Question on Custom rom android 11 or 10 - Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Questions & Answers

Would like to know any custom rom android 11 or 10 that pass safetynet and cts without the need to root and install magisk. I dont need root or magisk for my daily usage but i need the rom to pass the safetynet and cts.
preferable rom with 500mb to less than 1gb of size.

You know you can turn of root also from magisk. BTW once you're bootloader is unlocked it will never pass safetynet so we use magisk patch. Its not the fault of android version or magisk you chose to unlock bootloader.

unlock bootloader and android pay

Can anybody confirm that with unlock bootloader only (no root yet), that android pay works or not on stock rom?
I'm tempted to at least setup twrp while i'm still on 20a but then if android pay don't work even before root then I might not do it. Thanks.

Android pay won't work if you unlock your bootloader only, but if you unlock your bootloader and install magisk for root it works I would set up TWRP, install magisk for root and also recommend installing the Asgard v4.5 kernel. Then in magisk manager you need to go-to settings and check magisk hide (and don't use built in busy box with magisk hide enabled) and check safety net. If you pass, you can use Android pay.

Has anyone tried this and been able to confirm if it works?
Also, will a T-mobile branded LG G5 that is "carrier" unlocked "only" work with Android pay? If not, do you need to go through the same process of unlocking the boot loader, rooting, and installing magisk? Cheers and thanks in advance for any feedback!

[Question] SafetyNet state in lastest Magisk?

I want to root my BLN-L24 to use Viper4Android, but last time I tried rooting my device I could not use Netflix or play some games because I had my device rooted and Magisk did not hide the root.
Has someone been able to hide root with Magisk? Does the Honor 6X with the unlocked bootloader pass the SafetyNet check? Is there any way to make it pass?

How to root - the most easy, most reliable way?

Now that I have (almost accidentally) upgraded my phone to Android 11 (stock), I would like to root my POCO F2.
I am currently not interested in any custom-ROM, but I need root for proper backup and a couple of other functions.
But what is the best way? I don't want to loose Fingerprint, and Banking-applications?
I understand after unlocking the BL, I can install MAGISK by flashing a patched Boot-image.
People in this forum recommend to flash TWRP, and then install MAGISK as the better way.
So, if there is an OTA-upgrade available my TWRP and MAGISK will be gone - but what about data?
With a previous device (Xiaomi A1) instead of flashing TWRP I was just booting into TWRP to install MAGISK, is this possible with our POCO F2?
After rooting, what will NOT be working?
Who can answer?
Thanks!
Anybody?
Let me rephrase:
Installing MAGISK by flashing a patched Boot-image seems easier and a smaller change to the overall system, compared to flash TWRP and the patched Boot-image.
The method recommended by MAGISK is also flashing the patched Boot-image. Nevertheless a lot of people recommend to go via TWRP. Why? What is the advantage?
Why do you want to root your device?
just downgrade .
I like Titanium Backup, all apps working with Android Auto (eg Screen2Auto), Tasker ..
So are you saying rooting and still have Fingerprint and Banking apps working under Android 11 is not possible?

A8 and Magisk 24 / Zygisk

I'm curious if anyone still using this phone has had any problems with Magisk 24. I don't know why I did it, but I just updated my Magisk the other day to the latest 24.3. Now I've lost the ability to hide root from some of my apps. I haven't been able to run Zygisk (bootloop when I try). And I have not been able to successfully downgrade Magisk. I'm still on Android 8, because I don't usually try to fix what isn't broken for me.
Does anyone have any suggestions for getting Zygisk to run? Or is there a non-Zygisk alternative to getting my banking apps to work?
I'm not having any issues on pie so far, did you flash the no-verity-opt-encrypt and rmm bypass in twrp?

Hello, brother, for Android 6 and below, you should use Super su root, but for Android 7 and above, use Magisk, just like now when you use Android 11, root with Magisk and the phone will be rooted.
Download Magisk Manager Latest Version 26.1 For Android 2023
Magisk Manager is an app which helps users to root their phone. With the help of Magisk you can run banking apps and also pass SafetyNet tests.
magiskmanager.com
With the help of this site's description and Magisk zip file
Root your phone with Magismac
And install the Magisk zip file with twrp
