Tecno sparl 4 - General Questions and Answers

HI Develoopers, please can anyone help me to solve my Tecno spark 4.
it doesn't boot and i tried to re-install new rom but i can't access the usb debugging since the phone won't boot.
how can i enable usb debugging in factory reset/recovery mode?

If a TWRP for this phone exists then you can try to boot into this TWRP - what is done by means of Fastboot - and from within TWRP you can enable USB-debugging because TWRP has an ADB interface and support.

Need to enable USB debugging on rooted phone with broken screen

Hi
I was given a Xiaomi Mi4 with a broken screen by a friend, and I want to use it as part of a robotics project. (I need this phone in particular because it features hardware scheduled shutdown & restart).
I can boot in recovery (mi recovery 2.01) & fastboot. 'fastboot devices' lists a device but 'adb devices' does not.
Is there a way I can remotely install something like JuiceSSH? Or otherwise remotely control it?
I think I need USB Debugging enabled to do this?
any help appreciated.
I can get into the internal storage, and I can boot into recovery and select 'install update.zip', so it should be possible to install a different rom on it.
Is there a rom for the mi4 that has USB Debugging turned on? Or has Vysor or something similar installed by default?

some custom ROMs come with USB debugging enabled .
I can't try for you cuz I don't have this phone model .
But I think you can turn on adb via recovery mode .
Are you using custom recovery.

Question Help with twrp (mi mix 1)

Phone: mi mix 1 (lithium)
I did the adb and fastboot steps in flashing twrp.img (twrp is correct for my phone)
Adb devices
Adb reboot bootloader
Fastboot devices
Fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Fastboot boot twrp.img
Here are the images (attached in post)
First, twrp logo screen appears
Then, it asks for password
Then, touchscreen doesn't work (3rd image is locked twrp)
I turned phone off.
Then power + volume up button goes to Mi-Recovery 3.0 (not twrp screen) which only shows 3 options
Reboot
Wipe Data
Connect with MIAssistant
Touch works when I boot phone normally (no touch working in only twrp)
How do I fix this?
just enter the password??

Flashing TWRP requires phone's bootloader is unlocked, whereas booting into TWRP doesn't require phone's bootloader is unlocked.
Wondering why you flashed TWRP and booted into it at the same time?

Oh? I tried flashing again
Fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Fastboot reboot
It rebooted into normal android
I turned phone off then holdpressed power and volume up buttons. It went to Mi-Recovery 3.0 not twrp. The cmd said twrp was flashed successfully.
Why is it like this?
I have 3 issues:
1. Twrp asks for decryption password
2. Touchscreen not working
3. Can't go to twrp using power and volume up button
edit: bootloader already unlocked before I'm doing all these twrp steps

Thanks. But it wasn't dm-verity. It says it's not enabled.
It was a kernel issue.
Good thing I have a usb hub and otg cable so I used mouse and flash drive to work through twrp.
I'm semi-noob at these things because the last and only time I dabbled in flashing was way back (samsung galaxy note 2) so I'm good as complete newbie in a way.
Thanks to everyone who replied here. Appreciated.
edit:
The faulty twrp was the source of the "touchscreen not working" issue

Poco F2 Pro: Wipe all partition. fastboot and adb not work.

When flashing a custom ROM via TWRP, a wipe was accidentally performed on all partitions.
Since then it is no longer possible to access the device via fastboot and adb.
Even an OTG stick is not recognized.
Booting into the bootloader is possible.
I can also boot the TWRP recovery.
Can the device be unbricked again?
Thanks for the help in advance!

What twrp are you using?
Which rom version installed A12 or A11?
Try with the twrp to format data, write yes reboot Twrp(If error red lines, reboot Twrp and format again).
Then plugin to the Pc on Twrp and check if visible, put the rom or use otg and flash the rom.
The recovery is 3.6.1_11-RedmiK30Pro_v3.4_A12.
Originally MIUI 13 was installed.
After formatting the data, the pc still does not recognize the device.
Even an OTG stick is not recognized.

Try this tool in Fastboot mode:

If you have a K30 pro dont lock the bootloader
I downloaded the MiFlashTool 2021.8.13.0.
The phone is in fastboot mode.
The program does not recognize the phone.

How to install TWRP without USB Debugging and Bootloader Locked?

Hi everyone! Can someone help me install TWRP without USB Debugging and without unlocking Bootloader. Please don't ask why I won't do those things. Just give me a solution.
IMO impossible.
But - IF USB DEBUGGING IS ENABLED - you always can BOOT into TWRP if you want to use TWRP for a single task.
To do so, follow the below steps:
First of all, download the TWRP Recovery for your device from this article’s Downloads section. make sure only to download the image (.img) file.
Next up, rename the recovery to twrp so that the complete name becomes twrp.img. Transfer it to the platform-tools folder.
Connect your device to PC via USB cable and enter the below command to boot your Android device to Fastboot/Bootloader mode
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
Your device will now be booted to the Fastboot mode. Now enter the below command to boot your device to TWRP Recovery.
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
Here twrp.img is the name of the TWRP recovery that we have just renamed to. If you haven’t renamed it, then enter the exact same file name instead of the above.
Once the device boots to TWRP Recovery, flash all that you need to do, without rebooting your device to System. Because once you do so, TWRP will be replaced with the stock recovery. In that case, you will again have to execute the above command

Bootloader locked = all partitions are locked for flashing. Also for flashing TWRP.
