Android 11, status bar permanently showing - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Questions & Answers

After updating to Android 11, some full screen apps are permanently showing status and notification bars. An example is chrome remote control. Even after UI 3.1 update this is still not fixed. Any workarounds for this behavior?
Sometimes it blocks the UI of the app.

You can use System UI Tuner on the play store to get rid of the status and navigation bars on whichever apps you want. Just need to do a couple of adb commands to make it work.

Samsung Galaxy Store, Good Lock Family, Quick-Panel Star.
You may have to wait for the update on the Good Lock apps for 11. They're usually done within a month or two.

System bar lock problem

I have enabled System bar lock (Settings/ASUS customized setting/System bar lock). After locking system bar everything works as expected. But If I try to unlock system bar, by sliding a lock icon in system bar, it asks me for a password (never set any password before !?) and after I type anything as a password, system bar crashes and I cant use device.. Back/Home/Apps button is gone, clock and other infomations is also disappear. All I can do is to reset device, because there is no way to exit running app.
I noticed this problem after latest 4.2.1 update. Please, tf300t - WW users, can you check this on your devices? Any idea how to solve this? I really ned this feature, because when my kids play games its very usefull.

Having the exact same problem, for time being I just disabled the the system bar lock function, even though I need this for my kids when playing it so they do not keep getting into the settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have keyboard dock and still can use device. Just go to Settings and disable System Bar lock and System bar appear again. At least I dont have to reboot device.
Please, can anyone check this problem and report here?
I also have this problem, but on a TF300T with US sku.
Latest update of course.
I tried using/changing the lock pin and password, and the asus app locker password... no luck whatsoever.
Seems it's fixed by last update.

Kiosk mode instead of immersive mode on N5

Building an app that requires full kiosk mode on a nexus 5. No access to or notifications from other applications, as well as hiding any system nag, tool bars.
I know kitkat now supports 'immersive mode' , but this isn't sufficient since the user still has access to other apps and the system menus.
Does anyone know of any application or system 'hack' that will allow kiosk mode on a Nexus5 device?
If you had no access to system bars then you would have no way of exiting the app.

I think that is the point of having a "kiosk" device. One where its accessible to the public and they cant do anything but use the app that's opened. Much like the PC's at BestBuy / other retailers where they have the adverts / "check out these cool features" demo programs that you cant close out of.
You might be able to pull off something like that with a custom launcher but I don''t think there is way for a standard application to do that.
yes it IS possible
The only thing I haven't been able to do is hide the top icon bar with the wifi, battery level , clock icons viewable on a swipe down from top
Xposed mods
People have been modding away the Nav par all together and switching to pie controls etc. It's certainly possible.

Have you been able to remove the status bar? (My only remaining hurdle)
Did you ever resolve hiding the status/notification bar?

Oreo Notifications Messed Up?

I recently upgraded to Oreo on my S8+ and have noticed that when I clear notifications from the top notification bar, it also removes the notification dot/bubble from the app icon. I can't seem to find a way to get the dot/bubble to stay even when the notification is removed from the top. Anyone know how to remedy this?
That's not a bug, it's a "feature", the evolution of android the most sh#$%y that really get's my nervs.
Use Nova launcher, downgrade to nougat or use "IOS". Besides that there is multiple reasons to do it ...

Question Good Lock Back Tap?

Has anyone heard of this? I had someone post up an issue about it's Notification on REDDIT today and had to kook it up. I can't find access to the app but I did find this:
Samsung’s latest Good Lock module adds Back Tap gestures to your Galaxy
Another handy Good Lock module for One UI 5 from Samsung is here

Ha figured it out. It's Good Lock RegiStar app
I can confirm it works. I just had it on my s22u few days ago. Only thing is, it has 2 persistent notifications in notification bar.
The good lock suite has several different apps to fully customize almost every aspect of the phone.

These notifications prevent me from using it. They drove me crazy lol
Use Notification cleaner from play store, after removing notifications you can Uninstall app if you don't need it back

Keep the notification bar neat and clean

I want to disable the following features on Android 12

The following features I do not like and would like to disable:
When setting screen lock type to "none", certain notifications will cause the device to unlock, like when the notification for the charging status is received.
The green dot icon in the status bar that hides important icons that notifys me when the camera is being used (I found a temporary fix but it reverts after a reboot)
Annoying software update messages in the settings panel even though I have auto updates disabled. I prefer not using software that is constantly evolving and changing.
Certain samsung apps that I could not find alternatives for that keep nagging me when new versions are available (a way to block internet access to certain apps would probably do the trick)
Is there a custom OS that addresses behaviours 1-3 then I might be able to look into 4 by myself if need be?
