Hi friends, what is the way to turn on hardware acceleration.
To turn on hardware acceleration go to setting then go to advanced settings. You can find the steps from here - https://droidtheory.com/chrome-hardware-acceleration/ which explains how to turn hardware acceleration on android and windows chrome version.

This has been discussed in a few places, but I'm wondering if anyone has a fix. This thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1644348 discusses the software side, but veers off talking about inherent display (hardware) issues. The issue I'm talking about is almost definitely software.
Putting the TF300T into Power Save mode shows this most reliably. The entire screen takes a few seconds to fade to a low-contrast, de-saturated version of itself. Another way to reproduce this effect is to be in Balanced or High Performance mode and to simply watch any full-screen video, like those from m.youtube.com. I believe the Flash Player is exempt from this issue, since it doesn't engage the h.264 hardware decoding, but that's speculation on my part.
My question is this: is there any way to disable this feature? I get why they did this, but the benefit isn't worth the poor quality video. There's a modified buid.prop people seem to be using. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1641219 Will that help my situation at all?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
Responding to my own thread here.
This issue was fixed in the release of the official Jelly Bean firmware.
To disable this "feature" on the official Jelly Bean firmware, go to Settings -> Asus customized setting -> under Power Management uncheck Enable smart backlight adjuster (Auto-adjust the screen backlight based on display content to save power consumption).
Hi,
I've recently bought an Ainol Novo9 Spark, and I've been having issues with some apps crashing. Upon investigation in one of them (SpaceChem) and contact with the developer, it looks from the logcat as though GPU Rendering is always forced even though the option is disabled in Settings > Developer Options and even if I turn all developer options off wholly. Does anyone happen to know if there's a config file or such that this points at that I could check to verify whether the option is on or off (and plausibly disable it manually)?
like the title says. how do i make developer options permanent thru reboots power offs. Because some of those settings are the only way I can run, certain aspects of my Samsung i727 running CM 10.2 stable, smoothly.
Also why won't my games run efficiently without HW overlays enabled, what gives?

I'm not an expert by any means...but the best way I've found to make 'disable HW overlays' persistent (on my Rikomagic MK802IIIs) is to use Tasker and Secure Settings. Create a task and name it whatever you like. Then create an action / plugin / Secure Settings / Hardware Overlays (under Root Actions). Set the desired state to Off and save. Then make a Profile to trigger that task. I tried doing the system / boot event, but that failed horribly. So instead I currently use Wifi connected state. When my device boots, as soon as the wifi sees my network SSID, Tasker checks the Disable HW Overlays option in Developer Options. Works slick for my purposes.

I think this would work better with the activate on boot option, what's wrong with that? I'm not always on Wifi :/
Every time I boot my tablet, the Tegra Service crashes instantly. I have no idea why, and it only happens with the 5.0 update. This makes game streaming unstable (I've got SLI 970s) and disables screen record and Twitch broadcasting. Any idea whats going on?
Also, where are the advanced power options? They used to be SHIELD Power Control on 4.4 and you could individually edit game render/performance settings on a per-app basis. It seems to be gone now. Any help?
Hi,
I recently bought a Tolino Tab 8 with a Intel Atom Z3735 processor, running on KitKat 4.4.4. Everthing works fine but every time i switch between apps the screen brightness changes depending on the background of the app e.g. when i open twitter (mostly white background) the screen brightness goes up and when i go back to the home screen (black background) the brightness goes down. No matter if i enabled auto dimming in the settings or not. I've read that has something to do with Intels Display Power Saving Technology which is used to extend the battery life of the tab. I tried to edit the build.prop (mentioned here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65422943&postcount=1786 ) to turn it off but nothing worked so far. I also tried to find the driver settings itself ( mentioned here https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo...Tab-S8-50-Screen-Dimming-Problem/td-p/1873040 ) but could'nt find the right settings.
The Tablet was manufactured by Trekstor if this matters somehow.
Hope you guys can help me to solve it.
I also have a minor bug where i can't change video resolution in the youtube app above 720p even the Display has the resolution of 1920x1200 which i think has something to do with 4.4.4.
