I have 2 android radios: old 8227L and new PX6. With 8227L everything works fine: amp, steering wheel control etc but with PX6 only amp (without fade and balance working, only aplituner). I've found that there is different module resposnible for factory settings, also for canbus settings. New radio have only Simple, Raise and HiWorld options for my car when old one have also XINPU and BNR. I have attached photo from old radio

Is it possible to update/change canbus selector?
Edit: new unit have similar selector to this one

Neither are MTCD units, which means, wrong forum to post in.
i have an mtcd with px5 device and rom Hal9k Mod v5 and have the same problem with canbus selector, its the correct forum

Hi everyone, Im using HU PX5 Android 9 rk3368 MTCE GS 3.40. I'm having few issues with stock rom, please help me choose new one.
Biggest issue I'm having is whitelisting 2 apps - spotify and my nav. After waking up the HU they are both on the list of running apps, but they doesn't seem to be working. got to run them again everytime I start the car which is very frustrating. Also:
- audio quality throught Spotify is really bad
- I can connect my phone via BT, but I cant hear the caller, nor he cant hear me. also I get no ringing sound.
- I have an Airlift air susspension installed which I can adjust through app. I cant connect to it using HU
Is there a ROM which I can use and have all those problems solved?

So i searched but could only find threads without any responses.
On the px6 mtcx head units how do I know enable separate controls for different types of volumes? I.e. On stock Android you can set different volume levels for media/notifications/alarms etc. But i can't on my head unit
This causes an issues with controlling the volume of my navigation app. The sound output from the app is loud compared to the music playback. There is a setting inside the app to change the volume but it is linked to the notification volume setting in Android and thus does nothing on my head unit.
Do either of the main custom roms enable your maybe?
Some head units have volume controls for each item you have. If yours has this then you will find it in FACTORY SETTINGS.

Yes, normally the center unit is the receptor, in your unit you should have KEY1 and KEY2 wires, the central unit must be hoocked there, and then your buttons will be available in the SWC programmable section !
There can be issues if your car uses the Canbus for SWC commands. Usually, if your car has Canbus and the SWC uses the canbus, then the buttons are not reprogrammable. If your buttons are resistive, then it may be possible to make some hardware/wiring changes so you can use one of these modules.
You'll need more details about your car, such as schematics, whatever type of car you have. You haven't mentioned it.
If someone else has done this before on your specific vehicle, that would be another/the best way of knowing it could work.
Hello, I installed an android head unit on my 2020 Rav4 over a year ago. It came with 5 skin themes that I could select. I didn't like the default one which was the first one. So I select one of the other 4. Recently the android HU has gone back to the default one. I checked the setting and it still has the one I picked as the selected theme. When I click on it again it changes to that skin theme. But when I turn off the vehicle and turn it back on it switches back default one. Has anyone had this happened to them and does anyone know how to fix it ?

hello everyone,
I just installed one of this, I believe this is one of the FYT variants. can anyone help to confirm?
1. So far everything wking except GPS mix when I am using radio. Radio gets muted but navigation prompt can't be heard. Have tried on/off GPS mix, turn volume up ... Navigation prompt works with spotify or vlc, just not FM radio.
2. Android auto only use the middle section of the unit, I am guessing it is limitation of AA?
3. Any newer firmware and application available for this unit?
4. Any other "launcher" can be used for style of HU? I see most launcher are meant for horizontal screens.
