Hi!
Everyone knows that the sound from Chinese units is bad and that's why I have one question for you ... I have a unit PX5 with DSP, V4Aa and Neutron installed, but it's still not good ... do you think installing something like this would help?
https://www.jlaudio.com/products/fix-86-car-audio-processors-system-tuning-98103
Thank you for your answers.
Broad statements like "sound from Chinese units is bad" is highly subjective. What might sound "bad" to one person might sound great to another. A lot of it depends on other variables besides just the head unit, such as amplifiers, speakers, sub-woofer, etc. being used with the head unit.
In addition, could it be that the audio is being put thru too many processes? What I mean is that the unit has its built in DSP which modifies the sound one way, then V4A does its thing to the audio, and then Neutron (not exactly sure what Neutron is) does something else. All of these processes can be cumulative.
That being said, you probably should disable some/all of the other processors (V4A, Neutron, and the built in DSP) to have a shot at improving the sound quality either with or without external hardware.
Hi jlbooth...thanx for your answer...I'm sorry I probably wrote it wrong...english is not my language ... the sound isn't completely bad but I'm still missing something there ... i was install V4A because sound was worse before ... Neutron is a music player which I think is the best ... in the car I have damping on all the doors, 8x PHD speakers with tweeters installed and a JBL subwoofer under the seat ... and since I'm not expert for sound I want to ask if it pays to invest money and buy module to which I added a link or it would be a waste of time and money...maybe i hope that is there somebody with installed something like this fix module...
My pleasure Qwecko. Yes maybe someone here on the forum might have experience with the processor you linked or similar device. I would be interested to know if the external processor helps if you do decide to purchase the external unit. I might have a look at Neutron, so thank you for the suggestion .
The Neutron player doesn't look beautiful but is really functional with many settings ... I think it's a must have application ... Anyway, is there anyone who has a device like a music fixer installed? ... or someone who could say yes to buy because ... or don't buy because ...
thank you
I have the axxess dsp. Pretty much the same thing as the JL but you can use your bluetooth connection and your phone to tune instead of a computer.
It does a good job at making it sound better.

Hi Bob_Sanders ... thanks for your reaction ... which head unit do you have installed? ... is it possible to install DSP fixing modules like yours on PX5 head units?...is it hard for install?...and last question, do you have in your system some amplifiers or is without?

I have a dasiata max 10
Yes you can use an external dsp on a px5, but you also have to be using external amps. I have 3 external amps. One for front, one for rear, and one for subwoofer. It is not hard to install. It just plugs in the the rca plugs.
...is than volume control functional from head unit?

Please, my eyes bleed from reading in the forum, but as far as I can tell noone has succeeded...
I am looking for a tweak or cab or ROM or anything that can boost the audio output of the FM radio through the earphones!
I have tried everything and nothing works.
It is important to me because I ride motercycles and I want to be able to listen to the radio.
Thanx to everyone for the great work you are doing here!
Link
And you might search for a lesson in googling as well
I ride a motorcycle as well, and I think listening to the radio while riding a bike is just outright dangerous. But that's just me
Ouaou thanks! You are great!
But none of these work.
Audiopara increases all the sounds except the radio through the earphones. I have tried it.
If you could use your skills in helping people rather than making fun of them you would be much appreciated.
currently no one has been able to increase the vol on the FM radio i think that it is more of a hardware limitation than software, i could be wrong and yes all volume boast cab, and audiopara files does not work on FM Radio, i guess we got to to wait and see
I guess a setting in audioparam3.cvs can change volume for FM raido.
Some version of Energy ROM has very low FM volume and very loud mp3 volume but it has been improved a lot.
Thank you both for the answers.
So flywhc are you saying that if I change ROM, since I am currently using ENERGY, the radio might be louder?
Because the stock ROM was equally low volumed as ENERGY ROM
I believe it is related to some settings in the ROM so some ROM has louder volume some has lower.
I guess settings are written in audioparam3.cvs

You should consider one of the Bluetooth helmet headsets, like the Parrot SK4000, or the Cardo Scala Rider with Radio.
I have the Parrot and it is awesome...
Thank you, but its a rather expensive solution, although much safer...
Besides I use 3 different helmets, according to what I am driving and the outside tempereture and weather, so it would be a lot of trouble to adjust the bluetooth to another helmet every time!
I tried itech clip radio bluetooth that was cheaper but it was impractical and had a very poor sound quality.
After all apart from me many would benefit if someone could come up with a solution.
search this forum and play with that audioparam3.csv you may get a solution.
alternatively you can change a better 3.5mm earphone. I am using SonyEricsson w series phone earphone. It has much better quality and loud. It may be dangerous for driving because it blocks noise!
Thank you. I started messing with audiopara and I will see if I can make anything out of it.
I also use 3.5 mm earphones. Sennheiser, noise canceling also!(I know it is stupid and dangerous, but I am addicted!)

I also use noise cancelling earphones (senheisser). I know it is stupid and dangerous but I am addicted!
Thank you. I have started playing with audiopara but my hopes are down...
I also use a noisecancelling set (sennheiser). I know it is dangerous and stupid but I am addicted!
Hi friends, i bought yesterday a bluetooth samsung hm1500 headset (2.1 bt + edr)
http://www.mytrendyphone.com/shop/samsung-hm1500-bluetooth-27371p.html
and i can't connect with tg01. The phone cannot detect it. I tried everything for hours , tried with all available roms but still nothing.
Can anyone help please ?
Use the traditional problem solving procedure
1) Test your new headset with another phone (friend, relative....)
2) Test your TG01 with another Bluetooth device
Good luck! Tell us the results
Motorola are the best
Bluetooth headphones are real fussy. Motorola's pretty much work with everything I've found.
Thanks friends for the replies, i send it back, doa, i tried with 3 other mobile phones and nothing with noone conected only with my laptop was possible to connect, very special bluetooth.
Has anyone found a bluetooth headset that one can have a decent conversation with others without having problems of not being heard loudly? I have two headsets, a cheap ebay hong-kong one and a Nokia BH-215. People complain hearing me very low with both. If i get away from the phone but within the bt radius things get even worse and don't get better even if i get close to the phone again. I think it's because of the phone and not the headset.
Did you try SRS 3 cabs install?
No but i used it once and i remeber that it messed up my bt connection. But that was back in 6.5.x rom. Maybe i''l give it a shot now that i'm on 6.1.

Kevin i bought one but still connection tends to lose sound quality with too much "noise garbage" in it. Can you tell me with which radio have you been using it with? Is it the 1600 of the rom in your signature?
Thanx

Hi Jonous,
I'm using it with the other radio - what was effectively the 'Italian' stock radio 0300.76
It's difficult to compare notes with this sort of thing remotely... but I'd confrm that there is 'some' degree of background noise present even on this high-end BT headset device when compared direct to a hard wired uUSB connection (into the same earphones - per my sig). Like any audio device, I'd recommend keeping the volume level on any element in the chain to < 60% in order to keep noise down.
DEspite the above, I'd regard the MW600 as a quite capable piece of kit in conjunction with the TG01 giving extra flexibility - but it is a trade-off to some extent with quality.

Hehe i feel like an idiot, i enbarked on an endless journey of flashing and flashing different radios and trying out the sound quality of each one cause bt headset is very important for me. When i got to 0300.76 suddenly sound was crystal clear! On the 1st test call. On the second call i was bearly heard, crappy sound again. Then it it struck to me...I remembered that sometimes when you press the answer call button of the headset the sound is transfered to the phone...I thought "no it can't be...if this is it i'm a real idiot!!!" And yes, when i pressed the button again sound was transfered to the headset and sound was magnificent! So the lousy sound i got with all other roms was because i was trying to be heard through the phone's micrphone which was some 2-3 away from me hahaha so other end of line heard little or nothing.
Well enough said, this headset is brilliant, loud n clear sound, caller id, fm radio everything! well almost, i wish it had vibration too but don't care, i'm happy with my buy! Thanks again

You are most welcome - I'm delighted you are up and running and happy with the S-E MW600 headset. There are so many variables with these things as well as the subjective element wjhen it comes to perceived audio quality that it is difficult to translate one person's experience to another. Great news
the Sony MW600 is really great !
But don´t forget to increase the bitrate of the streaming codec.
I modified/added this values in HLKM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings
BitPool 65
MinSupportedBitPool 65
MaxSupportedBitpool 65
SampleRate 48000
SubBands 8
Blocks 16
Allocation 1
UseJointStereo 1
Unfortunately Track names are not submitted like with SE or some HTC phones
Hi Friends!!!
I have also the same problem with a BT car.
And the problem is like it´s been described (sound very loud in the microphone)....
I remember that in my I780, I changed some settings (don´t remember if it was in Hardware or registry).
Anyone had a solution?
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone here has tried using their SGS with a Bluetooth headphone, eg the Nokia BH-905. I've never had a Bluetooth headphone before, been using earphones with wires since forever, but was thinking of making a transition.
Anyone tried the combination before? Does it work? Whats the quality like ?
I'm alright if it doesn't work for calls or can't control the music eg fast forward rewind etc, it doesn't really bother me as I leave everything on shuffle anyhow. Only thing that matters to me is if it is compatible, and how's the sound quality
Never had a Bluetooth to match to my SGS before, so I don't know how well it works.
It's kinda pricey, so I would like to know if it actually works before buying it.
on the side, anyone using a Bluetooth headphone, and any model you would recommend?
works perfect I´d recommend cheaper version for the not so sophisticated audio consumption
I personally use
LogiLink Bluetooth Stereo Headset V2.0
just google for them.... those are about 12 € and they are worth each cent
I can hear about 10 Hours music with them before the go down....
I have used Nokia BH-503 (or possibly a cheap copy of the BH-503, it was from DealExtreme) with no problems. There is about a 250ms delay on the sound so it's not the best if you want to watch video through headphones because the sound will be out of sync with the video, but it's fine for music.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I ended up going for the Sony DR-BT101, the Nokia BH905 seemed really good, but costs about 4-6 times more than the Sony, which I got for 44euros. Will let you know if its any good after I test it out, if anyones interested
im heavily into audio, cars, and linux/android so i was thinking what is missing between those things??
an Android Head unit!!
ive heard of the things called auto linQ (by google) and the parrot head unit or w/e that is and thats not what im talking about..[and there not out]
im talking about an after market head unit powered by Android that we can create different roms for..
it would enable us to alter the Aux, input, radio, steering wheel controls, the surround sound for the car, and that oh so beautiful boom boom from the sub and how we can access it. and everything else on them duh.
and of course have an ANDROID CONNECTION (for your phone) instead always having ipod/iphone connection
the biggest problem i see is the hardware..there is nothing that android could be easily ported to that has all of these outputs..and creating the drivers for them..lol
i mean at the rate everything is advancing if this ever happens the next step would be setting up a connection between the cars com port so you can talk to your car through your headunit...and tune it and run diagnostic checks..a few years off but pretty cool
just looking for input, comments, HELP, and definitely support on this thought,
..id really love to see it happen and im on a learning path to get to that level but..not yet
[im talking about at least a touchscreen headunit here lol most likely 7"...they start at $200]
I've been thinking the same thing, I'd love to be able to get rid of the head unit in my car and have a little dock that I plug my phone into like a faceplate and it run in my car. With an FM radio in the phone you wouldn't need anything else. It just needs a few preamp outputs and I'd be good to go.
A bonus would be a Linux port for the phone ( or a megatune app ) so I could run the software to tune my megasquirt on the fly with out a netbook in the car.
i hadn't even thought of that, i was talking of creating more of a stand alone headunit for your car not using your phone but that sounds pretty cool..and itd take away any theft possibilities haha..probably be easier too
I'd love to be able to "output" audio and video from my Desire to the car...either a head unit or built in NAV unit. I don't see why this feature hasn't been incorporated yet?
I hate the whole "the car comes with an iPhone connector" dominated car audio market at the momnet...
Not to dredge up an old topic, but does anyone know of anyone developing this? I've heard about the AppRadio for the iPhone, but would love to hear about an equivalent android device.

The quality of the sound with the Jack is not poor but even worse !
I got so disappointed by the sound in headphones through jack, compared with other even simple devices is awful.
The response is flat and the 3D sound is terrific, this should be a phone dedicated ALSO for gaming but quiet disappointing.
Moreover the phone is certified Hi-Res audio ... and it looks like a bad joke !
I bought it recently, I made several tests trying to find out if I had to make a fine tunning or something else, I tried several different headphones, even the Hi-Res Xiaomi Mi in-ear Pro but nothing good comes out.
Thinking to change it asap, unfortunately because over all I like all other specs and I feel enough satisfied.

Yes it's audio through jack, right.
About which headphones I used you can read , it's written.
I'm still trying to find out a tuning but mostly in 3D the perception is so flat.
I can say that before this phone I used : S10+, Rog Phone 2, X2 Pro, P20 Pro (just to have a compare with my latest competitors)
I'm using the audio jack with a FIO FH7 inear headphone with Poweramp, in this player you can activate the Hi-Res Output and the Sound is better than all i've ever heard on a smartphone. I've you use Spotify or something else that sounds boring with the same track like on Poweramp.
I think most players don't activate the Hi-Res output and thats the problem.
Good luck.

Hi
The problem is with the region you have set if it's in the EU including the UK then change it to something like USA or St Helens as it's due to the recommended limit of 85db set by the EU. If found helpful please press the thanks button.
Hrishabh
I agree that the sound is quite flat, especially with the hi-fi audio option activated.
One thing I think is that it might be related to headphone impedance. I run Etymotic ER-4P's using an aftermarket cable without the normal 100 ohm resistor. When I add an adaptor with a 50 ohm resistor in series, the sound becomes more dynamic and the soundstage is bigger.
In a way it's logical, because many hi-fi headphones (especially large ones) have a higher impedance.
Running audio mods such as narsil and viper4android allows me to correct the sound a little bit.

Where is the setting to change region?
I do not activate the high resolution because it is marketing (like other Smartphone) and in presets of "sound effects" I put it in Voice because in intelligent it is quite weak both in speakers and with speakers. I tested them with SoungMAGIC E10C and Sony MDR-1Am2 and the sound is quite acceptable as long as you know how to equalize according to the songs that one listens as well as the player (local vs streaming), the headphones that you used I also used for a while And they are bad, sincerely Xiaomi does not know how to make audio and the only thing it does to make them believe that it knows how to handle it is to buy the aforementioned "Hi-Res audio" certification
