xiaomi.eu 12.2.3 battery drain and laggy animations? - Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro) Questions & Ans

I'm on miui.eu 12.2.3 and I'm noticing laggier animations and insane battery drain (I'm roughly getting 5 to 6 hours of screen on time under moderate usage like watching tiktok, browsing the net, youtube, twitch, an hour or two of genshin impact).
According to my battery usage stats as of posting this, I have so far consumed 2721 mAh with a screen on time of 4 hours and 42 minutes and standby time of 9 hours and 19 minutes. Battery life right now is at 30%. The device I'm using is a K30 Pro Zoom with an advertised battery of 4700 mAh.
Is this normal or is it the rom draining my battery and making the device laggier or is it the battery itself?
Can anyone tell me what's the best rom to use with this device?

Have you looked at the automatic start of apps and as well as background permissions?

What's your battery life like on your K1?
I get roughly 30 minutes every 5%.
And you?
I get roughly 30 minutes every 20%
1h every 10%. That's rad!
I get like 9 hours with 100% normal usage watching 1080p vids, surfing (no gaming!). So approx 11.11% to 15% per hour. When gaming I get like 3 to 5 hours with 100%. Thus for gaming you definitely need a powerbank!!
Anyhow, the battery stats seem to be very inaccurate (under Lollipop, dunno about buggy MM). I may install a better battery app and crosscheck.

Is the MM update for this tablet still suffering from battery drain? Yup
What do you mean with "battery drain"?

New to tablets | Is my battery normal?

This is my first time owning a tablet so I don't know how battery life works here.
At 29% from 100%, I have 17h 29m, SOT 3h 14m, wifi 17h 29m, fallout shelter 40m, YouTube 22m, and some minutes on fb, etc.
Does my battery life ok or not? Thanks guys
Btw I'm on 6.0.1 v1.4 rooted, stock rom and kernel.
Seems a little low sot the tablet is generally going to get 5 or 6 sot hours
It depends on screen brightness! WiFi also takes more than it shows in the stats!
In the beginning, the battery drains a lil faster. But after some recharge cycles it last longer and even recharges faster.

My screen brightness is like 25-30% only everytime. Power plan is Max. Yeah the battery charges faster now, i get like 1500mA-3100mA, most of the time is 3100mA using LG G4 charger. In recharge cycle, do I need it to charge it to 100 then down to 0%? Thanks
Yeah, max performance takes most juice. Really no need for it until a heavy game lags, which so far never happened. I played Godfire with high rendering and it's smooth.
I usually recharge to 100% when the battery is at 5% or below. I've battery saver turn on automatically at 5% so I know when to recharge. At 2 to 1% the Shield makes an auto shutdown. Some say, it's not so healthy for the battery to drain it 0% every time. I dunno.
Okay, just found out that my Shield takes about ~5% per day when being idle. Hence, you'd get 20 days standby. Airplane mode on, WiFi off, processor mode: optimized!

S8+ normal battery drain

Hello,
I would just like to ask the normal battery consumption of the S8+ when idle(overnight when at sleep around 8hrs -10hrs). I'm getting 1% drain per hour. And having a 1%drain per 3-5mins when LTE is on and doing some web browsing/messenger/fb. Is this normal?
I've been downloading some video torrents lately and i'm not quite sure if idownloaded something that may affect some apps that causes faster battery drain.

Install a batter and data monitor.
Torrents, as you know, are not very safe. So it's a small chance that you have downloaded either bloatware or even a crypto-miner working in the background that is mining on your hardware.

Overnight, 8-10 hours my T-Mobile S8+ only drains 2%, my Note 8 on the other hand drains around 10%. I'm presently trying a new app, Naptime X - Super Doze, by Francisco Franco to see if it helps with the Note 8.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.franco.doze.x&hl=en
Last night I slept 12 hours and the drain was only of 3%. Cellular signal and wi fi have been on.
I'd say less than 1% per hour, maybe 3-4% for the whole night (7-8 hours)

Huawei P30 fast battery drain

Hello,
I've purchased a huawei p30 few days ago, and I noticed that the battery drains pretty fast comparing to a thread I've read here about Huawei P30 Pro battery drain (link).
It takes 1% of battery for about 4-6 minutes of use.
In addition, it consumes 10% overnight (10 hours), with only cellular and data connection, no wifi, no gps, no nfc.
Tested it with flight mode, and it takes 7% overnight (10 hours), which I think is way too much (should be like 1% right?).
I have version 9.1.0.193 (europe version), with the ability to upgrade to 240.
What can possibly cause that? I only have it for few days, with 3 apps installed: Whatsapp, Facebook and Instagram.
I wondered, how is your battery consume? that would be nice if you can share your stats.
thanks
Edit:
Tested the phone in safe mode, 10% over 10 hours standby, I got a defect for sure =\

Thanks for your response.
I did viewed the battery usage, however there is nothing that consuming too much battery, looks normal.
The drain got better overtime, now I get 3% overnight (10 hours) on flight mode without AOD and 5% with cellular, which is ok.
However, on standby time over the daylight, the battery drains 1% every 30 minutes, I think that is very bad. not sure why the standby time is so bad.
I get SOT of 6~ minutes every 1% (which is great for me).
So I'm not sure what could be causing that. I've watched a video by linus on youtube about galaxy s9+ on battery drain, and it seems that the mobo have a leak, which made it drain.
Is it possible that huawei also suffer from mobo leaks?

Stock firmware battery drain

Hello dear XDA members,
I bought Poco X3 NFC two days ago ( The Global version ) and I noticed that the battery performance is very poor.
At first I was using the screen @ 120 Hz frame rate and I was able to get 7 hours SOT normal usage, and 6 hours SOT while playing PUBG.
Then I changed the screen frame rate to 60 Hz but the situation didn't change... And I got 5 hours SOT only !
I would like to know if you are getting the same SOT?
Is it a general problem?
I'm on MIUI 12.0.4.0
I didn't get the chance to test the previous firmwares to compare screen SOT.
thanks in advance.
WOW, I have it set to 90 Hz and when I do not play, I get 11h SOT and over 40h on the battery.
Look
Same here. The sot. Is not good.
It will get better after one week or something

Lucky you, I have been doing some research and I found that other people have battery drain issues too, and other people have wonderful SOT
Yeah people either say it's insanely good or just plain garbo. I for example can't even tell lol. The built-in battery monitor doesn't seem to work properly. It spits out some nonsensical numbers and doesn't show all the apps I'm using. For example it shows 1,5h active for the display after 20+ hours of usage were I've watched multiple YouTube videos during this time (some of them longer than 20 minutes). And YouTube app doesn't even show up in the summary. Same goes for Opera browser which I use quite a lot. Didn't realise at first though, as I charge my device every other day or so and don't game much on it really (it significantly shortens the non removable battery life span). AccuBattery only shows estimates (free version). Don't know how they get an accurate/believable measurement with like 30h+ standby.

I heard of this issue too, and I started to use accubattery today to keep track of the battery usage
You need to calibrate your battery
Calibrate Battery:
Do two full charge / discharge cycles (from 100% to% 0, charge off to 100%) and finally a full charge (or half charge / discharge cycle, which is the same)
With that it would already be recalibrated.
Half cycle equals one full charge or one full discharge.
One cycle equals one full charge + one full discharge.
These are the so-called battery life cycles
Or charge / discharge cycles
Both terms refer to the same thing.
What kills lithium batteries are these cycles, it is like a flash memory, it has limited write cycles. Lithium batteries, the same, but both discharges and charges count.
That is why they recommend doing small charges and keeping the battery between 20% and 80%. Older people recommend carrying out a charge / discharge cycle every 15-20 days, to ensure the correct calibration of the battery.

So maybe it is the adaptive battery feature which takes some time to work correctly, I think I am getting a slight improvement.. still testing though
Battery Improved a lot since I wrote this thread, I think adaptive battery feature started to work.
My SOT is even worse than yours.
I am using poco x3 indian varient with 6000 mah battery
What did you do to increase SOT ?
