I've been looking to see if there are any good books about Android game development, but so far the best I've come up with is the apress book "Pro Android Gams". It's kind of old by now though, and I'm curious if it's at all relevant any longer or if I should skip it. Are there any others that you've found useful?

I'm a masters degree student from Norway. For my thesis I have developed four Android 4.0 apps. These apps are similar to discussion forums, and they have different design solutions. I'm trying to find out which design is the best for making good discussions!
In order to do this, I was hoping some of you would want to try out one of the apps! Basically, I am planning to have a "test period" for about one week, where people can use the app for discussion. After this I have a quick survey with some questions relating to the application, and the discussion itself.

I'm using the bookLearn Android App Development by Wallace Jackson, it's about making an advanced Hello World! app that teaches various things you can use in your own apps.
There are many books from that author, like "Android Apps For Absolute Beginners" or a book specifically for android games. I'm sure you can find a pdf on the internet.

I am also new to ROM development(about a year) and the only advice that I will give is start with a ide(eclipse or android studio)a good book on android development,a download PDF on eclipse and android and start with hello world onward.Git your hands dirty.
