After unblocking bootloader, I flashed patched magisk for rooting. With fastboot.
Since then, the phone is in bootloop.

Tried all drivers.
Tried msm but it won't Work becouse of the "unknown device" issue...
I think I deleted to many things...
I really need your help!!

Hi,
I have an issue with a Nexus S i9023 of a friend
I installed the latest stock ICS CF_YAKJU_IMM76D some months ago and everything was fine.
I broke the glass of the screen and it was substitued: after a couple of months, the phone entered in a bootloop.
I tried to access recovery but was impossible, I could get to Fastboot and Download mode but choosing recovery from the first started bootlop again.
I flashed a latest CWM in fastboot via adb but no joy.
On top of that, handset behaviour is strange because only 1 on 20 times it is recognized by the PC as a Samsung device, in all other cases it is a "unknown device".
I remove all drivers from Windows and reinstalled the naked version, but again only sometimes I get it... I found out I need to have connected another handset (my HTC currently...) to have it recognized!
Now I can enter in download mode using the USB jig and I can see it from Odin, but if I use the
CF_YAKJU_IMM76D_full.tar
I get "verify image ipbl (fail)" on the handset.
If I use
CF_YAKJU_IMM76D_nowipe_nobootloaders_norecovery.tar
I get an "invalid volume size"
Do I have an hardware issue here? Some partition/internal memory with failure?
What else can I try to flash via Odin?
Obviously now after the fail I can't even get fastboot...
I also tried Unbrickable resurrector under Linux but it doesn't recognize the handset when I connect it.
Any suggestion? :crying:

Ok, update. Using this thread I was able to flash via Odin 1.82 the 2.3.4
However I am still in a bootloop and I can't get fastboot but not recovery... and in fastboot I can't via USB the handset because it says "usb device not recognized"
Hi, I need your help here. I'm trying to fix my friends phone for her. What she told me is that it got stuck at the second boot screen after an update. She also said that it happened before and her father got it working. So my first thought was to clean flash stock firmware but I can't get ADB working. I've installed usb drivers and minimal ADB and fastboot but it doesn't recognize the phone in "adb devices" (I have no idea if USB debugging was on in dev options but I'm assuming it wasn't). I have no idea what to do now as I'm not that familiar with Xiaomi firmware.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Xiaomiflash sees the device but not as COM.. but 72e728fb (?) and trying to flash it in this state ends with error:Flash xbl error
Hi everyone,
after a whole day spent try to fix my oneplus 6, now the roblem is that the fastboot is not working anymore. it gets stuck at the starting point with the oneplus logo and the writing Fastboot Mode.
Just to explain better, i rooted my phone but, trying to fix an audio problem, i did something wrong (probavly wiping all datas with twrp) and the phone got stuck at the Fastboot mode (opposite problem that i have now). After i fixed this (flashing manually every partitions) the phone is working again, but i realised that, by mistake, i used the oxygen 9.0.11 for oneplus 6T. So i tried to go to the Fastboot Mode but it gets stuck at that point. I also see that the phone is not rooted anymore.
I installed again Adb and fastboot but it doesn't fix the problem.
Just to give other random informations, the boot loader is still unlocked and i can't lock it.
As you can see i'm totally not an expert. I just wanted to root my oneplus 6 to increase the volume of the headphones.
Anyone that can help me?
Thanks

The idea is to boot it in download mode. You'll need the Qualcomm drivers, msm download tool, and oos full rom. Run the tool as administrator.

Fastboot require Android SDK(Software Development Kit) and different USB drivers for windows computer may be that's the reason why your Fastboot is not working.

i unistalled all drivers with Driver Takent. The only driver detected is ADB whem i connect the phone. The Device Manager still recognise my phone in the Usb Devices section as "OnePlus" and still doesn't let me upgrade to the qualcomm drivers.
FINALLY PROBLEM SOLVED with qualcomm drivers!!!! Thank you gus for the big help.
Last question: should i keep useing now the qualcomm drivers? thanks

If it works, yes ofc.
Hello everybody, I was trying to update my Magisk and that process failed. I thought nothing of it put it off. Tried to restart my phone a few days later and now it's stuck in a fastboot loop. Cannot even go into recovery. So I'm like okay, probably need to reinstall recovery and flash a clean rom again. Try the "fastboot boot recovery.img" command and it's giving me a "waiting for any device". Googling says it's a driver error, but that's strange because I have used my phone on this computer before with ADB and fastboot. Fastboot and ADB commands work fine on my Oneplus 3T.
A week ago I also had the problems after the Magisk update. But connecting to the PC worked normally for me. Once you've installed the drivers, there shouldn't be any problems. You could use a different cable.
Incidentally, Magisk only messed up the boot image. It is sufficient if you flash your boot.img, then the twrp.zip, reboot into recovery, then the magisk.zip.
That was completely enough for me. Cell phone works normally again, without data loss.
Good luck!
Yeah that's exactly what I am trying to do, I can't even flash the boot.img to get into recovery, my computer won't recognize the device for some reason now. Do you know where I can find the drivers? I could only find shady 3rd party sites. Thanks!
Tried installing drivers from here, no change.

No joy, looks like that's the same file as the one I downloaded. Thanks for your help anyways.
Now I can't even turn my phone off lol. It woke itself up this morning magically and now whenever I hit power off in fastboot it just boots up again into fastboot. Might have to send it in...the horror
Your phone is crying out for help. It doesn't like to die.
I think you will have tried everything possible. Have you already connected it to another computer with the right drivers? Tried other cables?

Haha yeah, it's like your kid who refuses to go to bed and is throwing a tantrum. Yeah two different computers that are known to have worked with this phone in the past (how I unlocked the bootloader in the first place). Different ports, different cables. It seems like I'm having the same issue that a lot of other people are having with the last Magisk update, except they're able to flash the recovery image in fastboot to get back running.
This is a ****ty situation! That was really a nasty magisk update. I wonder why its consequences are so different, even though it is the same cell phone.
fastboot cannot recognize device but adb can
usb debugging is enabled on device. running latest version of adb, fastboot. Have tried on both mac and win10 but same issue on both. Oneplus 7 pro is running 10.3.0GM21AA >fastboot devices >adb devices List of devices attached 966c8016...

Look at this. Maybe it will help you so that your computer recognizes the cell phone again.
Hi All
I have ROG 5s tencent edition. it was modified by seller to global. I have been using it for more than 1 year now. Last night something happened and it went off. I tried turn it on but it kept bootlooping at logo. It is not detetedable by computer because bootloader was locked by seller before selling. I had no idea about that at that time.
MY device is now in bootloop. I can open bootloader but it won't take me to recovery mode. Fastboot commands are also not working . Phone not found by computer in any state. Can any one provide me with some pointers on how an i flash firware,
Recoery is not opening. When I select it from bootloader it keeps bootlooping
Fastboot is not seen by computer. Tried many cables, both ports.
If anyone can guide me that be a huge favor as this is my daily driver
Your device should be dected in bootloader mode even if it has been locked. Connect via the side port with a good data cable and check drivers on Windows.
Once you have verified you have access to send Fatboot commands to the device in Bootloader mode, you can simply do a RAW flash to any working version and then upgrade normally to the firmware version you want. You don't need unlocked bootloader to flash this way.

I have tried but it is not detected as anything. Not even unknown device. I have installed qualcomm drivers. What other drivers are there? Could u tell?

If there isn't a hardware issue with the device, you should be able to.
Try to delete the driver and re-install it. Use the official Android USB driver from the SDK as opposed to Qualcomm drivers from random places on the net. Plug it in from the side port and try to turn it on while connected. Have Device Manager in Windows open and notice changes. Read out what it is recognized as. If absolutely nothing, then it's the cable, Windows or the device may really have a motherboard defect.
I believe it's more likely motherboard. Is there any fix for it?
