Hello. I've been with this bug for a while and I don't know how to fix it. Since I have updated to Android 11, I have a bug in which when clicking on a notification there is a delay until the application opens (1 sec approximately). It does not happen with all applications or on all occasions. Through the Oneplus forums I have seen what happens to more people. I have contacted Oneplus support and the only thing they tell me is that it will be solved in an OTA, but I have been waiting for months and they do nothing. I have tried reinstalling the ROM and changing from the global version to the European one. It's probably a silly bug that is easily fixable, but I don't understand much about programming.
Thanks

Hey guys,
I have the chinese B175 rom and I don't get any notificaiton from Gmail, Facebook, Discord etc when the apps are closed. I enabled all the options for notification in the settings but it didn't seem to work either.
So i tried to search on the net and i found 2 ways to resolve it:
- lock the app and never close them
- go on international rom
The first option is battery expensive so no thanks.
As for the second one, i tried to do it but i ended bricking my phone for like 5 hours and it freaked me out so i won't ever do it again lol.
So is there any other way to resolve the problem ?
you gotta play with app permissions and notification settings and keep the app locked and running, i have Chinese version as well and battery last almost 2 days and I can get notifications for whatsapp, gmail, fb, ig and others without any issues
Ok i did what you said and i get notifications now.
I wonder if not receiving notification when the app is closed is a bug or something that Huawei did on purpose on the chinese rom...
Anyway, i hope they fix this in the next update ?
it is a bug, hopefully they will fix it soon
I'm bumping this topic to know if some latest version appeared and if they resolve the issue
Nothing new that I'm aware of. I also lock the apps to get notifications.
My S7 edge is running android 7.0. The latest release of the facebook app will not *stick* the notification sound I've selected under the app's notification settings. It stays on the sound/ringtone I've selected only until I reboot the device or force stop the app. I've tried clearing the cache and deleting the data - no change. I've also tried reinstalling the app - no change.
Is this a bug? Is anyone else experiencing this behavior on their device?
Thanks
In response to my own post -which often happens here on xda- my issue has been resolved. As it turns out, the latest public release of Facebook (v132.0.0.20.85) is seemingly plagued by a bug that reverts the app's user-selected notification sound. Apparently, however, not many folks are upset about this, since there's virtually nothing posted about it anywhere. It bothers me because I like unique notification sounds for each of my apps. That way I can tell which app has received a new message without looking at my phone's screen - it can be handy.
To resolve the problem, I simply downloaded and installed the beta version of Facebook (v133.0.0.16.83). I then tested it, and voilà ... the notification sticking problem was history. It would've been nice had someone replied in this thread to let me know that their installation of the most recent public Facebook app was afflicted with the same bug. That way I could have deduced how to fix the issue much sooner. But I guess it's a lot of trouble for most folks to simply type, "mine does that, too." Admittedly, it's not a huge issue... but it's certainly an irritant.
My chinese Mate 9 with stock ROM running EMUI 9 (which I got through OTA) now sleeps on new Youtube app.
It doesn't matter if the video is playing fullscreen or not, first the screen dims and then shuts off, like when no app is opened and you don't interact with it.
Youtube app version: 14.25.57
Battery optimization disabled for youtube app
All permissions granted for the app
Application start settings manually set to all-enabled (background start, boot time start, secondary startup)
Has anyone encountered the same problem? Any ideas on how to fix it?
Nothing? Nobody has faced this?

Hi Zikabg, many people is having problems with EMUI 9:

https://forum.xda-developers.com/emui-discussion/emui-bugs-and-issues
People report having no answers from Official Huawei, through HiCare or any other means.
I think they rushed Android 9 out because of USA's ban, to show customers we shouldn't worry... but they hadn't polished it yet.
Anyway I want to be able to watch youtube on my phone without having to set screen off time to 30 mins or so
Last YouTube update released yesterday solved the problem. Couldn't find how to mark this thread as solved
Hi,
after updating my HTC U11 to the official HTC Android Pie Europe release, so far the only real problem i found is, that for some reason the commute notification of google maps are now shown as a notification within a notification. Before the updated they worked fine. If you don´t know what that is supposed to mean, see here:
imgur.com/SQ27lSW
So far that only happens to the commute notifications. Pressing on either of the settings buttons only leads to the commute settings where i can disable the notification completly, which is not what i want.
Before the update it was only one notification with the map in a size where you could actually see something straight from the notification.
I already tried deactivating the function and activating it a few days later withouth any difference. I also tried clearing the cache and data, as it is set as a system app so that is the closest i could get to an uninstall.
As far as i know, i can´t really make a useful bug report through the app itself, as it is a notification i can hardyl make a screenshot of with the integrated bug report tool.
I also tried looking at the notification logs, but could´t see anything out of the ordinary with my simple knowledge of it: imgur.com/Fk9U0dk
After living with this "problem" for the last few months, I wanted to see if someone had the same problem and maybe found a solution in the mean time, which lead me here in the hope of finding such an answer
Thanks in advance for your help
Hi.
Last week I decided to reflash my U11, it's a Europe Pie version too, aka HTC__034. I had several bugs, with apps crashing like Google Assistant, the Dialer (unable to type a number or letter) and others. Flashing the RUU went fine and I got rid of those bugs, and even got better SOT than before (from 4 to 5 hours).
Reading your message, I just realized that I also got rid of another bug I had with the Google Phone dialer app. It also had such nested notifications when I received a call. Now it works fine.
So maybe flashing the RUU could solve your problem.
Hi kurtschmeichel,
thanks for the quick answer.
From what i read, flashing the RUU also clears all your data and settings, or did I get that wrong? As this is currently the only "problem" I have, I think I will not take this route as this entails a lot of reconfiguring.
Yes your phone will be "like new". You have to backup ALL your data before flashing a RUU.
I switched from a OP6T after A10 update thinking A10 would have been stable on OP7 considering it launched a while back and may have ironed out the issues but I'm getting bugged about some issues that have lingered on forever..
1. Google Maps / GPS in general would get stuck on the previous location so you'll need to kill Google Maps a couple times before it picks up your current location.
2. Every now and then you can't attach images on Whatsapp. Only way to fix that is to restart the device or kill Whatsapp a few times and it might work if you're lucky.
3. Using gesture navigation with 3rd party launchers still flickers with a black screen before seeing home screen. I understand this is a Google issue but still it is an issue.
4. Company that was super aggressive with their updates has diluted their phone portfolio so bad that they just can't cope up with timely & stable updates. Stable update rollback have been record high for them in the last few months!
5. Multitasking is a joke on OP throwing out phones with 8GB/12GB with capability of holding apps in memory worst than a 4GB phone.
I've been a pretty loyal OP customer since OP3 and this is my 6th OP devices, but I'm on the verge of changing brands because of what once used to be their strength is now their weakness.
Hope things turn around soon for them, and us users!
1. Never experienced that.
2. Never used whatsapp.
3. Didn't know that.
4. Didn't know this either.
5. Or this.
I'm also facing the Whatsapp issue which is pretty annoying as I have to restart everytime when I have send any image
I haven't experienced the Whatsapp issue as yet on 10.0.4, but that's after flashing the latest 10.0.4 and resetting all the permissions.
Also, resetting the permissions seem to have fixed my issues with GPS too.
At this point, I'm glad no major complain anymore.
Issue after update to 10.0.4, notification icon on top left appears only a couple of minutes after the message (noticed with whatsapp). It sounds when the message arrives and the preview can be seen on the slide but no icon. OP7 stock no root. Anyone else?
Other issue since 10.0, if I set more than one alarm in the same day (one every morning and a second only for the evening) a second alarm icon appears on notification bar on the left
