo 2 and Neo 3T are shared similar specs with very minor differences in camera sensor and charging speed.
I'm wondering if all unlock process downright to custom kernel and roms are compatible to each other, does anyone can shed some lights?
i have same question
+1 attention
I have Neo 3T and looking for answer too ;-)
but you will never get an answer because there is no one here...
Some devs post their roms but never answer questions...
Although they are almost identical in terms of spec, the kernel/IO driver that runs from respective motherboard might be different. Let's say in terms of the battery charging control for both. The kernel will control this component and it is the way it differentiates both models. Even if you succeed on flashing the rom, some component on the software or hardware might crash and cannot work properly.

I don't like Neo 3T. You cant do 120 fps gaming on it, and multitasking is bad. I recommend Mi 11 lite 5G NE
Hi, I like the phone but also I want to put some tweaks like 90hz display, custom roms, pixel 6 camera features(motion mode), kernels...
will we see a lot of development as in the xiaomi poco f1 or not?
thank you
If you have a Xaomi, i recommend keeping it a little longer. Roms for this devive are in a weird situation because the only 2 stable ones are calyx and graphene which arevboth great, but they are both very barebones and kind of difficult if you aren't experienced with degoogling

Yes, adding Bluejay is possible. Whether developers choose to do it is another question.
Velocity will be ready for public release soon. I'm just buttoning up a few more things.
I noticed with the phones I've own, custom ROM seem to get me frequent as the phone gets older and the stock rom releases begin to vaporize. If the phone has enuff hardware power n memory AND there's no more factory support (as in many older midrange Motos). The Moto G5+ and G5S+ had active 'post' communities as did the G6...I got a G7 cuz of 4gb memory figured it'd be a big post EOL project/rom phone BUT I missed the fact that moto was following google with the whole dynamic update w/ dual A/B slots which killed our beloved TWRP custom recovery and nandrive image backup.
BUT is u weren't into rooting/tweaking then that explains why Android Police named it the #1 phone for running LOS! Esp. after Moto released thr Android 10 kernel source code!! This is the main reason I didn't sell/trade it off...and ofc my wife put one of those sky-blue 2pc cases from Poetic and claimed it! lol
Seems custom rom is on the way?(Is any developers take interest on it?š„¹

Over a year since the code was released for the 12 pro and nothing.
The source codes are incomplete for some devices (Confirm by devs I contacted)and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen can also be a problem because no rom also for Samsung or One Plus.

I could not found any AOSP based ROM for Snapdragon 8Gen1/2. So keep using my OnePlus 9 Pro x Evolution X. (and miss my hard bricked Pixel 6 Pro )

Perhaps those other phones simply don't have developers to volunteer their time. I am eventually lumbering my way towards ROM development and am interested in the hardware of the 13.
Coming from a Snapdragon 870 (Poco F3, still solid) that has a host of other custom ROMs for me to practice with.

I personally have an X3 pro, a bit less solid and I'd like an amoled screen
But i'm afraid I'd would be disappointed if i switched, coming from a phone with so much roms (I even have installed windows 11 on it)
Actual Windows 11?! Or is it a home screen replacement for android?

Xiaomi Shows No Interest in Releasing Kernel Source Code of its Devices
Xiaomi is having a good time in all the smartphone markets over the world releasing numerous devices. It is popular for producing budget-friendly phones. It has a great user base in the Indian marketā¦

but
newer platforms all use GKI, which means it's identical between devices, even if the SoC vendors are different.
Not sure that they are obliged to release source codes for vendor kernel modules, those are proprietary.

I will never understand why people ask for AOSP roms so much. Google's material you aesthetic is horrible, and customization is sorely lacking. The best of xiaomi is MIUI.

Its a matter of taste.
I also 'hated' miui 11/12 back in the years, but after i tried miui14 now on x13 i must admit, that pretty much good and fluid UI now. I like it now.

One of the main advantages, not to mention the additional settings, is that you can use an Android version that is no longer provided by Xiaomi.
For customization from A12, it's ugly.
