Mi4c, "this device is associated with an existing Mi account...."

Hi,
I have problem with a mi device (Mi4c). It was bricked and I have succed to restore it. "This device is associated with an existing Mi account...." (159****855).
But, it's not my ID account or my friend ID account. Mine is : 279***686 My friend is : 160****427
So, the mobile phone was purchased completly new on Aliexpress (it was 1 on a half or two years ago).
At this point I can't connect my mi account on this phone and it is completly locked.
have tried to install the first Miui 7 rom. I have succeeded to connect mi Miui account. But, after that, I have installed the last Miui version and get the same message!
If i'm not be able to connect my account, I have a message that tell me to give an unlock code to the customer service (Your device is associated with another mi account (159****855))! But this FU***NG device never been associated with this account! :
The unlock code is like that :
2E540***1618
Do you have some ideas?
Thanks!
Finally, I have found a solution.
Need an unlocked device with custom recovery
Step one :
Fastboot mod :
*fastboot -w
*Fastboot erase config
Step two :
*Take the STABLE Xiaomi.eu rom accorded to your device on this page : https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/5-10-15-16.28809/
*Install it via your custom recovery and reboot your phone
Step three :
*At this time, I have not tried to connect my miui account (so, I can't tell you if it work)
*Insteed of trying to connect my Miui account, create another one with an e-mail adress!!!
*After that, go to your Miui account (on your device) and associate your Mi4c (or other device) with your phone number. It's in setting / Mi account / Devices
*Activate "Find device" on your mi account and go to https://us.i.mi.com/ and activate to see if it work.
*After that, go to this page and flash the last rom (Beta or Stable, according to your device) : https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/6-12-22.36929/
*Reboot your phone.
At this time, you can go to your mi account, and it's work (normally).
After that, I have tried to reinstall another rom (globerom) and it work perfectly.
But I have deactivated "found device" before doing that. Now, I'm able to connect the phone with another Miui account. It work perfectly.
Hope it can help others like me!

Maybe the bug will be fixed with Android Nougat.
For now, I have installed the last beta GlobeRom and it work perfectly (I have tried to disconnect and reconnect two accounts many time).
Thanks for ur instructions!!! It works for me but when I tried to upgrade to miui 8 by flashing a stable rom. I still get the 'this device is associated with etc....' Error. How did you disable find device? Thanks for your help!!
Did you do the following steps ?
*After Miui 7 rom installed, you need to reboot your phone.
*Instead of trying to connect my Miui account, create another one with an e-mail adress!!!
*After that, go to your Miui account (on your device) and associate your Mi4c (or other device) with your phone number. It's in setting / Mi account / Devices

redmi6 stock rom full backup before unlocking or twrping

hi, i have a redmi6 cereus (type M1804C3DG 64GB) android 8.1 and i have upgraded from miui global 9.6 to miui global V10.2.6.0 (OCGMIXM) stable.
i have created a miui account and i’m waiting the last days for bootloader unlocking permission.
even if i loose warranty i decided to root it (the idea is to install twrp - the only way i know to make full backups and magisk).
but before i would like to know if there is any way to make a full backup of the stock rom as is (maybe before unlocking or before installing recovery) to eventualy restore phone as it came (if it has sense relocking bootloader and restoring stock rom) to see if in case it’s possible to try not to loose warranty
so is there any way to make a full backup of the stock rom (not in cloud) i mean to an sd card or to a pc to eventualy restore to stock if needed?
I can backup data partition only in LR TWRP. But i can backup everything else in every TWRP for R6.
stuck in locked bootloader

good, tnx for the tip, i'll consider the second then.
unfortunately i'm blocked since more than 3 weeks and i don't know how to come out from an idiot message that says that i haven't used the phone enough.
the situation is this:
redmi 6 (cereus type M1804C3DG 64GB) android8.1
upgraded from miui global 9.6 to miui global V10.2.3.0 (OCGMIXM) stable
the phone is still always logged in the mi account from the beginning when i’ve tried to unlock
spent 15 days waiting unlock permissions but the result is that mi unlock (3.3.827.31 official) tells me is: "Couldn't unlock"
the dispotic reason in chineese ideograms reports: “The phone has not been used for the specified time and cannot be unlocked" 手机使用未达到指定时间,无法解锁 (with the button below “unlock again”)
after theese 15 days i'm still logged and i’ve spent the following 9 days using it more, but trying to unlock gives always the same idiot message
i feel rooked because i'm not the owner of the phone i've buyed
any ideas on any way to unlock?

hey bro this was the key!! successfully unlocked, don't know how to thank you man!!
hey since i'm quite sure to have lost warranty, i'd like to be sure about the steps because reading around i saw that once flashed twrp to make it permanent i should wipe data and to disable force encryption flashing also lazyflasher or no-verifyencrypt so avoiding that at first reboot system re-encrypts again and that twrp will be replaced from stock recovery, is it right?
magisk a part, did you flash something else after twrp?

If you want only rooted system then just format userdata in fastboot then flash twrp and then flash disableforceencryption or lazyflasher then magisk through twrp.

This is a (more updated) tutorial thread made for those who are having difficulties following the guides that were provided by others.
Welcome to the guide thread of Cherry Mobile Flare S8 (series) that I made.
Here, you can learn more about unlocking its bootloader, rooting it, flashing treble GSI images, and flashing custom recoveries. If you have the right device, then this is the right thread made for you.
If you are not a Flare S8 user but you are holding a device included in the Flare S8 series, don't worry because I will be creating a guide for them, too! Stay tuned for more updates.
ADDITIONAL NOTE
Please make sure that you have already read the disclaimer above because we are not taking responsibilities of any kind when something bad happens on your device. As always, do it at your own risk and proceed with caution.
Unlocking the bootloader is very simple. But before that, make a backup of your files first because after unlocking a bootloader, it performs a factory reset.
THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT STEP. AN UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER HELPS YOU MODIFY YOUR DEVICE EASILY. HOWEVER, IT VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY.
YOU HAVE TO UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER FIRST BEFORE ROOTING. (Yes, rooting your device doesn't require an unlocked bootloader, it's just recommended.)
To unlock the bootloader of your device, first, install ADB drivers on your PC. You can choose to install them manually or to install them with ease by using the 15-second ADB installer.
Download the 15-second ADB installer, here.
After installing the ADB drivers, open your device and locate to "About Phone." Click the "Build version" five times to enable the Developer Options in the Settings. After that, go to Developer Options and toggle USB Debugging. After toggling USB Debugging, connect it to your PC and wait until it recognizes your device. If it didn't recognize your device, make sure that the ADB drivers are installed properly.
If you're done, locate your PC to any folder and launch the command prompt (It's Power Shell if your PC is running in Windows 8-10; you can make the command prompt option appear in the menu by clicking shift and the right button of your mouse simultaneously.)
Here are the lines that you'll be required to execute when unlocking your device's bootloader.
First, reboot your device to fastboot.
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
After rebooting your device to fastboot, check it if it's detected by your PC by executing this line.
Code:
fastboot devices
If you can see the serial number of your device, followed by its name in the command prompt. Congrats! Your device is now detected in your PC. (A serial number is like an IMEI.)
Now that your device is ready to be modified, you can now unlock the bootloader by executing this line.
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock
After executing this code, look at to your device and unlock the bootloader with its volume buttons. Remember that unlocking the bootloader voids the warranty of your device.
And then, voila! You have already unlocked the bootloader of your device! You can now reboot it to system and it will automatically perform a factory reset. Since that you have now unlocked the bootloader of your device, your device can now be modified with ease.
Now, if you got tired of customizations and you have decided you want to revert everything back to normal. You might want to relock the booloader.
HOW TO RELOCK BOOTLOADER?
Just enter the line below to relock your device's bootloader in the command prompt.
MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY ATTACHED YOUR DEVICE INTO YOUR PC IN ITS ADB STATE!
Code:
fastboot flashing lock
After that, look at to your phone to make a confirmation and then, voila! You have successfully relocked the bootloader of your device.
Please note that relocking the bootloader requires an official firmware installed, and remember, YOU CANNOT LOCK THE BOOTLOADER WITH A CUSTOM ROM INSTALLED.
First things first. In order to root your Flare S8, you must patch the stock boot image of your device. You can patch it through Magisk Manager. Download Magisk Manager, here.
Before downloading Magisk Manager, make sure that you already have a copy of the stock boot image of your device in your storage.
If you are very lazy to do that and you want someone to do it for you, congrats. You have achieved laziness . You can just download the patched boot image of Flare S8, right here.
Boot Image uploaded by Isaiah Ezra Legaspi.
After patching the boot image, you can flash it via SPFT or ADB on your PC. (You cannot root your device without a PC anymore)
SPFT is more easy than ADB but ADB is more reliable.
Please execute this line when you are flashing the patched boot image via ADB (You will need ADB drivers first + USB debugging toggled in the Developer Options of your device)
Code:
fastboot flash boot <boot-name>.img
If this isn't the answer that you wanted, don't worry, there's an alternative way to root your device. A Flare S8 user, Isaiah Ezra Legaspi, volunteered to create a video in rooting the device so that people like you will be able to root your device easily. Go watch his video, it also has TWRP flashing, so the video is not just about rooting.
Here is his video.
https://youtu.be/Lw7xzTi8PKQ
Notice: After rooting your device, you will see "unwritten tee key" and "unwritten google key." It is because you have successfully rooted your device. If you want to remove it, go to this XDA thread to uninstall any OEM Bloatwares via ADB. Well, the title of the thread clearly says that you will be removing those apps without root. But now, you have root. So, what to do? You can just use any Root File Manager app to remove bloatwares. Root Explorer will do the thing.
In order to flash a custom recovery to your device, you will be required to use your PC again. But before flashing a custom recovery, you will be required to unlock the bootloader of your device first and unlocking it is the very important step of all.
If you are having confusions, TWRP is a kind of custom recovery.
Let's get into it.
First, visit this device thread in phhusson's GitHub Wiki. All stuffs are listed there. (Except firmware, of course )
Cherry Mobile Flare S8 Wiki
Scroll down until you find the TWRP section and download the build that is suitable for your device's Security Patch in your PC.
After downloading it, you can flash it through SPFT or ADB manually.
Or, just flash the latest source-built PBRP for Flare S8 by @loveleyz, here.
Visit the XDA thread down below.
XDA Thread - PBRP 3.0.0 for X930
These are the codes that you will be executing when you are flashing a custom recovery in ADB (Android Debug Bridge)
Code:
fastboot flash recovery <recovery-name>.img
fastboot boot <recovery-name>.img
Please note that after flashing a custom recovery, you will be required to flash this zip file to disable the dm verity of your device and to force its encryption. Flashing this zip file is a MUST.
In order to flash treble ROMs or GSI images, please make sure that you already have a custom recovery installed in your device. You can just look for them in the internet. Since that your device is Project Treble-supported, you can install Custom ROMs much easier without any problems. To install a Custom ROM, download a GSI image, paste it into your device, then flash it on your system partition and then, voila! You have managed to install a Custom ROM to your device! Since that Custom ROMs don't come with G-Apps (or Google Apps), you have to install them manually. Download a package from http://opengapps.org and flash it to your recovery.
If you want to gain some hints about where to find the ROMs and what are the tested ROMs, you can always visit the Flare S8 Wiki page in phhusson's treble experimentations in GitHub at anytime.
Cherry Mobile Flare S8 Wiki
Also, if you don't have some 'time,' you can just scroll down and look for the ROM links that I provided. I will try to provide more as much as possible.

• AOSP 10 GSI by @phhusson - Link
• Havoc OS v6.6 GSI by @Aryan Patidar - Link

If any of these ROMs didn't suit your taste, you can actually just search the ROM that you want through the internet and make sure that it meets the requirements so that it will boot on your device without any problems.
More ROMs to be tested soon! I will provide links as much as possible. Keep tuned!
Please help me gather more ROM links by replying them in this thread.
That's it, folks! This is the end of the thread. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comment section.

My Flare S8 updated the OS and something went wrong. the screen is now black with green vertical lines and I cannot see the cherry mobile logo on startup. (audio only)
Can anyone help me with this? appreciate if there is a step by step instruction and/or video resolving my issue.

Try this one. It's only for those who are encountering black screen issues with their devices so unnecessary files are already removed to avoid confusion. A scatter file is also in there, so that you'll just have to use it without changing a thing.
Don't forget that you should only use the "Download Only" option in SP Flash Tool. Don't ever change it. Always use the default option in order to avoid IMEI losing, Preloader corruption, etc.
Credits again goes to Alfredo Cortez for uploading it in his Flare S8 Dev.
Please give me a thanks if I helped you. Thank you.

Hello, blissakiara. I'm thinking that the issue is about the proximity sensor of your device. If you have a tempered glass installed, please make sure that you have installed it correctly and don't let it take over the proximity sensor.
If I'm mistaken, you might want to join the official Facebook group of Cherry Mobile users, there you can get a lot of support from its Tech Support, its staff, etc.
I cannot put a link to it right now but I assume that its name was "Cherry Mobile PH Official."

Question how to unlock my bricked Redmi Note 11 Pro 5g (China:Pissarro) Bootloader

hi, i updated my phone to MIUI 13.0.3 android 12 and i've noticed a bug that made all the apps that are using the camera like instagram and snapchat take blurry pictures like an effect getting applied to the pictures taken by those apps (everything normal in my stock camera app) so i decided to use MiFlash tool to flash the previous android version on my phone but i bricked my phone instead i flashed a global rom while my phone is the chinese market version and accidently checked the ClearData+lock Device check box in MiFlash. the tool flashed the rom successfully but when the phone restarted it showed me a message saying that this rom cannot be installed on this device in recovery mode i couldn't do anything after cuz the bootloader got locked too T i tried everything to unlock it (mtk Client - bootloader unlocker+ adb fastboot + Xiaomi Unlock app ...). please help me is there any way i can fix my phone and what is the righ Rom to flash on my phone (Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G China (21091116C - Pissarro). thnx
friend I'm not a star I tell you how things are 1) you can't go back with another Rom only china 2) anti-roll-back 3) MiCloud you have to disable it you can try MiflashV2 there is also to unlock the bootloader it does everything even the firmware remember if the firmware does not start. important not only china also not china for updates remember first you do the factory reset put google account do not update any app except google drive backup with drive if it has arrived update it is better by setting the time instead of downloading the package the problem is when the update occurs it fails to close all active apps and then there is MiCloud that blocks. Best wishes and good luck and that I have little time for me too much trouble here in Europe.

currently my phone is stuck at the logo and after seconds it loads Fastboot automatically i cant access the phone os to do anything i used the xiaomi bootloader unlocker app that works online but it didnt work . the local cell phone service shops told that they have to open the phones back case to fix it ... i dont want that i've just bought the phone didnt even use it for a whole month
they don't have to open it they use licensed or dongle software (USB type) currently I use unlocktoll.net but if the phone is under warranty and you haven't removed the bootloader before it is better for you. It is possible that others have the same problem as you. Good luck

Rule number 1 for Xiaomi never flash anything on Mediatek devices, it will fail. If messed up, no way back as Xiaomi locks the devices for autorized service providers or local Xiaomi branches only. If you want to play with Xiaomi custom roms/development/etc. related only buy Snapdragon based devices.
I i.e. learned it the hard way, when this all started with the Redmi Note 8 Pro, I bricked it by flashing twrp in Android 11 and Xiaomi didn't want to repair it, so I had to pay some russian guy to fix it via Teamviewer with a modified unlock tool which was able to answer the unlock requests by pasting the answer manually from a generator. It's not like I messed up at a point, it's just that Mediatek devices easily fall in a unrecoverable state. In my term it was the combination of Android version and twrp. You will note there is no Mediatek support on xda and even when your device is named like a Snapdragon version, your device is offtopic here, because trying anything on it beyond unlocking the bootloader is harakiri
how to unlock my bricked Redmi Note 11 Pro 5g (Chinaissarro) Bootloader
Congratulation. Brick without unlocked BL :/
my opinion: you are done....
Some Xiaomi devices have pins on motherboard to
switch EDL, but i dont know with this device.
Try complaint and say something like: "my phone was upgraded and then i see only logo"

I did the same with my device. You can fix it using the MTK tools guide. Its lengthy but easy.

rule #1 with Xiaomi - bootloader is unlocked

HCU Unlocking credits (no longer) available

I accidentally purchased credits for dc-unlocker/HCU instead of the three day option (which I have since purchased and used to unlock my bootloader using a hardware TP) so if these are of any use to someone else let me know.
Hello. Can i use that to unlock my P20 Pro?

Unfortunately they're no longer available, but you can use the same software to unlock the P20 Pro like I did. It's a little bit of a process, but I've got notes from when I did it if you are interested and I think I spent about 20 EUR for the 3 day licence of dc-unlocker/HCU. In the end I did it with the hardware test point because my back cover was loose and I intended to replace the battery anyway (it was bulging)

Can you tell me the process please. I was thinking of buying the 3 day license or MOS but i don't know if I can do it or not (don't have any expertise on anything hardware related)

I unlocked my P20 Pro using a hardware testpoint, the HCU software, and a lot of time. I would suggest reading the information below, gathering all the tools/software/ROMS/IMGS you need and asking any questions before you purchase a licence or attempt this process.
WARNING!!!! THIS WILL ERASE YOUR PHONE COMPLETELY!!!
I would suggest making sure if you are going to purchase the 3 day license (this is what I did) that you are available to work on the phone for a couple of days (maybe buy it just before the weekend?) as if you run into any issues you won't have much time to fix them.
WARNING!!!! THIS WILL ERASE YOUR PHONE COMPLETELY!!!
BE CAREFUL TO PURCHASE THE THREE DAY LICENSE AT THE CHECKOUT NOT THE CREDITS (I MADE THIS MISTAKE AS YOU CAN PROBABLY TELL FROM THIS THRED)
Otherwise, the steps I went through are below, as well as some of the links to things I found helpful during the process:
1. SOFTWARE VERSION - It was not possible to unlock the bootloader on version 10 of the OS, so you will require HiSuite (https://consumer.huawei.com/au/support/hisuite/) to downgrade or dc-phoenix to flash an earlier version. I used 9.0.0.168 for my phone (Model: CLT-L29) so will reference that in all the steps below, but use the corresponding version for your phone (whichever you downgrade to from HiSuite should be fine?)
2. TESTPOINT - I used the hardware test point (next to the camera once the back cover is removed) but apparently this is possible using the software test point process (I am uncertain of the exact process for this, but there is a guide on the dc-unlocker site somewhere)
3. ADP/FASTBOOT RECOVERY UNLOCKING - Once the HCU software has provided a new code (or if you already have one) you can use fastboot oem unlock <code> where the <code> is the bootloader unlock code to unlock.
WARNING!!!! THIS WILL ERASE YOUR PHONE COMPLETELY!!!
4. ALTERNATIVE OS INSTALLATION - In my case I installed LineageOS 16 using an old guide (https://web.archive.org/web/20210726230701/https://depl0y.com/posts/P20-Pro-LineageOS-Guide/) which will only work (even the official version) if you patch the Lineage installation (update-script requires editing or replacement)
Install TWRP
Enable USB debugging
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp-3.7.0_9-0-charlotte.img
Hold VOL-UP & VOL-DOWN
fastboot reboot
You should now be in TWRP.
Flash LineageOS (and gapps)
In TWRP go to Advanced > ADB Sideload
adb sideload adb sideload lineage-16.0-20210211-nightly-charlotte-signed-modified.zip
adb sideload open_gapps-arm64-9.0-nano-20220215.zip
In TWRP go to Reboot > Bootloader
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY_RAMDISK_9.0.0.168.img
fastboot reboot recovery
You should now be in the stock recovery. If not, boot into stock recovery
Select Wipe data / factory reset
Reboot system now
THE P20 WILL ONLY BOOT WITH THE STOCK RECOVERY, SO REPLACE IT AFTER USING TWRP
5. WEBVIEW FIX FOR GOOGLE APPS - DO NOT SET UP WIFI DURING INSTALL!
Download com.google.android.webview.apk from apkmirror and copy to the device. Install using the default file manager and reboot the phone. Sign in to Google and update webview, google apps, etc
6. ROOT ACCESS - MAGISK
Install apk (copy to storage and run from files) for Magisk and patch RECOVERY_RAMDISK_9.0.0.168.img.
Reboot into bootloader and flash to recovery: fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY_RAMDISK_9.0.0.168_magisk_patched-25200_8akQl.img
TO BOOT PHONE WITH ROOT BOTH VOLUME UP AND POWER BUTTONS NEED TO BE HELD AT STARTUP!
